My mother has been cared for at Pinehurst for 3 years, she has Alzheimer’s. The staff are good and care for the residents with dignity and respect. The home is always clean and welcoming to visitors. The residents are provided with a wide range of activities and families are kept informed of these via Facebook and social media. I would recommend this home for your loved ones.

My mum has been in Pinehurst Care Centre for approximately 10 years and she has been so well cared for. Firstly in the residential side and laterly in Pine House the dementia wing and except for the last two years due to the pandemic, we have always been welcomed and found the staff to be professional, caring and friendly. My mum is now receiving palliative care so I am now able to visit daily. The manager and caregivers have gone above and beyond in treating my mum with dignity and to feel safe and comfortable. I can fully recommend Pinehurst Care Centre as a first-class care home with confidence.

A lovely care home. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Residents are well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The manager is happy to talk to family if we have any worries or concerns. Families are welcome to visit at any time and are kept informed of residents' well-being. Fabulous care home, I can't fault it and would recommend it to anyone.

For both residents and their families, moving into a care home is quite a significant event. Both I and my father have been supported brilliantly throughout the process. Now that he is in residence, my dad has settled very quickly - the staff are all so kind and patient - it could not possibly have been a better experience.

Excellent attitude from all staff I have dealt with, phone calls and emails answered promptly. Very helpful in dealing with visits to my mother who is hard of hearing and doesn't see too well. When not contacting directly, their webpage keeps me up to date with activities.

I have been here three months and I am getting used to my surroundings. I am very happy with the staff, all are very helpful. The food is variable. As I am getting older, I felt I couldn't look after myself but this is the best thing for me.

I have been visiting weekly for about eight years. Extremely friendly staff and management, nothing is too much trouble. When changes needed to be made the utmost care was taken to granny what was happening and why. Visiting is easily arranged and staff happy to help, not to mention keeping in touch via video calls, and photos and videos on Facebook. The care and compassion from all staff is amazing, with a wide range of activities. I simply can't recommend Pinehurst enough and you efforts are very much appreciated by all the family!

During the past weeks, we have faced the sad and difficult time of my Dad's end of life. All the staff gave their continual care, respect and love throughout, showing genuine emotion and sadness. They gave us the support we needed to be able to spend time with him and say goodbye. Pinehurst became another family to my Dad, especially in this last year with visiting restrictions due to Covid. Knowing he was well cared for, entertained and happy, made the situation easier to cope with. I cannot praise or thank Pinehurst enough for all they did for my Dad in his last 3.5 years.

Our Dad has very recently died after three and a half years as a resident of Pinehurst Care Centre. We have always appreciated the high level of care that Dad received and how his contentment was such that he saw staff as his new family when Alzheimer's took its toll on his memory.
It has been a moving experience to watch how all the staff involved cared for him in his last days and very comforting to know that he was in such devoted hands.
Of course, this year has been difficult for everyone as we all negotiated our way through this pandemic disease but I cannot think of any stone that management or staff left unturned to keep residents safe and families in touch with their loved ones.

I am deeply thankful for the wonderful care and fun that was brought to Dad and for the staff's commitment to always go the extra mile.

Well done management and staff at Pinehurst for a great job keeping everyone safe and well throughout these difficult times, and for keeping us in touch via phone, video, window and door visits, not to mention the regular photos and videos on Facebook. Your efforts are much appreciated, especially as you have families of your own. Mum's doing well at 106, and you've looked after her for a long time!

My mother has been at Pinehurst for 3 years, after being diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s. I was initially concerned about how she might deteriorate after leaving the familiar routines of her own home, but instead, she enjoys the stimulation and company of her new environment. Besides its location, we chose Pinehurst because the intimate size of the facility makes for a more homely feel. We were also impressed by the professional and friendly manner of the Centre Manager and her team. Her direct involvement with both residents and families alike helps create a caring and inclusive atmosphere. All the staff make my mother feel part of the Pinehurst family and she never fails to tell us how happy she is. During this year of Covid a safe environment has been maintained which is very reassuring. As my family and I live in Australia, we appreciate being able to call her any day of the week. It is never too much trouble and we have also had some great video calls. Thank you Pinehurst!

My father was a resident at Pinehurst Care Centre for 9 years. The standard of care that he received throughout his time at Pinehurst was excellent. All the staff at Pinehurst built a strong relationship with him and treated him with genuine affection. The activities staff work tirelessly to keep the residents engaged and entertained which has been no mean feat since the onset of the covid pandemic. Pinehurst's management of the pandemic in keeping their staff and residents safe has been exemplary with no cases at all. This is not down to luck, it is due to the management making hard decisions and making them early. While Pinehurst is not blessed with the facilities of a newer building, they easily make up for this with the standard of the care they provide and the professionalism and compassion with which it is delivered. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

From our first visit to see if the care home would be suitable for our mother, we were met with friendliness, concern and kindness. It was the right decision to place our mother here. The kindness and excellent care has continued. Communication between the Home and our family has been exceptional. During the lockdown period, the staff have gone beyond their care of duty to keep us in touch with our Mum and that has been a huge relief to us. Mum is happy and well, thank you all.

My mother had a nasty fall, which resulted in her having a hip replacement. She struggled very much after this, which ultimately resulted in her death. The staff were absolutely wonderful, dedicated, caring and could not have done more for her, especially as covid-19 made it difficult for us, as we were not able to go into see her.
