My mother Evelyn has moved into Homemead in early January and I could not be any happier to see her here.
The property is extremely homely.
Well appointed with comfortable rooms and spaces for all the residents and there's a very calming feel to the whole place.
The home feels safe and it is extremely well organised and run by all the staff.
All carers and staff are just lovely!
Patient, understanding, and genuinely caring people, all of them.
Tracey especially, a real earth angel ! Thank you so much for looking after mum they way you do. The love you show to all the residents and they way you work with all the people is amazing xx.
Thank you so much for leaving us a review. We are so pleased to hear that your Mother has settled well at Homemead and that you are pleased with your choice of care home. We are extremely proud of our wonderful staff team and the dedication that they show to providing a safe, warm and homely...
All the staff are so considerate of her needs. My wife reacts to their attention with a smile. She has no memory of her life before being in Homemead, but I am confident that she is being cared for by a team who all work so hard to make her as welcome and comfortable as possible.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We are pleased that we have been able to provide a new home for your wife and that you also feel welcome and comfortable in the environment when you are visiting. I will make sure to share your review with the team who I know will be really pleased to receive this.
The home is like one big family (yes it has it's characters) and everyone is included, entertainment provided and well received by the residents, there are no set visiting times which makes it easy for us to staffer times.
My wife and I enjoy visiting the home and have made friends with the residents who stay there, cannot praise the home and staff enough.
We are so pleased to hear that your Mum has settled well at Homemead. The team work so hard to make it a welcoming, homely and stimulating environment for all residents and so feedback like yours is truly appreciated as it shows this is paying off. I will make sure to pass your feedback on and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
The staff are very polite always smiling and very attentive, Homemead was a lucky find.

Homemead is a find old building in a quiet leafy setting. The staff are welcoming and caring and the atmosphere is one of calm and warmth.
Thank you for your kind words and we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review!
Lovely friendly staff. Such caring people. Home is clean and homely. Very spacious for residents and very good lock system on front door. Very happy with the care my Nan gets. Overall such a great place and I'm very happy with the care and love in the home.
Thank you so much for your feedback, this is so lovely to hear. We take great pride in creating a warm and homely environment where our residents are happy and safe, and I know the team will be pleased to hear that you are so happy with the care provided to your Nan at Homemead.
Myself, my two brothers and mum's friends (who visit from time to time) have found all aspects of Homemead's care to be excellent. The staff are especially friendly and energetic and always keen to ensure that residents are safe and productively occupied. We are particularly impressed by the program of events.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review on Homemead, and we are very pleased to hear that you have been so happy with the care provided to your mum. Your feedback on the program of events is also welcomed as the team have been working hard to create a range of activities that appeal to all tastes and we are pleased that residents seem to be enjoying this.
My wife does not know the names of anybody there, residents or staff but seems to be as happy as she can be under the circumstances.
Thank you for your kind words. We understand how difficult it can be making the decision to move a loved one to a care home but are grateful that we have been able to support your wife and provide a caring and loving environment where she is comfortable. I will make sure to pass your feedback to the team who I know will appreciate it.
The home has recently had a refurb which is great and although there are other homes in the area none for me offered the homely, communal, reassuring atmosphere that Homemead does. I would definitely recommend the home to others.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Our team work so hard to create a caring and homely environment and it is so wonderful that this is recognised and appreciated. I will be sure to pass your feedback on to the team at Homemead who I know will love to hear this.
I live far away I only get to visit once every 3 to 4 months, so it would be useful if I could have a regular (fortnightly / monthly) one-on-one with the care team (over video chat) to get some feedback on her condition.
The staff have always been helpful and have time to chat.
The staff have also attended to her specific needs where she requests them.
It is wonderful to hear that your mother's overall health has improved since moving to Homemead and that she is still close to her friends and the community that she knows. In terms of receiving regular feedback via video chat please do reach out directly to the Home Manager who would be very happy...
Homemead has recently had a facelift - it looks really good and suits the age of the property. I would like to see more activities to help pass the days, including more gardening and outside activities in the warmer months.
Thank you so much for such wonderful feedback. We are so proud of our team and the warm, homely and caring environment that they create for all residents and we are pleased to hear such positive things about the recent redecoration too! In terms of activities, there will definitely be more plans...
