Lovely care home, with lovely staff, a lovely area, it’s fantastic that they hold events for the residents which keeps them entertained. Residents always look happy and clean, the food always smells lovely, such a nice atmosphere, really feels like home.

My mum was admitted in June after a fall and dementia. She entered not being able to communicate and told she'd never walk again. Roll forward to August, my mum has improved beyond my expectations. She's now able to communicate with small words and walks with aid - solely down the encouragement of the
staff. She a new lease of life.


My dad joined her 3 months later with complicated and serious health conditions. When I go and visit I'm amazed how happy, content and comfortable they are. I am an only child and it could have been a very lonely experience but, the Boulters Lock Residential Home team have been an extension of my family.


No one really wants any relative to have to go into care but, for those that are looking for the first time, don't be scared. Boulter's Lock is a home, the staff really do care and they are here to support you and your relative.


As my parents enter this emotional time, they do it together under the roof of family and friends and I'm ever so grateful for that.

Mum has been a resident since August. She has settled in well and has commented that the staff are friendly and the food is very good. A few teething issues with missing clothes, but these appear to have been resolved.

My Mother has been here since November 2021, initially for a trial period of 8-weeks. After the trial, she became a permanent resident. My mother has a room on the ground floor with a view of the garden. There are plenty of activities for the residents to get involved in which are usually held in the
lounge. The meals are very good and there are copious amounts of tea and biscuits. The carers have organised visits to the dentist, visits from an optician, chiropodist, hairdresser and district nurse. All this has been done in a friendly helpful manner. All the staff are friendly and efficient. I can’t praise them enough.

I can't thank the team enough for their kindness, care and compassion for my dad. They have welcomed dad and helped him adjust to living somewhere new due to his Alzheimer's and his partner having a complex condition. As well as making sure he feels at home and letting him do some gardening to give
him a focus for each day, they have ensured that my sister and I have been updated and kept us posted which is really helpful as I live 200-miles away. The care is great but for dad, it's the puddings that win. Thank you all.

My father has Alzheimer's and due to his partner's illness as well, it became urgent to find a care home. The staff at Boulters Lock, are unbelievably caring, friendly and compassionate. A few years ago I worked at Boulters Lock Residential Home and I’m now back doing work in their gardens. During my visits, it was really lovely to see how friendly the team was. My mother has had a very happy five years at Boulters Lock where she received outstanding care and had lots of fun and great food. She died a peaceful death at 94-years with me by her bedside in her bedroom. The end-of-life care at Boulters Lock gave my mum was truly exceptional - compassionate, gentle,

My mum has been a resident of Boulters Lock Care Home since March last year. She was in a poor state of mind when she first arrived having spent several weeks in hospital but this has been completely turned around and she couldn't be happier. There is always such a happy atmosphere and my mum is safe
and very well cared for. She keeps telling me how happy she is and that it's like living in a luxury hotel. The manager and her staff have been absolutely brilliant in every way and I couldn't recommend the home more.

I have been visiting Boulters Lock Care Home for over two years and they look after the residents so well, they have excellent meals, entertainment and they spend a lot of time thinking of how to improve the individual needs of the people they care for. I am so happy that we chose Boulters Lock for

Boulter's Lock Care Home has been caring for my mother for around 5-years now. She is happy, safe and well cared for there. It has clearly been a very difficult year because of the Pandemic, but the staff and management at Boulters deserve praise for their proactive management of the situation and

When looking for a care home for my mum, we heard about Boulters Lock care home through a friend of my daughters. From the moment we got in touch, it felt right. The manager went above and beyond to make the whole experience of putting my mum into a care home not so difficult. The place itself has such
a homely feel about it. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for my mum, as in hindsight, she wasn’t quite ready for residential care and is now living in a retirement complex. When the time comes for her to need full-time care, I wouldn’t hesitate in taking her back to Boulters Lock.

Hi,


I'm Ashleigh and I started my care journey at Boulters Lock in 2009, working as a kitchen assistant.


My career progressed into the role of care assistant, then on to senior care assistant - during which time I completed my NVQ 3. In December 2022 I was promoted to the position as Deputy Manager, and worked towards completing my NVQ 5.


Since becoming Home Manager I have been working alongside the team to achieve new goals and improve the service we provide to our residents.


I aim to ensure residents have a smile on their faces and are kept safe.
