On my initial show round I was pleasantly surprised, however when I went in for several weeks respite care a few days later the reality turned out to be totally different. I was not informed at the outset that major refurbishment works would be taking place and the upheaval this would have on residents and staff alike and this continued for the entire length of my stay. Carers and house keeping staff were excellent. Fine Dining as advertised in the brochure it definitely was not. For what I paid I felt I should have been offered a refund. Very disappointing and definitely would not recommend.
We are pleased to hear that you found our care, housekeeping, and staff to be excellent, and we appreciate you recognising these aspects...
The welcome on first admission was such a happy one, and my wife was thrilled to bits. I know we have made a good choice.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that from your very first enquiry, you and your wife felt welcomed and supported - that means so much to our team. It's fantastic to know your wife is happy and settling in well,...

A wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of Frognal House and its beautiful grounds. The staff were informative, enthusiastic and friendly, as always. The character dress was a lovely touch. I feel lucky that my mum resides in such a beautiful and historic local property. Thank you for all your hard work putting together such a memorable day.

Mummy has been so well treated and all the team in Reminiscente are remarkable humans. We feel like part of a family. Mummy's cousin visited from Miami Florida yesterday and he was so impressed. Its the level of care. I know Mummy is in safe hands which means so many to us all. Thank you from our hearts. Mummy is shown such support, kindness bordering on love.

My 80 year old mum has been a permanent resident for 2 months moving from her own home into the assisted living part of Frognal. All the staff were exceptional with the move, providing advice and being patient as the move took some time to persuade my Mum. Facilities are excellent - gardens are stunning, café/bar in the communal area means a drink and snack are always available to residents and visitors. Additional lounge/kitchen spaces on other floors are beautifully decorated and great spaces to get away for some privacy if needed. Bedrooms are very clean and modern. Mum enjoys the daily activities, entertainment and trips in minibus and has made some good friends already in other residents and staff. She very much enjoys the food and says all the staff are very kind and good fun. Staff have provided further information re Mum's care and needs in detail when asked and if there is anything that I need to be made aware of, an email or call has been received from one of the team.
Thank you so much for sharing your positive feedback. Our team strives to make every resident feel comfortable and supported, especially during such significant transitions. We take pride in our facilities, including the stunning gardens, cafe/bar, and beautifully decorated lounge/kitchen spaces,...
My father began his Frognal experience as a respite guest in November 2024 (due to a back problem) but following a fall & subsequent traumatic hospital stay it was agreed that Frognal would be an ideal home for him to be safe & well cared for. We are extremely pleased & grateful to all the Carers & Staff at Frognal for making my father feel 'at home'. Thank you

My mum is extremely happy at Frognal House - I ask her every time I visit and she always says she really likes it. Initially she didn't want to join in the activities this has completely changed and she is joining in with lots of things now. All of the staff are very caring and kind and mum is well looked after.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon at the summer fete, we were warmly welcomed by a very happy team even though my mother wasn't well enough that day to attend. I am so looking forward to the next event because I know mum would have enjoyed the band and the party atmosphere. Well done to everyone who worked hard!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write down your kind words and leaving us such a lovely review. We are pleased that you enjoyed our summer BBQ event at Frognal, we are looking forward to welcoming you to the next one. Your feedback is truly invaluable to us, I will be sure to pass your kind comments on to the rest of the team. Kind regards.
My mum has been a resident at Frognal for 2 years now and has received a very good level of care throughout. I attended the summer BBQ this month which was very enjoyable with plenty of food and drink and some pleasant entertainment. My mum really enjoyed the day. It was great to see everyone having fun in the sun, the event was a big success and very inclusive. This care home was recommended to me by a colleague and I have also recommended it to friends of mine as I feel it provides a sense of home and belonging for my mum and I'm happy with the overall service available which is good value for money when compared to other options.

Avery staff always make a lot of effort to make their events enjoyable. Mum and I (and my sister) enjoyed the music, food, etc. The weather was lovely but it would be great if the canopy could be replaced as the direct sun was quite hot.

Our team works hard to ensure every resident has a memorable experience and we take a lot of pride in the services we provide at Frognal House. Despite my reservations about being in a residential home environment, I enjoyed the experience. Although not able to have much conversation with other residents I enjoyed the company and conversation of the many members of staff who were always willing to have a chat. I didn't participate in the activities except a bit of flower arranging and I enjoyed the piano player. It's a disappointment that the trips out whilst I was there to the Lavender Fields did not happen. Also, it's a shame the new facilities upstairs in the new lounge, verandah and tea-making facilities were not available when guests visited.
Thank you so much for your review of Frognal House, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your experience whilst you stayed with us. We at Frognal appreciate all feedback and for the opportunity to take all of your notes on board to improve our services that we provide. We sincerely apologise...
My mother has had two admissions for holiday cover, before becoming a resident. This really helped the transition. The staff are all lovely, attentive, caring and always supportive. My mother loves the food and the environment is not that of an institution but of a home. The staff provide daily entertainment which is varied and appropriate.

Had a fantastic Easter Extravaganza day at Frognal House Care Home. Raffle, excellent singer and hot cross buns were all part of the day. Not seen my aunt dance for a long time, but we couldn’t stop her. She and our family had a great afternoon, all helped by the warmth of the care staff. Well done Frognal, here’s to the next one.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review of our easter event. Here at Frognal we love hosting and running exciting events for our residents, friends and families to enjoy. Meet the Team (4)

Hello, I’m Fiona, I entered the care sector at the age of 15, previously to this role I was a registered nurse and currently have over 30 years working within a care home setting covering residential, dementia care, mental health and nursing care.
I am passionate about all aspects of care being person-centred to ensure that residents live a fulfilling life. My main interests in care are dementia, medication and end-of-life care.
I have been at Frognal since March 2023 and my main ethos along with the other members of the team is for Frognal to be the best that it can be. I’m happy to meet with any family/friends to discuss the care of your loved ones.

Hi, I’m Rebecca, I am the Assisted Living Coordinator – I manage the care team and our residents here in Chestnut House. If you have any queries regarding your loved ones' care, I have an open-door policy, please feel free and come and see me any time.

Hi, my name is Tracy, I have worked in care for the past 30 years, starting at the bottom and working my way through different roles from kitchen, and housekeeping to the care role. I have a passion for Dementia care and started with the team at Frognal House in October 2022 as the Reminiscence Coordinator. I love my job and have gained a wealth of knowledge through the years. I have an open-door policy for all family members and my team members.

Hello everyone, for most of my working life, I have worked in the social care sector, working with variable adults with learning disabilities. In my spare time, I do freelancing for a floral events company.
I took the opportunity to become an activity coordinator, where I found my true vocation later in life. I have an absolute passion for my role. My focus every day is to make the residents happy, activities are such an important part of daily living in our community. I have a great team, and we are all committed to ensuring that every resident makes the most of each day I am always open to suggestions, and if I can do it, I will.
