Frognal House Care Home - Avery Collection

Having never visited a care home before, I was amazed by the decor, openess and overall feeling at Frognal House. my initial visit began with a chat about my sister's needs and our expectations with the lovely client liaison manager, who then took my niece and myself on a tour of the care home, showing us the residential rooms, dining room and lounges and all the facilities available. We were most impressed and decided this was the best place to move my sister. She is now living at Frognal House. The staff are so kind and my sister has settled and is happy which is the most important thing.

This is a lovely home, it has the most impressive grounds of a care home I've seen. There is a real sense of community - as you walk in the living area is buzzing with energy (there's even a grand piano!).

Absolutely amazing place, the staff are amazing, the facilities are great, everything about this place is amazing. Thanks to Heather for everything. So grateful for everything.

We would highly recommend this care home and relatives of other residents have also assured us how lovely and happy their family member is living.

Dad was admitted in May, his room is excellent, and he will be very comfortable. Staff are amazing. Excellent value for money, would highly recommend.

My mother started in respire fr 4 weeks after breaking her wrist. She felt so safe and looked after, she decided to stay! At 92, she is experiencing new life skills such as balloon volleyball, which she loves. She has spent time meeting new friends and seems very happy and settled.

Well, what a difference this has made. She is now so happy, joins in with everything, there are lots of things to join in with and settled. Frognal, thank you for all the care you give her.

My dad recently spent two weeks at Frognal House for respite care. He enjoyed his stay, he found the home warm and comfortable, food was very good and the staff great.Thank you.

This is the first time my husband has had respite care. I must say I was and am really pleased with the way he is being looked after. As we are self-funding, I will definitely be in contact with Frognal House again. All the staff are very friendly to residents and visitors. I don't think I could do a better job myself.

On my initial show round I was pleasantly surprised, however when I went in for several weeks respite care a few days later the reality turned out to be totally different. I was not informed at the outset that major refurbishment works would be taking place and the upheaval this would have on residents and staff alike and this continued for the entire length of my stay. Carers and house keeping staff were excellent. Fine Dining as advertised in the brochure it definitely was not. For what I paid I felt I should have been offered a refund. Very disappointing and definitely would not recommend.

The welcome on first admission was such a happy one, and my wife was thrilled to bits. I know we have made a good choice.

A wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of Frognal House and its beautiful grounds. The staff were informative, enthusiastic and friendly, as always. The character dress was a lovely touch. I feel lucky that my mum resides in such a beautiful and historic local property. Thank you for all your hard work putting together such a memorable day.

Mummy has been so well treated and all the team in Reminiscente are remarkable humans. We feel like part of a family. Mummy's cousin visited from Miami Florida yesterday and he was so impressed. Its the level of care. I know Mummy is in safe hands which means so many to us all. Thank you from our hearts. Mummy is shown such support, kindness bordering on love.

I just wanted to comment on how wonderful the events are each day. The activities provided throughout the day are great and so varied. The residents are very lucky to have such stimulation. They are encouraged to participate, which is hugely important for their well-being.

Mothers Day afternoon tea was excellent. The entertainment team went above and beyond. The music entertainer was first class. Thank you to all for making mothers day special.

My 80 year old mum has been a permanent resident for 2 months moving from her own home into the assisted living part of Frognal. All the staff were exceptional with the move, providing advice and being patient as the move took some time to persuade my Mum. Facilities are excellent - gardens are stunning, café/bar in the communal area means a drink and snack are always available to residents and visitors. Additional lounge/kitchen spaces on other floors are beautifully decorated and great spaces to get away for some privacy if needed. Bedrooms are very clean and modern. Mum enjoys the daily activities, entertainment and trips in minibus and has made some good friends already in other residents and staff. She very much enjoys the food and says all the staff are very kind and good fun. Staff have provided further information re Mum's care and needs in detail when asked and if there is anything that I need to be made aware of, an email or call has been received from one of the team.

My father began his Frognal experience as a respite guest in November 2024 (due to a back problem) but following a fall & subsequent traumatic hospital stay it was agreed that Frognal would be an ideal home for him to be safe & well cared for. We are extremely pleased & grateful to all the Carers & Staff at Frognal for making my father feel 'at home'. Thank you

My mum is extremely happy at Frognal House - I ask her every time I visit and she always says she really likes it. Initially she didn't want to join in the activities this has completely changed and she is joining in with lots of things now. All of the staff are very caring and kind and mum is well looked after.
