The care of my mother has been good and they always treat her respectfully with dignity and thoughtfulness.
When we've been in her room with her and we have heard the interaction between the staff and other residents it has always been Respectful, thoughtful and caring even in difficult situations when the resident has not been co-operative.
The staff know my mother well and give the impression they like her and she responds likewise, lots of smiles.
They are aware of her physical & mental health needs and treat them appropriately.

She took about 3 months to settle in and no longer asks when she is going home (had to be sold anyway). She has improved in herself, with the interaction and the activities that they provide.
No matter what time you visit, I have never ever heard any member of staff raise their voice once! They all seem to have the patience of a saint and are so kind and caring.
Meals are varied and nicely served.
Absolutely delighted we chose Pinehurst and they had a room. We are all less stressed and worried about her, now that she is so safe and happy there.

In summary, I would like to say how pleased the family is that Mum is somewhere where we know she is safe and being well looked after. We know from experience that the staff will keep us informed (by telephone if they consider it urgent) of any issues relating to Mum's care. We are always made welcome whenever we visit the home to see Mum and we do not usually say when we are coming and things are always clean and well maintained. We would certainly recommend Pinehurst at Crowthorne to anyone who was considering a care home for a relative or friend.

She had sustained a fall and had been in hospital. I have received very positive reports on Pinehurst from families who had their loved ones there - I decided as my aunties niece, to find out more.

We have always found the home to be warm and welcoming. The staff are engaged and friendly. Our stepmother has been at Pinehurst since 2007 and been well cared for during that time.

Every member of the Pinehust team is Caring and dedicated and could not have done more to support my Dad who has multiple needs now. He has been treated with kindness and respect and whilst it is not 'Home', every member of the team does their best to make it as close to it as is possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Pinehurst on every level and can only offer huge thanks to every member of the team.

My husband has dementia and unfortunately I was taken ill and had to go to stay for a few days in hospital. Pinehurst fortunately had a vacant room. My husband stayed in this wonderful home last year for one week. This last visit was again excellent, my husband was so well looked after. When I collected him today, there was no sign of any distress, my husband was very calm, reading a newspaper and enjoying a cup of tea. Well done Pinehurst, the staff are wonderful,k extremely kind and very professional.

We are so happy Mum is in Pinehurst. The staff are wonderful, amazingly patient, kind, and calm. And it is clear they really enjoy caring for their residents. The management are friendly, open and approachable. There is a lot of happy laughter from staff, and giggles from residents. The buildings are beautifully decorated inside, bright, smart, up to date, but still homelike. There are always teddy bears to cuddle, kept on the mantelpiece.
Pinehurst is an amalgam of several buildings, so it does not feel or look institutional. There are gardens and decks at the back where the residents are encouraged to help care for plants and bird feeders. And there are lots of daily events like parties, pet visits, crafts, exercises and birthdays, that the residents partake in, as well as outings to local sites or short walks in Crowthorne.
As visiting family everything was open to us. And whenever we popped in at tea time we were happily included by the staff, and plied with teas and cakes, along with the residents. You can even stay and have a meal at mealtime if you wish. The residents in the full care building, where my mother in law is, are kept spotlessly clean and neat and in bright cheery clothing, Great effort is spent on keeping them well groomed. We once popped in on the weekly hairdressing - perms etc., to find the residents and staff happily gathered round the hairdressers' clients, all having a fun time. What more can I say - its great, and Mum is happy.

As the Home Manager of Pinehurst Care Centre, I have over 30 years’ management experience within Adult Social Care, both with the public and private sector. I am proud to be leading a team of highly engaged, passionate people who, like me, want the people we support to live their best lives in their later years. My passion is dementia care, having cared for my own mother who was living with dementia, providing truly person-centred care, and fostering positive relationships with the people I support and work with.
