Rayners, which was purposely built and developed in 1990 to suit older people's care needs and makes the most of a skilled and friendly team in order to achieve a very high level of customer satisfaction.

Rayners is still family-owned and managed and is operated by the Matthews family and not part of a care homegroup.

Each of the 44 single bed suites at Rayners, including bathrooms, toilets and lounge areas have large picture windows, television, telephone point, complimentary wi-fi and an emergency nurse call system installed. There are no set visiting hours and visitors are encouraged at all times.

Self-contained luxury 'assisted living apartments' have been added within the grounds of Rayners. These offer emergency 24-hour support for those who require the reassurance, security and back up of a care home, without having to enter a communal living setting.

Professionals at Rayners know that social activity is important and therefore publish a newsletter detailing varied activities and events for the forthcoming month. They encourage suggestions from residents/relatives relating to the high-class service they offer and have a 'suggestion box' on reception for this purpose.

Rayners kitchens are fitted with all the latest equipment to ensure that residents receive high quality, well-balanced meals prepared in ultra-hygienic surroundings, by qualified and experienced chefs.

The staff take great pride in their catering services and very proud to announce that they do not set budgets on food costs, whilst still supporting local trades to supply the catering team. All fresh meat is supplied by a local butcher, Kings Farm Shop in Wendover.

Rayners is situated in a tranquil setting in the Chiltern Village of Hyde Heath. They are close to the M40, M25 and M1 motorways, making it accessible for visiting.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother was a resident for 15 months until her death in August 2016. Throughout this period the care she received was exemplary. There were always members of staff on hand and nothing was ever a problem or trouble. The home was always clean and tidy and the food excellent. All the residents were encouraged
to drink regularly and to take part in the activities provided. During my mother's final few days we- her family- were welcomed at all times of the day and night and looked after well with kindness and compassion. I cannot praise the staff at Rayners highly enough. Thank you all!!
