Belle Vue has been a real home for my brother since leaving the family home. He has enjoyed a life of activity and interest since moving there and has thrived in a supportive environment. Pre-Covid there were regular activities, parties and birthday outings enjoyed by residents and relatives alike,
and it was a very welcoming and happy home to visit. Since Covid, the staff have kept everyone safe and helped us maintain lots of contact through regular FaceTime calls and visits within the Covid rules. Being a small home, care is personalised and I feel my brother's needs and preferences are known and accommodated as far as possible. The home is very well run and well kept, and the staff are genuinely caring.

Belle Vue management provide a continuous and positive approach to personal care plans that has proved essential during a period of isolation. Their tenacious and professional approach to health care issues give confidence that the best care possible is being delivered not only by themselves but all
contributing 3rd parties. Belle Vue is a very safe and secure environment where the friendly staff are approachable to residents and their families, nothing is too much trouble for them. I feel lucky my Brother has a home there.

I genuinely think the staff at Belle Vue are absolutely marvellous and have really stepped up to the mark through difficulties and challenges presented by the pandemic and lockdown's since last March 2020. The consistency of approach and their really good long-term staff retention at Belle Vue are key
to achieving the overall quality of care. The stability this affords the service users is crucial. Personally, I find the team approachable and frank which is helpful and refreshing. I feel free to express any concerns I may have regarding my relative who has lived at Belle Vue his whole adult life. Clearly these have been testing times for pretty much everyone and I’m sure I won’t be the only relative to say it is a comfort to us to know the hard work they put in to care for our relatives. As I have often told members of staff at Belle Vue directly, I think they all do a great job at the best of times and feel many have gone above and beyond to keep a calm and happy ship.

A “CARING” HOME This professionally run home provides residents with a safe and secure place to live in. The staff are very approachable and they really enjoy looking after the residents and ensure that they live life to the fullest extent. Community links are strong and many social events take place.
Group activities are frequent, well planned and enjoyed by all involved but individual needs are respected and catered for. A “HAPPY HOME”

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
Care Quality Commission is responsible for the registration and inspection of social care services in England.
