Overall Experience

Both my parents had to go into temporary respite care at fairly short notice whilst repairs were carried out that their home. Lent Rise House facilities and staff were excellent. Mum and Dad were treated with great respect and kindness for the whole of there stay. The staff were very attentive and also extended that kindness and reassuring support to us a family in what was a very stressful time. Very clean comfortable accommodation with lots of activities and beautiful lounge and gardens for them to enjoy also. Medical support was excellent and we cannot speak highly enough of the staff.

A big belated thank you everyone at Lent Rise whose care and kindness to us all was wonderful we cannot speak highly enough of the facilities care and support they gave us during a very stressful time.

My mother in law was a resident at Lent Rise for 3 years. She was always treated with excellent care and attention for the whole of her time there. Clean and comfortable accommodation, fun activities, good food served in bright and pleasant surroundings. As her health deteriorated the staff amended her care as required, she saw doctors weekly and they managed her end of life care with dignity and love. Thank you to everyone at Lent Rise for their help and support of my family during this difficult time.

I have visited my friend twice recently. I found the place clean, my friend also was looked after well and clean. The staff were helpful and all I met were kind. Only I noticed were no waste paper bin wasn't there in the room and no tray of a jag of water on tray, so I asked a lady who was a managing position. She seen asked a staff to bring a jag of water on a tray. Lastly, my friend didn't have a bib (apron) to eat, but brought second time.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law has been resident at Lent Rise House for over ten months and I feel she is treated with respect, kindness and genuine concern. Some of the care staff are very good and a few are efficient and / or task orientated so overall the care and support is good. The staff appear to try to to give food my relative likes but do not refer to what was written when when she first arrived (e.g. she is regularly given carers which she dislikes) - the rooms are kept very clean but I did have to ask for the mattress to be cleaned which is was immediately. The organisation and effort put into her 100th birthday party was excellent.

I attended a 100th birthday today as a friend of the family, and I wanted to share how impressed I was with the celebration. The effort the staff put into making the day special - not just for the resident but for all the residents - was truly wonderful. The entertainment was excellent. The singer was very talented & I was especially impressed by the quality of his performance & the way he engaged with the residents. It created such a joyful atmosphere. Many Thanks.

Overall Experience

My mother has dementia and was immobile since arriving at the home around 2 years ago. I have always found that the staff take great care of my mother with nursing care and general wellbeing, and if she is poorly I get a call straight away. The staff take note of what the residents' likes or dislikes are regarding food and drink, and hobbies, such as (in my mother's case) the garden and flowers. As time has gone on my mother's dementia has got worse but the staff are well trained and deal with it very well. From the start I have always received a very warm welcome when I visit, and I am amazed that they all know my name, as well as my mother's. There is always something going on in the large reception area with residents from all the wings enjoying things like a tea party, flower arranging, word games, exercises, etc, with entertainers visiting regularly. The home is kept very clean, decorated regularly, with a pleasant garden. I am extremely happy with my mother's care.

The staff are always attentive, caring, and on hand when needed. The activities team are friendly and often hilarious - it's hard to engage everyone all the time, yet they somehow manage it with humour and warmth. My husband especially enjoyed helping with the resident cat, a firm favourite who brightens the day.

Family and friends are made to feel welcome, and residents are treated with dignity and genuine affection. The facilities are well laid out and clean, with pretty gardens. Mum seemed happy with the food, which was varied and nourishing. Regular wellbeing checks, hairdressers, chiropodists, and beauticians add to the homely feel. The laundry service was immaculate, even during short respite stays.

Having seen other homes over the years, I believe anyone can be staff, but it takes someone special to be a carer. The team here truly care. Compared with others, the cost feels fair and reasonable. We're grateful to have found this local gem.

Overall Experience
My husband has been in Lent Rise for about 7 weeks now and I must say that I'm very impressed with the level of care that is provided. All staff are so helpful and caring and my husband, all thought at the stage of 'end of life care' is far more settled than when in hospital. My husband's dignity has always been very important to the staff. The nursing staff are wonderful as are the carers, management, right through to cleaning staff, they always have a cheerful disposition and are always ready to help.
It is great that they allow animals to visit as well so I'm able to take my Labrador to see hubby. The other day, although sadly I missed it, they even had a miniature horse visit them. A true home from home.

It is always clean and tidy and very well presented. There are plenty of activities to get involved with. I have great peace of mind that he is so well cared for now that he can no longer be at home with me.

I feel mum could not have been in a better place in Lent Rise House for the past couple of years. She has received the highest standard of care and has been treated with kindness and compassion at every stage of her time there. It has been important to us as a family that we have been able to consistently with the same members of staff (at every level) throughout mum's time of residence; we feel that having families faces around has been good for mum. Mum also particularly appreciated the fact there was a cat in the house! Many thanks

Lent Rise has been home to my mother for the last 3 months. The staff are very kind, caring and approachable. Her room is very spacious and well equipped. My mother mainly has nursing needs and the team have identified additional equipment e.e pressure relief mattresses and a bed that lowers to the floor, to help her manage her conditions. The team have nursed her through her various ailments and been proactive in arranging doctors visits. As we visit regularly they will provide feedback where appropriate. When significant issues have occurred, they ensure we are kept informed and updated. Given my mothers state of health it was not possible to continue the individual care we were providing at home and I feel reassured she is in the best place to meet her needs and will be cared for going forward.

My father experienced the very best of care filled with kindness, compassion and fun. We visited 3-4 times a week throughout my Dad's 7 weeks and felt instantly at home at Lent Rise. Dad's room was bright, overlooking the gardens, we added pictures and photos to the walls and a Christmas tree, it felt homely for Dad and for my Mum when she visited. During every visit there would be different activities, from singing to games, craft to movies. There were different communal spaces for residents to access with a range of activities and events across each area. Every member of staff was so kind to Dad, and also took great care of my Mum and other visitors. In Dad's final days Mum and I spent many hours by his bedside, and were cared for too. All the staff were angels, from care staff to admin, the management team to maintenance. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness.

As a family, we feel fortunate that my wife and children's mother has benefited from the care provided by The Fremantle Trust, initially at another home for 1 year and nearly 4 years at Lent Rise House. The care that she has received is second to none. We feel blessed that she is able to receive such care, which could not be bettered. In addition, such care and support extends to us personally and to visiting relatives. We could not ask for more.

My mother was always treated with the utmost care and dignity by everyone at Lent Rise House. Not the circumstances anyone wants to see their loved one in later in life, but the nursing home felt like a home rather than a care facility. Staff are caring, thoughtful and respectful. I will always treasure my memories of the Christmas party. Mum and I laughed and sang it was such a precious time. Thank you all.

Mum was in Lent Rise for nearly 2 years and as a family we could not fault it. The staff worked extremely hard at getting to know and understand her wants and needs, not always an easy task as Mum was one of a kind, and we feel that the wonderful team of staff were caring and compassionate enough to make Mum's last years, months and days as comfortable as possible. Mum sadly passed away December 2024 and we will miss not only her, but also the lovely staff who made us feel part of their caring community.

I have recently moved my mother to this home and my experience has been really good. The care team were very helpful and the move was simple. Her room has all that is needed and it's clean. Unlike the last home she was at they have got my mother who has dementia to take part in lots of activities which is refreshing to see. I would like to thank the home and all the team for the exceptional experience.
