When visiting mum the staff always pleasant and made you welcome, they were very good when mum was dying to her and us girls.
My mum spent her last 17 months in Wilhelmina House where thought her care was very good and excellent towards the end.
The family thanks you for the considerate and kind care you gave our Mother, especially in her last months when she was too ill to get up, and the attention to her wellbeing in these very difficult times. Many thanks for your consideration of us, her 6 daughters.
Plenty of stimulation provided with different activities daily. Her food needs were provided for despite her difficult needs. The end of life care they gave to my mother with assistance from the hospice was excellent. Well done Wilhelmina House.
My mother was cared for in Wilhelmina for 15 months. I couldn't have asked for a better care home for her. The staff are very kind, caring and professional, and more importantly, they are all long-term employees, so they get to know residents and their needs really thoroughly. The staff managed Mum's many special needs whilst working hard to maintain her independence. The rooms are light and bright, kept very clean, have individual heating controls and opening windows for fresh air. Mum had a room with a lovely view over the beautifully kept gardens where she loved to sit out. There is ample room in the public areas for all residents to sit (unlike other homes I visited), and a great team of helpers provide varied activities and exercise for residents and day visitors. The food is varied and freshly prepared, with attention to individual preferences. I was impressed by how the Covid-19 crisis was handled, with visitor restrictions and PPE evident early on. Absolutely 5 Star - Thank you!
My dad really loves every aspect of it.
The accommodation is so comfortable, the garden delightful and the food excellent.
The staff are always caring and considerate, the cleanliness is remarkably good.
Any little jobs you want doing are dealt with immediately and the whole atmosphere is one of friendliness, peace and contentment.
A care home could not be better.
My husband has been going to the daycare at Wilhelmina House for a year. He enjoys the many activities and celebrations. The staff are so friendly and caring. Would recommend the 1596 Club.
Wonderful in every way.
This is my first experience of residential care and I was very nervous however everyone has been so kind and looked after my every need. I couldn't be happier.
We have been delighted with the care my aunt has received at Wilhelmina House she is very happy. The staff are all very caring, kind and helpful and always available. The food is excellent with plenty of variety. The cleanliness is excellent. There is always some entertainment for the residents and everyone is encouraged to participate. The decoration and furnishings are all very good and in the summer the residents have the benefit of a beautiful garden. Friends and families are encouraged to visit residents and made very welcome.
I loved the design and the decorations.
The rest is excellent. From the staff to the food it gave me the space to receive from an unpleasant hospital visit.
But I must mention the activities - they were superb.
Our family have been delighted with the care my aunt has received at Wilhelmina House. The staff are so friendly and very helpful in all respects. We could not have found a more relaxed and happy home for her to join.
Wilhelmina House provides excellent care for its residents. They are happy. Visitors are welcomed. A huge variety of activities is provided for the stimulation of residents. When I reach the stage of needing a care home, I would hope to come to one like this.
The staff are very efficient and helpful The care, the food, the facilities are all excellent.
They treat the residents with respect and dignity. The facilities are excellent and there is a full and varied programme of social activities which residents can choose to join in on. All in all, it provides a safe and secure environment for residents.
My mother is extremely happy at Wilhelmina House. She enjoys the varied activities and musical entertainment. The staff is very kind and caring. She enjoys the beautiful garden. I know that she is safe and happy, which is a huge relief.
I was very impressed with Wilhelmina House Care Home. We were greeted with kindness and efficiency throughout my husband's stay in respite. The staff and carers were also kind and helpful to us both. I noticed that there were lots of activities and events daily. The food I saw served looked delicious and the residents seemed to be enjoying it. I'm sure your loved ones will be very well cared for here.
Wilhelmina House provides a clean, calm, comfortable and caring home environment for its residents. There's plenty of space and light, good facilities, a lovely garden and well-planned activities. On each of my visits there, I found the staff to be very kind and helpful - and working well as a team. The residents also seemed to be happy and content. The food is good and refreshments are provided between meals. I attended a summer garden party event there which was very well organized and great fun, with live music, a magician and raffle prizes. I would highly recommend this care home.
So impressed, I had no hesitation in looking another respite stay nine months later, following a total knee replacement.
The surroundings are light/open with lovely gardens.
Carers are pleasant/helpful and dedicated. Daily stimulating activities all day if required and bucketloads of TLC!

I have always had a passion for working with older people as I believe I can contribute and make a meaningful difference in their lives.
I started as a Care Assistant and I was supported to progress my career to Home Manager. Wilhelmina House, residents and staff alike are like a family to me.
