My mother was admitted into the home during the Summer of 2023. Every member of staff made the experience of her going in a very easy transition. Since then, again all staff have taken care of her every need with care and love. The food and activities are of a very high quality. We would always recommend this home to friends and family who may need this facility for their elderly relatives.
Thank you for your kind words, We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Mother in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
Very friendly staff, makes you feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated very well. Quick to sort out illnesses ie doctors called and support given.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
It's very worrying when a vulnerable loved one needs specialist residential care. I did a lot of research before choosing this home for my mum. She's been a resident since 2017 and has been very happy here since day one. The carers are genuinely caring and that's what makes the home so special. Emphasis is placed on making the residents feel like they're in their own home. My mum's room is full of stuff that makes her happy. There are lots of activities and good company to be found for every resident. Elmstead Care Home provides the kind of care you just cannot provide in a private home; specialist equipment with safety in mind and skilled carers who know what they're doing. I couldn't care for my mum as well as Elmstead do, which is why it's been the best choice for her.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mum in our care and hope Elmstead Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible for her also. We hope she feels like a part of our Elmstead family. Please let us know if there...
My aunt has settled into Elmstead Care Home very well and finds the staff there helpful and friendly. She is always well-presented and enjoys the services of the hair and chiropodist people. Overall I feel she is much happier in herself than she was when at home
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after, especially hearing words like “helpful” and “friendly” being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Since being accepted into Elmstead Care Home my relative has become much more settled. Previously when they were living at home they were forgetting meals and becoming increasingly isolated. Whereas no one wishes to put a relative into care, there is an improvement that would not otherwise have been possible.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your relative in our care and we hope Elmstead care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
Very pleased with Elmstead Care Home. Our uncle was made very welcome and soon settled as a permanent resident after a respite stay. We feel we have found the ideal location for a single gentleman who was becoming lonely.

I found Elmstead Care Home, on my weekly visit, very friendly and not at all what I expected of a care home.

Because my aunt is very happy here and staff are lovely.

My brother came to Elmstead Care Home in May and he has been so happy. He has made lots of friends. He has settled in so well because the carers are so helpful and friendly. He is joining in with all the activities and enjoying it all so much. The staff are all very easy to talk to and understanding. We are so happy that our brother is being well cared for and he is happy. The care manager is lovely.

My sister moved into the home recently and we couldn't be happier. She is being so well looked after by all the staff, we couldn't ask for more. The staff are kind, considerate and very hard working. My sister has settled in like she has always been there, she is back to her old self! We particularly like and the activities put on for the residents.
We are happy to hear you feel at ease with your sister being in our care, it is always nice to hear words like "kind and "considerate" being used to describe our care. Thank you for choosing Elmstead Care Home.
Our father, who suffers from dementia has been a resident at Elmstead Care Home for about a year now. We have found he is treated with genuine affection and respect by the core care team who are all long-standing members of staff. His bedroom feels bright and clean, and he enjoys a varied diet. The manager also handled the pandemic particularly well.
Thank you for your review. We are happy we could help you and your family through the transition into care, especially during difficult times with the pandemic. We are glad that you found this was well managed. Thank you again for your feedback.
Comfortable accommodation. Very clean. Nice room - it was good I could have some of my own furniture, ornaments, etc. Good food. Caring and attentive staff. Cheerful and helpful staff. Activities are available. I am very happy here. I don't think I could find anywhere better.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so glad to hear that you are happy in our care at Elmstead.
This is an outstanding care home. From the moment we checked my brother into Elmstead sixteen months ago, he became a changed man. He had been listless and depressed, but the very dedicated and sympathetic staff soon helped give him a new purpose and spirit. He was ill, and this in itself, presented the staff with challenges, but they were very skilfully and professionally oversaw a marked improvement in his condition. He was by no means the easiest patient, but he was treated with great respect and affection, and his dignity was maintained at all times. We were impressed not only with the standard of personal care he was given but also with the standard of cleanliness, food and activities. And remarkably, Elmstead has remained Covid-free as the pandemic raged around them - a tribute in itself to the very high standards this home maintains. Communication, too, has been first class. At all times, we were kept up to date with every aspect of my brother's condition.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is so nice to hear that your Brother found a new sense of purpose once he moved into Elmstead and that the staff treated him with such dignity and respect at all times. We hope you will be able to go away from this knowing that he received the very best care possible. Thank you again for your kind words.
At a very stressful time, and after extensive searches, we, as a family, could not be more grateful to the manager and staff at Elmstead for giving us the reassurance that my husband is in a loving home. It's perfect!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult and stressful time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your husband's stay as comfortable as possible.
My mother has only been at Elmstead for a short time, but the difference this has made to her has been amazing. Mum is settling in far quicker than I imagined and is very happy. She is enthusiastically joining in the many activities on offer and is beginning to build relationships with the wonderful staff team. Everyone I have dealt with has been very compassionate and extremely professional. I cannot recommend Elmstead highly enough and can only thank them for the kindness, care and support they have shown.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to hear the transition has been easier than you expected and that Mum is feeling settled and happy in our care already. It is always so nice to hear words like compassionate and professional used to describe our staff. Thank you again.
There are not enough words to express our love and gratitude you gave to mum, my brother and myself during her time at Elmstead. Entrusting the care of someone you love to others is a very difficult decision to make. From the moment you walk into Elmstead, you feel the love and the warmth all around you. All your worries are forgotten as you are drawn in by a team of wonderful people. The team, where do you begin? They are all exceptional in every possible way, from carers, entertainment, domestic, kitchen, maintenance to management. Nothing is ever too much trouble; they truly went above and beyond to ensure that mums time spent at Elmstead was happy, never a dull moment, you name it they did it. As a family, we have had some amazing times and some sad times. Everyone pulls together to support you when needed, always going that extra mile. What more could a family wish for? Knowing that when you leave your loved one, they are always in safe hands.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is well cared for and is looked after with warmth and compassion. That you use words like "exceptional" to describe the care is so lovely, we will certainly pass your kind words on to the whole team. Thank you for trusting us to look after your Mum.
The staff have been overwhelmingly supportive. Nothing is too much of 'an ask'. For example, on Easter Sunday (a non - visiting day) the staff were happy to take Easter cards and presents to my relative and to alert him that I was standing in the car park where he could see me and we could wave to each other. This was incredibly important to us as a family as it was the first Easter that we have not been able to meet and celebrate Easter together. I phone the home on a regular basis and my calls are answered in a timely and efficient manner. As the delegated family visitor I enjoy time with my uncle and really appreciate the swift and efficient process of completing the lateral flow testing before my visit can commence.
Thank you for taking your time to leave us such a lovely review. We are so glad that you feel nothing is too much of an ask, as we always endeavour for this to be the case! We are so glad to hear you got to see/wave to your loved one at Easter and are happy with the communications your receiving. We will be sure to pass your lovely words on to the relevant people.
Going into a care home is never is, but particularly during the pandemic, staff at Elmstead were very understanding, helpful and provided reassurance for myself and their new resident. Excellent attitudes, with the result, my aunt settled in without difficulty.
Thank you for taking the time out to write your review, and thank you for your understanding during such a difficult time. We appreciate it is very hard not being able to see your loved one for such a long time. I hope your Aunt has now settled in well and that you are now reassured she is getting...
