Lovat House

Lovat House is a wonderful, friendly and caring home. My mum has had the very best of care and the staff go above and beyond to make it feel like home for her. Mum had been really ill recently and without the excellent care of all the staff, she wouldn’t be here now. The family and I are extremely grateful to all the staff for their care and commitment in looking after our Mum.

The care my mother is having is wonderful. They are the most caring people. We have said goodbye to Mother four times, and it's so lovely to see how she bounces back. If it wasn't for the care she is having, I know we wouldn't have her now.

My Nan at 92-years-old needed a care home, we looked at several different facilities and from the minute we walked in the door of Lovat House we knew that we had found her new home. That was 7 years ago. She has thrived since then! The atmosphere when you walk in is friendly and calming, family and friends are always welcome, the staff are amazing, they are extremely professional and caring, they treat my Nan like she is their own mother. Nothing is too much bother (and she can be a little stubborn at times). She has her own private room that is beautifully decorated, she can take her meals in the dining room or in her room. She has her hair done every 2 weeks and they have fun weekly activities in the main lounge. She is encouraged to remain as active as possible and she will be 99 in February! This is the best care home we could have ever hoped Nan would spend her remaining years, I would recommend to anyone looking for a place that really does treat you or your loved one as family.

During the last year, my mother (aged 101) has been very poorly and the care she has received has been excellent. The staff are very kind and caring. Lovat House is very homely but I do think the residents would benefit from a little more mental stimulation.

My father has resided at Lovat House for the past year and is very happy there. The environment is comfortable, homely and extremely friendly, a real home from home. Without exception, the staff are professional and caring both to residents, family and visitors who are always welcomed. It means that my wife and I can lead our lives safe in the knowledge that Dad is being very well cared for and visit whenever we want to. Put simply 'Lovat House' does what it says on the tin.

Lovat House is a home in the sense of the word. My mother has lived there for over 10 years. Many of the staff have worked there longer. Following a serious illness, the hospital recommended she move to a nursing home. However, Lovat House kindly agreed to take her back and with the support of good, caring people, she has exceeded expectations and enjoyed another happy, fulfilling year. I cannot recommend Lovat House highly enough. I have and will continue to recommend it, its owners and staff to all.

Lovat House has a warm and welcoming feel directly after you open its front door. Although not the most modern facility, Lovat House makes you feel at home and handles each resident with the love and care that they need. Lovat House is managed by a very nice and professional lady. I have a nice bedroom with ensuite toilet which is very convenient. I have no negative thoughts at all.

There is a minimal turnover of staff which makes the residents assured of seeing familiar faces each day.

Ten years ago my friend needed residential care and after visiting many homes in the area chose Lovat House. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Lovat House is like a second home, not too large and easy access to all rooms on the ground floor. There is a homely atmosphere and you are made to feel part of a family.

Lovat House is a well maintained and well-managed care home with an extremely friendly atmosphere. The staff are highly professional and exceptional, ensuring all residents are well cared for. Relatives and friends of the residents are always welcomed into the homely environment at Lovat House. Specifically to me, it is comforting to know my mother is in very good hands.
