The quality of care at Pinehurst is excellent. The staff go above and beyond to provide a safe, caring, fun environment despite the covid restrictions. My aunt is enjoying life and is healthy and stimulated and healthy. She is with people who really know and care for her, and she takes part in every activity so keeps very busy.

My mum is very happy at Pinehurst, and although she is not very sociable, she does occasionally participate in activities. Since lockdown, it has been very hard on everyone, I have had some wonderful WhatsApp video calls as well as window visits more recently. Staff are very friendly and spend lots of time with the residents.

During the time Mum has been at Pinehurst she has taken on a new lease of life and become more active and outgoing. This has to be due to the care, kindness and social activities arranged by the manager and all her staff. Nothing has been too much trouble and all the residents are treated like family.

During lockdown, they are still enjoying a range of activities which have been shared on their Facebook page for families to see, and video calls have also been arranged so that we can talk to Mum. Thank you to all the staff for all you do for your residents.

"Lockdown" has tested care home to the limit. In my experience, Pinehurst has gone the extra mile in safeguarding and protecting the residents from Covid-19. Whilst I haven't been allowed to visit my mother in person, Pinehurst have encouraged video calls as well providing daily social media updates/videos of the daily activities inside Pinehurst. As a result, it has been very reassuring. I cannot think what else Pinehurst can do, other than to continue the very high quality and standards under the leadership of the home manager.

Both parents were initially in another care home for respite after my dad became ill. Sadly he passed away and the other home did not suit our Mum. Pinehurst had been recommended and we moved Mum at the end of February. I am so glad we did! She has settled and is happy, busy with activities and exercises; it is clear she is well cared for.

My mother has been a resident for approximately 3 years when she fell ill and it was clear it would be a life-limiting condition. Pinehurst agreed to have her back from hospital and look after her until the end as , I quote, she was family. They looked after her wonderfully well with great compassion which made her last few days comfortable and peaceful. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they gave her.

I spent a month at Pinehurst Care Centre for respite care. I was well looked after and everybody was very helpful and friendly. The day and night staff were very caring and nothing was too much trouble. They made sure I had the right medication at the right times. There were activities every day and I could take part if I wished. My room was small but comfortable and I could have all my music CDs and DVDs in my room. The food was good and varied. I will be happy to come again when my wife needs a break.

In the 6 years that my mother-in-law has been a resident of Pinehurst Care Centre, she has always been treated with dignity and respect. In recent years her dementia has deteriorated but this has not changed the standard of care provided by the staff at Pinehurst, even though her condition is much more challenging. Our visits have always been unannounced so as to provide us with a true insight on life in the home. I am particularly impressed with the quality of the activities and entertainment provided for the residents, and the standard of decor/cleanliness in Pinehurst. My mother-in-law is 95.

We are very happy with the care that mum is receiving. We had a difficult year and it became clear in the summer that we could no longer care for mum at home. The staff at Pinehurst are outstanding and mum is clearly happy, settled and well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend Pinehurst to anyone with a loved one who is suffering from dementia.

I call in frequently and have found the staff consistently warm, friendly and welcoming. All residents are treated with care, encouraged to take part in activities and generally try to create as normal a home/family situation as possible.

My wife has Alzheimer's and has been at Pinehurst since late last year. Her limited mobility became very difficult for me to care for her at home. She had stayed at Pinehurst for a respite break previously and I was relieved to know that she would receive excellent care as a resident.

Pinehurst is a very well run home with excellent management and very caring lovely staff.

My aunt came to the care home after the death of her husband which was a very difficult time for her. It took a little time for her to settle in, but now she is quite content due to her friendly careers.

The care home is efficiently managed, the staff are very kind and there is a low staff turnover. The care has been described by a care provider as ”we do our best”, my family all think this is true and is a fair and largely satisfactory summary.

My brother moved into Pinehurst Crowthorne in September from Hospital having suffered two major strokes. Finding a care home was very stressful, but my contact with the home has been excellent from initial discussion with the centre manager, his welcome into the home and with all of my communication and visits since. The home has a real 'family feel' about it and every member of staff I have met show care with and compassion and with good humour to my brother and always have the time to talk to me and other visitors. I have been particularly impressed with how they have encouraged his ongoing rehabilitation with activities, therapy and encouragement. I particularly like the 'closed user' Facebook which allows me, friends and family, to see how well he is doing. I have seen a huge change in him since he arrived and they continue to find new ways to maintain his progress. I am confident that he will continue to make progress and am very grateful for everything they are doing.

When I've called to see my mother the staff have always been friendly and helpful, they always make us feel very welcome and respected.
The care of my mother has been good and they always treat her respectfully with dignity and thoughtfulness.
When we've been in her room with her and we have heard the interaction between the staff and other residents it has always been Respectful, thoughtful and caring even in difficult situations when the resident has not been co-operative.
The staff know my mother well and give the impression they like her and she responds likewise, lots of smiles.

They are aware of her physical & mental health needs and treat them appropriately.

Moving Mum into a care home was such a difficult decision, but we are delighted that we chose Pinehurst.

Mum had had a number of falls and since being at Pinehurst hasn't fallen once.

She took about 3 months to settle in and no longer asks when she is going home (had to be sold anyway). She has improved in herself, with the interaction and the activities that they provide.

No matter what time you visit, I have never ever heard any member of staff raise their voice once! They all seem to have the patience of a saint and are so kind and caring.

Meals are varied and nicely served.

Absolutely delighted we chose Pinehurst and they had a room. We are all less stressed and worried about her, now that she is so safe and happy there.

In summary, I would like to say how pleased the family is that Mum is somewhere where we know she is safe and being well looked after. We know from experience that the staff will keep us informed (by telephone if they consider it urgent) of any issues relating to Mum's care. We are always made welcome whenever we visit the home to see Mum and we do not usually say when we are coming and things are always clean and well maintained. We would certainly recommend Pinehurst at Crowthorne to anyone who was considering a care home for a relative or friend.

My auntie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia four years ago. Since then she has lived with care and support at her home in Surrey. It became clear that she needed 24 hour care. She had sustained a fall and had been in hospital. I have received very positive reports on Pinehurst from families who had their loved ones there - I decided as my aunties niece, to find out more.
