I was a volunteer worker in both old and new White Plains for 23 years after a friend died. As soon as you walk into the home it says Welcome. I still visit another 98 year old friend of 47 years. I am 91 and still enjoy my visits there.

White Plains have provided my mother with fabulous care, compassion and companionship since she entered in August.
She is happier, more settled and content than in many years.
I cannot praise the staff, all of them, highly enough.

The addition of Perky the cat, and occasionally Bailey, the dog, have added to Mum's wellbeing immensely too!

I am always welcomed warmly by all staff; updated on my mother's wellbeing and am grateful for the kindness. All facilities are clean and tidy, including public areas, private rooms and the gardens. The food is tasty. All in all, excellent. I love visiting my mother and see she is content, happy and more confident in herself.

When visiting our friend we are always greeted by friendly staff. Our friend has improved greatly since living here. When living on her own she wasn't eating or drinking properly but since being in the home and having regular home cooked meals and plenty to drink she looks and sounds much better.

My father has dementia and his memory loss progresses daily. Since the day he arrived, my father has been unfailingly treated with respect and kindness. This has made his transition from his own home to a care home a good experience. Little courtesies, for example, a key to his own room has enabled him to keep his dignity whilst fitting into a communal house. He now feels he is 'at home' in White Plains and is comfortable and content there. As a family, we have been supported by the manager and her staff and are very grateful.

My elderly neighbour and dear friend moved to this care home in August 2016 and I visit her regularly. We were sad to see her leave her home but we are delighted to find her happy and beautifully cared for. She is full of praise for the staff, loves her room and food etc is good. She also has the opportunity to view and walk in the delightful gardens. Everything about this home is excellent, this is the description she uses over and over. We feel she has been very lucky in finding this home and wish her many years there, as we love going there too! Well done White Plains!

Following my confinement upstairs at my home for six months in the care of excellent carers and the death of my 98-year-old brother, a kind friend made a thorough tour of the care homes in an area close to my home in Uxbridge. White Plains proving to be the best in all ways.

My mother has been in White Plains for 1 year. It took a few months for her to settle but she is now content.
The manager and all staff are very caring, pleasant and friendly. The home is very spacious, so it's easy to push mum in her wheelchair, it is always clean and we have never noticed any unpleasant smells.
The food is excellent and varied (with a choice of menu)
On my mums 92nd birthday the chef mad her a lovely birthday cake (delicious, we were offered a slice when we visited, with a cup of tea)
There is a lovely flat garden with paths for wheelchairs and a lovely conservatory to sit in.

It is really a home from home. Also good entertainment.

Very pleasant entrance into the car park; well cared for gardens all very attractive. Always welcomed there, whoever answers the door. Feels like a good hotel, clean, comfortable and welcoming.
When we visit our friend, we are able to sit in lovely rooms and coffee is offered to us.

The calm and comfort of the home is all-embracing so much so we would like to stay longer. Peaceful.

Great place, friendly staff, very welcoming, clean environment.
The manager always appears very involved in all matters in the home. Never too busy and is approachable.
The manager knows all residents well.
The outdoors is also very encouraging and it is busy.
I worked in the care industry as a carer before and now am a staff nurse and pay keen attention to care facilities and identify where there is a concern.
White Plains appears very up to date with service users needs and the required care standards in the UK.

I will recommend this home to anyone needing a place for an elderly person requiring this care service.

I have been visiting my friend who is a resident of White Plains for about two and a half years and I am constantly amazed at the level of care she receives and the attitude of the staff of the home who are all so pleasant.

This is probably down to the approach of the manager who, in my experience of a number of homes my family have been involved in as relatives/friends, is second to none.

The manager is very hands on approach to cover any loose ends. Her staff are very well chosen and are very kind and helpful and appear happy in their work. I notice that after each shift, the staff have to fill in a report on each individual resident.

There is always a warm welcome from all staff at White Plains. The staff work hard and seem happy in their work. The residents are very well cared for and cherished as individuals. As a friend of one of the residents, I am very confident in the staff's care for her in every respect. White Plains is an outstanding example of what all care and nursing homes should be like. In my opinion, all this filters down to staff and residents from the excellent management of the home led. A good and caring manager leads to a good and caring home.
