Review from M M (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My mum is comfortable and is being well cared for by the staff at the home. The staff are friendly, hardworking and compassionate. They are welcoming to families and friends. We are updated and kept informed of my mum's wellbeing and care. My observation is that my mum is always happy to see her carers offering smiles and a trusting posture. This tells me a lot about the care offered as my mum is non-verbal.

Reply from Paul Beasley, Operations Manager at Waterside

We are so pleased your cousin is enjoying their home at Trafalgar and your view of the staff is so positive. We will ensure we pass on your feedback to the team and thank you for your review.

The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness; there was no smell of urine (which can't be helped but can be cleaned). The staff are so patient and kind; they treat everyone with dignity and respect. The rooms are clean with a good shower. They always offer a cup of tea. I have been his main carer for 3 years. Knowing he is safe and well looked after has been a huge relief. Thank you.

The patient is treated with dignity and care. The room is nice and warm. The nurses are caring and friendly. The patient is putting on weight and trying to verbalise despite the hospital declaring that the patient would remain mute. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Always find the staff accommodating, and have a good feeling about how they are looking after mum. The place and mum are kept very clean. They also try very hard to give mum the food she is fancying. We cannot complain about that. She is being looked after.
