Find that the home is very good, very caring and very helpful, very friendly staff. Lovely rooms for residents and food very good and there is plenty on for the residents to join in, and sometimes during warm weather, days out which they enjoy.

I have known this care home for many years because my mother was resident there. Now I am a volunteer visitor, providing musical entertainment every week. I do not visit the residents' rooms at present because my work is confined to the ground floor. I am familiar with those residents who are in / or visit the main lounge. My impression is that the new residents settle in quickly, and the residents generally are treated with care and respect. The furniture and surroundings are attractive. There are always carers in the main lounge, and they respond quickly to individual needs. The carers are well supervised.

I have worked in care all of my adult working life, progressing to a Team Leader position and then Deputy Manager.
I initially joined Homemead as an interim Deputy Manager in June 2024, covering maternity leave and was sad when it was time to leave; however, the opportunity arose in April 2026 to return as the permanent Deputy Manager, and I have been so happy to be back!
