Weybourne care home, located in the leafy heart of Abbeywood in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, is a care facility providing residential care for older people living with dementia.

Weybourne provides a wealth of support services for people living with dementia, with the aim of not just providing care and comfort, but also a new, positive and more engaging stage in their lives. The team of qualified and attentive staff provides 24-hour person-centred dementia care.

The home provides a central courtyard garden that is safe and secure allowing residents to relax and enjoy outdoor activities.

At the heart of Weybourne is its philosophy of care, The Eden Alternative, where social interaction and engagement is encouraged and boredom is eradicated by addressing the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom within the home.

We have been very impressed with the care for my mother. It is extremely well run with a wonderfully caring manager and staff. Every resident in the agency is made to feel special. There are many activities and much thought seems to go into daily life and care. Thank you to you all.

Amazingly patient and caring team who have gone above and beyond to help my dad's transition from living independently to assisted care. Dad is so well looked after, I haven't seen him look so well in over 10 years. The team always make you feel very welcome when visiting and often call to update me
on how my dad is doing.

I came to view Weybourne for a relative today. The home is very charming, caring with friendly staff. The eating area was beautifully laid out with fresh fruits and snacks available. Highly recommend this home. I feel quite happy for my relative to be here.

Very caring and friendly staff. Not sure about the food though as my mother is not impressed with the limited choices. She is always hungry when I visit and the first thing she asks is have I brought her anything to eat.

Weybourne is a safe and caring environment. The carers and support staff all play their part to ensure that that home is well run and managed and that the residents' needs are their main priority. There are organised activities and outings but also space for those who enjoy peace and quiet.
Family
and friends are made welcome and treated as valuable support in the care of their loved ones.

My Nan has settled into Weybourne very comfortably after an initial apprehensive start due to her being very independent prior to the dementia. I am happy with the excellent care provided at Weybourne especially the professional and exceptional care provided during the COVID 19 pandemic. Nan is clearly
very happy and seems to be very well. On each visit we have been impressed with the staff and how friendly they have been. I have high praise for Weybourne and the staff, particularly one member of staff who we met on our last visit. Thank you.

My mum has vascular dementia and Weybourne have kept her safe from COVID-19 by listening to the government and their advice. Now garden visits have happened but after 5 months of not seeing her properly, what memories my mum has have now gone, she now thinks the carers are her daughters, it's very hard
to see mum look so confused.

Staff have always been very helpful and caring towards my Nanna.
It’s good that in the 6 years she had been in the home some of the staff are still there.
Every time I visit the staff are always on hand and available should I have any questions or queries.
Throughout the Covid-19 I really appreciate

My mum has been at this home for nearly three years and she and the family have nothing but praise for the lovely staff. As they are so pleasant and helpful and nothing is too much for them. Mum is happy with everything at the home and has settled in nicely.

Since my previous review in October, a new manger has been assigned with two new activity staff and bedrooms are undergoing renovations.
This has improved all my comments.
