It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for, looked after and are happy. If there is anything else that we can help with, please just ask.
Absolutely amazing! Our nan has been residing at Elmstead for a while now. They give full support for families and their residents. Have done their best through these terrible times we are all experiencing. A BIG thank you to all.
Thank you for your review. We are so glad you have felt supported through what has been a very difficult time.
I cannot speak highly enough of this home. Mum had a really bad time before going to Elmstead but she is so happy there. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble. Mum is like a new woman, she is so well cared for.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy to hear your Mum is feeling 'like a new woman' in our care.
Elmstead has been home to my Step-Father for the past year. I can not be more grateful to the staff for the genuine care and love they not only give him but to my family. I know he is in the best place for his needs and even through his dementia, he enjoys his activities and especially the food. This home can not be faulted and if you are thinking of sending a loved one, I highly recommend it.
Thank you for your kind review. It is lovely to know your whole family feels supported and cared for by the team. I will pass your kind words on.
Maintained video calls. Prior to Covid, visitation was easy and good home. Friendly staff and not been any issues. Managed safety to the best of my knowledge well, with Covid. Hopefully, visitation opens again when safe.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad to know you feel your family member is safe in our care. Thanks again and we hope to be able to welcome you for visits again soon.
When initially I realised that I would need to find a care home for my husband I felt totally overwhelmed with what seemed the awfulness of the situation. Yet from my very first telephone call to the Manager at Elmstead, I could not have felt more supported. The staff are totally amazing and throughout all of the difficulties that Covid has inflicted on the country, they have remained cheerful, creative and upbeat. They have obviously not been able to have their usual entertainers go into the Home but have still managed to organise fun activities to occupy the Residents. The care that my husband receives could not be better in any way. He certainly enjoys the selection of great home-cooked food. Many of the staff have worked together over several years and this shines through. They truly are a great team and I cannot say thank you enough for all that you continue to do to make our lives as positive as possible by keeping us connected and supporting me as well as my husband!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We are so happy to hear about the care you feel you have been given by everyone at Elmstead. Thank you again and we look forward to being able to keep supporting you both going forward.
My aunt has lived in the home for almost four years now. She settled in very easily as the staff are so friendly and caring. She loves the food and her room is kept immaculate. When we could visit, I was always made welcome and sometimes joined in with activities, which was lovely. The staff also make a fuss of my aunt on her birthday which she enjoys. The staff have been working so hard, especially during this pandemic. I really appreciate everything they do now that we can’t visit. The staff keep me updated and even help me to see her via video call. We couldn’t have found a better place for her to live. She is so well looked after.
Thank you for the kind words.
Not being able to visit my mum "normally" has been incredibly difficult. Knowing she is being cared for by the Elmstead family is so comforting. The staff Facetime me and the outside visits are being organised well. They have been absolutely fantastic during the lockdown and I honestly could not want for my mum to be in a better place. Thank you to everyone at Elmstead.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time.
Every time I have been to visit my Nan, all the staff have been very welcoming and nice to talk to. All of the residents seem to be very well looked after and happy. The home itself is always very well presented and clean.
Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us such lovely comments.
All staff at Elmstead are always kind and chatty to our family and Nan, she is so well looked after. We have missed her so much during the pandemic but she couldn't have been in better hands, they treat her so well and we are very happy.
Thank you for trusting us with your Nan's care, we are so pleased to hear that you are happy with the care we are providing. Thank you for leaving us a lovely feedback.
Many of them have worked together for several years and some members have left to further their careers, but have returned because they enjoyed so much caring for the residents and their colleagues. Although it is not a dementia home, in my opinion, there are a high number of residents who are in different stages of senility/dementia and the staff make every effort to understand the needs of each resident. Generally, the atmosphere is of a laid back happy group of residents and staff alike, getting on with each other and residents being allowed to do what they want, within reason.
We deeply appreciate the feedback of our residents and their families. Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind words for us.
My friend has been at Elmstead for the last 3 months. He had never been to a care home before. I was apprehensive to start with, however, he connected so well with the staff, even at his assessment and when he got to the home the staff settled him in so well. On visiting him he not only looked 5 years younger, clean, tidy, well-groomed and happy. He loves the food and was mixing with other residents and activities. During the last 8 weeks, my contact has been through the staff who have been fantastic. It is the best for him and his family and myself we cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for trusting us with your friend's care. We really appreciate the kind words.
My mother has been in Elmstead Care Home for almost a year and is very happy. The carers are wonderful and I have peace of mind knowing that my mum is in good hands. During the Covid Pandemic they have arranged for me to video call my mum regularly and keep me updated with photos and videos, which has made a difficult time so much easier. The home is always clean and they provide activities and organise regular social events which friends and family can attend.
It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for your kind comments.
Whenever I visit my nan she's always happy and well presented. The carers are very friendly and helpful and the home and my nan's room is always clean. The food is of a high standard and the portions are generous. The carers send us photos and let us videocall on their personal mobiles which has been fantastic during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
Thank you for trusting us with your nan's care needs. We really appreciate the kind words.
We are extremely impressed by every aspect of this care home. The staff are conscientious, caring, friendly and professional. They go the extra mile in their support of the residents. We have total trust and confidence in them.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after.
Since my father has been living in Elmstead Care Home he has settled in well. I have no doubt that after researching and visiting several care homes, we chose the best care home for him. The staff are happy, friendly, caring and supportive. They always contact me if there are any problems and reassure me that he is ok. As a possible area for improvement, I have noticed that entries put into the diary about my father have not always been communicated to other staff.
Thank you for trusting us with your fathers care. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
It has been wonderful to hear (and see) how happy my mother-in-law has been throughout her lockdown experience. Every day I am grateful that she came into the home in March just in time to experience all the excellent care and attention at a time which has been difficult for everyone.
Thank you for trusting us with your mother-in-law's care. We really appreciate the kind words.
The staff always extremely helpful and happy. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely home.
My parents have been residents for a number of years, and the care and support received during the current Covid pandemic has shown yet again how caring and fantastic the whole team are at Elmstead. It has been very difficult not being able to visit my parents since early March, and I really worried about how they would cope not being able to have visitors or go out. Elmstead has done a great job keeping everyone safe and happy though. They have facilitated contact by arranging video calls, printing off emails, showing pictures and video messages that I have sent in from the family. I can’t praise or thank them enough for all they are doing in these unprecedented times, and that goes right across the board including housekeeping, catering, entertainment, carers and management.
It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for your kind words.
My parents have been well cared for at Elmstead for a number of years and are very settled. The staff have always had a very caring attitude and go the extra mile in looking after them. They particularly enjoy the regular entertainment provided.
Thank you for your praise. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your parents in our care.
