My Mum has been a resident at Greenhive for a number of years. We visited numerous homes and came up with a top 3 list of which Greenhive was one. Fortunately, there was a vacancy when Mum needed it. Prior to the pandemic, we were able to visit for lengthy periods, so were able to engage with staff and were always welcomed. Throughout the pandemic, we have been able to communicate with Mum via the Greenhive Whatsapp and window visits and finally bookable visits to see her. The staff work hard to accommodate our requests for visits and make them go smoothly. I am looking forward to being able to have lunch alongside my Mum at some point in the future.

I have found the care, compassion and respect shown by the staff towards my dad to be exemplary. They show infinite patience and enthusiasm in looking after the residents. Very importantly, they are always happy, positive and upbeat.

At a time when Covid 19 has made life difficult for everyone and access to the home is limited forming an opinion of Greenhive is also difficult. In general, though my experience is good. The staff are very kind, caring and cheerful which I value above all else. The training appears to vary from highly trained to needing more training. For example, Dad has had his hearing aids put in the wrong ear several times while I was there and so with this painful experience he now won't let anyone put them in and therefore can't hear. Putting in hearing aids should be a basic part of training for working with the elderly. Also, the level of communication could be improved. Sometimes my emails are left unanswered and I am not sure that all staff are in communication with each other? So I am not sure they are aware of Dad's condition - this is a worry I have not a fact, but it is also the impression I have formed over the weeks. Also, the phone used by the carehome for residents to speak to their loved one has a problem with the volume - which does not work properly. So they need a new phone or loved ones cannot hear what you are saying and neither can the carers. I hope you find the above helpful and constructive.

Thank you for taking the time to review Greenhive. We are pleased that you rate our home as being very good and I will ensure the team is aware of your kind comments regarding their conduct. I have discussed your father’s hearing aids with the team to ensure that these are used correctly. Our team...

Despite the Covid situation preventing me from contact with my dad, I am happy with the overall care he is having from the friendly staff. We understand the situation and look forward to seeing him in person in due course when the pandemic is over.

My friend is new to this home and care setting. So far, I am very happy to see her settled and being cared for 24-hours. The carers and receptionists I've met so far have been wonderful, especially when asking specific questions! Would recommend this home to others.

My mother in law has been in Greenhive for almost 3 months. She initially came in for respite which has been extended. Every staff member we speak to is always very helpful, polite, lovely and caring and we know she is in good and safe hands and being well cared for. It's really nice when we phone they know who we are, especially as there must be so many family members doing the same and there are a lot of people for them to know. The manager is always very approachable, as are all the staff and I do feel like we are individuals rather than a number (which is obviously how it should be).

Thank you to the manager and all the Greenhive staff!

My mother, who has Alzheimer's, recently moved into Greenhive. She has been a very challenging resident and it will take some time for her to settle in, but the staff have been very kind, caring, professional and understanding - they always keep me informed of developments. I have visited Greenhive a few times to drop off belongings for my mother and have had the opportunity to speak with staff in person and over the phone. The staff I have spoken with are always thoughtful, diligent and willing to go that extra mile. I would definitely recommend Greenhive to friends and family based on my interactions with the staff.

I have only had garden visits with my sister due to restrictions. I can not say much about the inside of the home because I have not been allowed to go in. My sister tells me how nice it is and what activities they have been doing and she seems quite happy to be there.

I am very happy with the service provided to my mother at Greenhive. The staff are honest about things and do not hide anything, they keep me updated. The manager holds Zoom meetings with family members and updates us on any progress in the organisation which is reassuring at this time at this scary time.

The staff have been very caring and helpful at this difficult time. I would like to express my grateful thanks for their support. One small matter, he always needs plenty of stimulation - the quiz from the internet was a good idea, and I hope there will be more occasions. Also, the visit to the garden was good. Any opportunity for music or signing would be appreciated.

My mother has been at Grenhive care home for nearly a year. Since arriving at the home, I have noticed a significant improvement in my mother's communication (suffers from dementia). The staff are excellent, and I am truly grateful for the care and attention they have paid towards my mother. All residents are noted to be happy and relaxed. Residents and staff are a little family, and the families of the residents are always included.

Covid19 has meant that I have not been able to visit as after. However, I did before lockdown and visiting him in the garden (Greenhive) today. The place is clean, the staff are attentive, and the food is excellent. This I experienced in March this year.

Nan originally went in for respite although initially reluctant to go, she liked it so much she ended up staying permanently-which I think in itself speaks volumes about her care and that she was happy.
Us as her family were grateful she was somewhere that she was being cared for so well.
The staff are all wonderful, could not rate them highly enough, so caring, she is always telling us how well they look after her.
She has a nice room, is always talking about how nice the food is and on every visit the home is incredibly clean.

Would definitely recommend and thanks so much to all the staff at Greenhive!

Mum had a nasty accident, and we did not want her to leave the hospital without a care package. We decided to let Mum go into Greenhive for respite. She was so happy and well looked after; she did not want to leave.
The love and care she gets, is wonderful, especially in this unprecedented time.
We know she is safe and well cared for. She will be 100 on Sunday, and we know the carers are going to help celebrate this big birthday with her.

We live 100 miles away, and we feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful care home for her.

Some excellent, caring, hardworking staff who give thoughtful, patient support to my mum. However, occasionally some staff can be impatient and abrupt with my mum. Issues - 1, communication continues to be poor at times, eg knowing who to raise issues with, as several team leaders/keyworkers ask me to speak to team leaders. Don't always get feedback as requested from hospital appointments etc. - 2, activities, some are good some childish, too basic. Realise staff need to cover a range of needs but - Minibus - what's happening? External activities - have stopped? School/vicar visits stopped? Food: cook tries/good snacks, but mum finds meat poor/too many sandwiches.

My wife died after spending approximately 6 years with Alzheimer's. I cannot speak too kindly of the staff. They displayed the greatest professionalism, care, compassion and kindness over a long and difficult illness for my wife. They did this with humour and fun shown to me, which was a great support. In the closing weeks of her life when probably she should have been in a hospital, they kept her in the home. These are some of the best people I have ever met.
