Situated a brief distance from the town centre, Frognal House Care Home is purpose-built, offering a serene environment for elderly individuals to receive precise levels of care. Couples or companions seeking to continue their care journey together are warmly welcomed.

Upon arrival at the Sidcup care home, you'll discover seven acres of beautifully landscaped wheelchair-friendly gardens, allowing all residents to appreciate the picturesque scenery. Comprising three stunning buildings, the home accommodates 149 resident bedrooms, each equipped with en-suite wet rooms and kitchenettes.

The care home boasts fantastic on-site facilities, including a hair and beauty salon for residents who want a little TLC, bright and spacious lounges which provide a comfortable space to unwind, and a restaurant serving freshly prepared seasonal cuisine during mealtimes.

The team offer various forms of support, catering to different needs. Residential care is available for those requiring extra support with basic day-to-day activities. In contrast, the nursing care service provides a more intensive level of care for individuals with longer-term conditions, delivered by the local district nursing team. Additionally, the home offers respite care.

In almost 3 years I find staff and fellow residents most helpful. I would really describe the place as a family - one looks after the other and are really looked after by all staff, no matter what grade.

The activities are really good, they keep Mum active. The food is excellent. Her room is always clean and tidy and she always seems happy. On the whole, I feel she is well looked after and I feel happy to leave her in their care. The staff are very approachable and friendly.

Mum is normal very happy and contented. She always eats very well. Eating is a social event and I truly think mum enjoys the atmosphere.
Happy music helps create a feel-good factor which reflects on the residents.
Coach outings are another good feature. Their rooms are secure places for them to retire.
Overall pleased we moved mum in.

Dad has been here for nearly 4 years, and after a short period of adjustment has settled well. The staff are extremely good with him, and very attentive.

Sunrise of Frognal House has provided a secure, friendly and professionally run environment for my father during his 1 month's respite stay.
All of the staff are friendly and attentive which was recommended by a friend who had a relative there. All we were told was absolutely correct so we had no reservations
about placing dad there.

Sunrise at Frognal, Sidcup, Kent is a very good care home with an excellent staff. Wonderful accommodation and excellent grounds with a beautiful garden. Day trips on the Sunrise bus, lots of music, dancing and other activities. The food seems of a high standard and varied. Sometimes things go missing
from rooms as other residents take them and can be hard to get back.

Hello, I’m Fiona, I entered the care sector at the age of 15, previously to this role I was a registered nurse and currently have over 30 years working within a care home setting covering residential, dementia care, mental health and nursing care.


I am passionate about all aspects of care being person-centred to ensure that residents live a fulfilling life. My main interests in care are dementia, medication and end-of-life care.


I have been at Frognal since March 2023 and my main ethos along with the other members of the team is for Frognal to be the best that it can be. I’m happy to meet with any family/friends to discuss the care of your loved ones.

I have a passion for Dementia care and started with the team at Frognal House in October 2022 as the Reminiscence Coordinator. I love my job and have gained a wealth of knowledge through the years. Hello everyone, for most of my working life, I have worked in the social care sector, working with variable adults with learning disabilities. In my spare time, I do freelancing for a floral events company.


I took the opportunity to become an activity coordinator, where I found my true vocation later in life. I have an absolute passion for my role. My focus every day is to make the residents happy, activities are such an important part of daily living in our community. I have a great team, and we are all committed to ensuring that every resident makes the most of each day I am always open to suggestions, and if I can do it, I will.
