My mother has been at Grenhive care home for nearly a year. Since arriving at the home, I have noticed a significant improvement in my mother's communication (suffers from dementia). The staff are excellent, and I am truly grateful for the care and attention they have paid towards my mother. All residents are noted to be happy and relaxed. Residents and staff are a little family, and the families of the residents are always included.
Covid19 has meant that I have not been able to visit as after. However, I did before lockdown and visiting him in the garden (Greenhive) today. The place is clean, the staff are attentive, and the food is excellent. This I experienced in March this year.

Some excellent, caring, hardworking staff who give thoughtful, patient support to my mum. However, occasionally some staff can be impatient and abrupt with my mum. Some excellent, caring, hardworking staff who give thoughtful, patient support to my mum. However, occasionally some staff can be impatient and abrupt with my mum. Issues - 1, communication continues to be poor at times, eg knowing who to raise issues with, as several team leaders/keyworkers ask me to speak to team leaders. Don't always get feedback as requested from hospital appointments etc. - 2, activities, some are good some childish, too basic. Realise staff need to cover a range of needs but - Minibus - what's happening? External activities - have stopped? School/vicar visits stopped? Food: cook tries/good snacks, but mum finds meat poor/too many sandwiches.

Thank you for taking the time to review Greenhive and we are pleased that you are likely to recommend our home. We expect all our staff to be patient and respectful to all our residents. We will be looking further into your comments to ensure that this is always the case. If you have any queries, our team leaders are the first point of contact to discuss these. We regularly review our activities to ensure that these reflect the interests of our residents, however, we respect people’s wishes if they do not wish to participate. The priest visits once a month and the school will continue to visit us regularly, in addition to external activities with our other homes. We are in the process of purchasing a minibus for outings, to share with our other homes nearby. We have passed your feedback on our food to our kitchen.
This care home offers the most fantastic care. All the staff are cheerful and very helpful indeed. They genuinely care for the well-being and safety of residents and keep me informed of changes or particular requirements. The activities provided are all appropriate and appreciated by residents....

My wife died after spending approximately 6 years with Alzheimer's. I cannot speak too kindly of the staff. They displayed the greatest professionalism, care, compassion and kindness over a long and difficult illness for my wife. They did this with humour and fun shown to me, which was a great support. In the closing weeks of her life when probably she should have been in a hospital, they kept her in the home. These are some of the best people I have ever met.

You only hear about had homes, this truly is an excellent home!
My grandfather lives here and the care he gets is outstanding, have never had any issues at all. All the staff are friendly and approachable.
