White Lodge

After a protracted period in and out of hospital and dealing with social services we placed dad in White Lodge. The process was quick and simple and dad has been very comfortable and incredibly well looked after since moving in. The staff are wonderful, caring and friendly and dad is happy with his room, the food and his care.

My mother-in-law receives the most wonderful care from the amazing team at White Lodge. Although her physical health is good, she has dementia, which has worsened considerably in the period she has been under their guardianship. Throughout some very challenging times, she has been treated with the utmost care, attention and affection by every member of the wonderful staff. White Lodge is a really peaceful and positive home for her - and we can rest at least slightly easier in the knowledge of how well she is looked after. We would recommend White Lodge without hesitation - it is something of a hidden gem and a true haven.

My husband has been in your care for over 3 years. His immobility is really compilcated for your staff who are always smiling and cheerful. He is not an easy person to manage and hates his lack of control! They do a grand job and always willing to help in whatever way they can. We are very grateful.

My father received fantastic care from all the staff, for more than four years. White Lodge is a lovely and restful place to be. The staff couldn't have been more attentive, caring and professional. Dad had increasing dementia, especially latterly and, again the staff were so good. The last few years of Dad's life were made so much better and our family took great comfort in knowing he was in such good and professional hands. Thank you all, once again.

The staff have been extremely helpful and kind and have looked after my mother extremely well. She has been there since Jan 25 - March 25. The staff have been very thorough in looking after my mum as she does not remember all the time and doesn't eat much anymore but they have been great with her.

White Lodge is the best place for our Mum being small & intimate; she would be completely overwhelmed by anything bigger. She loves to watch the changing seasons in the garden, sit in the sunshine & just be.

My mum has been in White Lodge for nearly 2 years now. Recently she wasn't well and needed to go to hospital for some investigations. On her return her care has been kind and patient and she is now back up on her feet. I can't compliment the team enough. I drop in unannounced a few times a week and I have witnessed at first-hand how both the residents and visiting families are treated with kindness and respect and lots of cups of tea. My mum, who can be a tricky customer, says they are wonderful. We can't quite believe how lucky we were to chance upon this place. I have never seen an agency nurse. It's like a family, a home from home. Highly recommended.

It is like home from home, very friendly and the residents have their own en suite rooms the garden is beautiful, highly recommend it.

My father spent the final two years of his life at White Lodge. The care which he received was exemplary. The staff were, without exception, caring, compassionate and very professional. We never had any concerns for his well-being. We would recommend White Lodge without reservation.

My sister was a resident at White Lodge Care Home from the end of November 2022 until the end of December 2023. On coming out of hospital my sister needed ongoing care which unfortunately I was unable to supply. I had visited several Care Homes before choosing White Lodge. The staff and management team are very warm and welcoming. They have provided an excellent standard of care and support, empathy and understanding for my sister even when she was in an uncooperative mood (due to her dementia). My sister loved singing and joining in with the various activities at White Lodge encouraged by the lovely staff members. It was a great relief to find such a brilliant care home for my loving sister in her final year of life's journey.

Most of all every time I visit my mother says how wonderful, kind and respectful the staff are to her. She loves them. It gives us all the sense of peace and safety we were hoping for. White Lodge is a blessing!

Such a difficult decision to take when considering residential care for loved ones- I can only say that I sleep well at night now knowing that my mother is cared for by safe and gentle hands.

The home has a beautiful garden which he enjoys, either for exercise or just enjoying good weather. He is gently encouraged to join in with activities. The rooms, including his bedroom, are a good size and are cosy and well-furnished. We are really pleased to have found a home where he is well looked after, happy and safe.

A lovely, friendly and caring home where we feel our father is being well cared for. Always made to feel very welcome and the staff are constant and always smiling. Very happy to know that he is in a very homely environment.

My wife has been a resident for ten months and settled in quickly due to the warm, friendly and homely atmosphere. The management and staff work effectively as a team and show great patience and care in meeting the needs of the residents.

I do not worry about Mum as I know she is in very safe hands and if there is ever a problem the communication is brilliant. Would not hesitate in recommending to anyone needing this facility.