Visited my mother on 19th November 2024 to take her out for lunch. Spent a few hours at Homemead and found all staff to be polite and helpful in getting her ready to go out. Returned from lunch and again the staff went out of their way to welcome my mother back. Left her with a smile on her face.
It is wonderful to hear that your mum had a smile on her face and is clearly happy at Homemead. You feedback means a lot and we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.
I visited my mother and I was pleased how well she is looked after. The carers are attentive and kind. The standard of care seems consistently high and my mother appears to have everything she needs at the home.
We are so pleased that you are happy with the level of care provided for your mother and thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. I will make sure you feedback is passed on to the team at Homemead.
My mum is (I think ) the longest serving resident of Homemead. She became a resident in December 2016. She is now advanced Alzheimer's. I can only say Homemead is fantastic. I know mum is in the best place and the staff are so caring and know my mum so well. I know they will always call me with any concerns. I am so glad I chose this home for my mum.
It is so great to hear that you are happy with the choice of home that you made for your mum, and that she has been happy living there for so many years. Feedback like this is so important to us and we really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.
Homemead is a small, friendly home with a caring staff team and my mum always seems happy and well looked after when I visit. As her needs have changed and she needs more input, the staff have always responded quickly and kept me informed which I appreciate. A couple of areas for improvement would be, less reliance on agency staff, as obviously they are less involved and less aware of individual needs than the permanent staff. Also whilst I can't fault communication when it is an essential or emergency situation, sometimes on an everyday level it can be a bit up and down, it would be great to have a more regular update on mum and any needs she has or activities she's been involved in etc. However, overall, I am happy to have found Homemead for mum as she is happy, safe and well cared for.
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that your mother is happy living at Homemead and that you have found the team responsive and caring. We are always keen to gain feedback on areas we can improve and welcome your helpful comments. Firstly we are delighted to report that great progress has...
Staff, especially the team leads and keyworker take time to communicate with relatives.
Lovely feel to the home.
Mum is well cared for and we are generally very happy.
The provision of physio as needed is great.
Prompt response to any medical needs.
The management team have improved in the last few months with 2 new members.
Cons: A lot of agency staff - some of whom have become regular. Permanent staff are very busy and under a lot of pressure.
Unsure how many activities take place each week. Residents are often sitting in the lounge with the TV on when l visit. (Could be timing).
Would be good to use other rooms and garden more for small group activities.
More opportunities for physical exercise would be good.
Front door is not ideal from an access point of view - narrow doorway with steps.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate all feedback as it helps us to understand where we can improve and gives us an opportunity to respond to concerns. We acknowledge the high agency use and have been working hard to address this so I am pleased to share that we...
I find the staff very caring. Nice garden too. I think my father is well looked after there and the staff are always very friendly when we visit. Good parking too. It’s a good location as well for taking out my dad.
Thank you so much for your feedback and I am so pleased to hear that you are happy with the care and support provided for your Father at Homemead.
My father was admitted to Homemead very quickly in November, and the staff and managers were extremely helpful and sympathetic. They looked after my father extremely well, even though he was only there for a short while. I would like to thank them for all their care and patience when caring for my dad. He also enjoyed the food and often said how good it was. I was grateful for that, as he was known to be a fussy eater!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review - we are so pleased to hear that your Father was happy whilst at Homemead and we have passed your feedback about the food on to our Kitchen Team! We do really appreciate when people take the time to share their experiences as it is important for our colleagues to know the impact they make - so thank you!
Excellent service and very friendly care, at the core of which are a team of highly professional and patient staff. My mother settled in far more quietly that I even expected, and now has a far better standard of life than she ever could have sustained at home.
Thank you so much for your feedback - we are so pleased to hear that your Mother has settled well. I will be sure to pass your comments on to the Manager and Team at Homemead.
A special thank you to the manager and all of you're hard-working team, a flagship in care!
Thank you for such wonderful feedback. It really means a lot to our teams to hear that they are making such a difference and that as a family you are happy with the care and environment we are able to provide for your Dad. I will pass your thanks on to my colleagues.
