St Lukes is a purpose built home that has been tastefully furnished and equipped to a very high standard to provide accommodation in three neighbourhoods. Daffodil and Lilac areas are designed over one level and Oaks provides accommodation on two levels. Residents have a choice of lounge and dining areas throughout the home. There is a hair salon, activities room with computer and assisted bath and shower rooms have also been incorporated. There is easy access for residents to the landscaped gardens and walkways as well as shady, private courtyards.
Life at St Lukes is very much home from home and an active lifestyle is encouraged, with friends and relatives always welcome. The activities organiser arranges a varied social calendar of activities and entertainment in groups and on a one to one basis. St Lukes ensures that residents receive meaningful occupation tailored to who they are. The home has transport available for trips into the community and there is a weekly activities programme with monthly entertainment.

St Luke's has been awesome for Mum since she moved there last year. There are loads of activities going on all the time to keep her occupied and she's really started to settle in well. The staff are very caring and quick to get in touch if there is an issue.

Our mother has been at St Lukes within The Oaks Care Home facility since July 2022 and since day one, the care she has received has been exemplary. Mum has advanced dementia and moved from another care home where she had been for a number of years and we were worried about how she would adapt to new surroundings and specifically with new carers. The move went well from day one and with the help of the carers and all staff, she settled in very quickly with no issues. Since that day we have had no concerns on the level of care she receives and is always clean and well-presented when we visit. This can only be down to the standards applied within the care home and the staff employed. There are regular reviews of the care plan in place for Mum and we are also able to raise any concerns/questions if necessary at any time.

Mum has been at St Luke's for almost 2 years now and has made lots of friends. She joins in with the activities and is enjoying the Care Home. The Care home keeps us informed of Mum's well-being and always contacts us if there is anything wrong. The care they give her is excellent and we have complete trust in the Staff. Mum enjoys the food and its variation. The care home is kept clean and tidy and the staff is always friendly. They are always willing to help if needed. We are happy with the overhaul care.

This will also help our current Engagement Lead. It's a big home for only one person, so I'm hoping you will see some changes now.

My father has been a resident of St Lukes for 2 years now and has not been so happy for a very long time. He is extremely well cared for and has settled in well. The accommodation is lovely and the staff are second to none. There always seems to be a lot going on with activities and plenty to occupy the time. When we visit we are always made very welcome and feel part of the family, nothing is too much trouble. We love it there and hope to book in soon! Thank you St Lukes, you are wonderful!

We moved my stepmum into St Lukes and The Oaks in early July. She was extremely resistant to go into a care home. With that said, she has thrived at St Lukes. The activity programme is getting better but there are still days when no activities appear to be offered.
Thank you for your comments. The Activity Lead doesn't work every day and we are currently recruiting for another Activity Organiser to enable us to increase the activities offered. Please feel free to speak to staff during your visits, who will let you know how Mum is getting on.
