Delighted that we chose Halstead Hall for Evelyn, the care and attention she has received has been excellent in every respect. All the staff have been very attentive and helpful. The staff are delightful, nothing is too much trouble, which allows the 'Home' to have the feeling of being a happy place.
Equally, the medical team's support is excellent, and I wish to thank them for their continued support during Evelyn's stay.

On behalf of my daughter Emma and myself, we wish to thank you and all those involved

Reply from Charlie Diamond, Marketing and Communications Lead at Halstead Hall

Halstead Hall is a delightful place. Staff go above and beyond to provide the very best care and experiences for residents.
My mother has been a resident for just over a year and recently turned 90. Staff provided a private room for us to celebrate as a family, not to mention the delicious cake the staff provided for us to enjoy. As well as tea and coffee all served in the finest bone china!
Residents rooms and communal areas are warm, welcoming and well maintained. The activities staff provide a wide range of different activities for residents to take part in if they wish.
All staff know residents by name understanding each of their individual needs.

Overall I highly recommend Halstead Hall to anyone considering residential care for a family member, friend or themselves.

Halstead Hall has been amazing for my Mother. We initially placed my Mum there for respite care following a second fall just before Christmas in December 2024.

It was quickly apparent that Mum (who did not initially want to go into a care home) was in safe hands. The care she received has been amazing. We converted the respite care to permanent resident in February 2025 with my Mum's agreement.

All the staff have been wonderful and the care home always keep as fully informed. Lisa in the front office along with all the management team have been fantastic. One of the hardest things I have ever had to do is to allow someone else to provide the primary care for my ageing Mother. But Lisa and the Team immediately gave me the support and confidence in this transition.

I could not express my gratitude enough for the lovely care and the safe environment that is provided for my Mother and the residents of Halstead Hall.

We placed mum here for respite a couple of times before we left her here in full time care.
We visit 2 - 3 times a week to make sure Mum is happy and well. She has nothing but good things to say about the home and staff and seems really happy. Recently her health has not been so good and the response and attention she has been given during this time has been second to none.

We have got to know some of the key staff and have found them to be personable, diligent and professional in all respects. We are very glad we chose this home. I would be more than happy to recommend this home to anyone who is in need of arranging care for a relative.

Our Mum has just enjoyed every aspect of Christmas at Halstead Hall. The staff were amazing and she thoroughly enjoyed all of the opportunities offered to her. My mother in law has been at the care home now for over 3 years. She is extremely well looked after and is very happy with the staff and the home and facilities on offer. She speaks so highly of the activity staff who keep her busy with games, crafts and outings. Things she would never have done at home living on her own. It has given her a new lease of life. The food that is served is of excellent quality and her personal dietary needs are catered for. Where we have had reason to contact the home, our queries have been taken seriously and answered to our satisfaction. As my mother in law is hard of hearing, Lisa in the office is a fantastic go between and goes above and beyond. I would certainly recommend this home to others.

My father has been in Halstead Hall for over three years now. From our first visit we were impressed by the cleanliness of the home and the lovely atmosphere it has. The staff are all fabulous and always friendly and helpful. The activities coordinators are always finding new things for the residents to do and do their best to encourage the less keen to join in. The food looks fab and if my father does not want to wander down to the dining hall then his meal will be brought to his room. Overall he is settled now and regards it his home.

My mum has dementia and has been at Halstead hall for over 18 months and I cannot recommend the home and the staff that work there enough. All of the staff are wonderful, caring & supportive towards the residents living there and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are such an excellent team and are willing to go the extra mile for the residents and their families. The moment we first walked through the door when looking for a home for mum we knew that we wanted her to move in. The home has a lovely homely feel and welcoming atmosphere, is well decorated and very clean. All my mum's health and care needs are met and if ever I have any concerns (which is very rare), the staff are on it straight away. The activities provided and food for the residents are excellent. My mum seems very happy living there. I feel very confident that she is safe and being well looked after and can't fault the standard of care that she recieves. I would have no hesitation recommending Halstead Hall.

My mum has been in Halstead Hall for some respite care. The day my mum arrived at Halstead Hall she was initially greeted by a senior carer, who immediately made her feel at ease and offered her a warm welcome. This warm welcome has also been extended to us, her immediate family, too. My mums room is very clean and beautifully presented, with modern furnishings. All staff are incredibly friendly, polite and caring, and make my mum feel special by popping in for a chat to see how she is. My mum has benefited greatly from the activities provided each day, she's now a whizz at Domino's and card games, and has nearly knitted a cardigan at knitting club! The visiting Therapy Dog has also been a real treat for her.
The coffee area is a great place to go when we visit my mum, it's such a nice social space for all to enjoy. My mum has also enjoyed the variety and quality of the food provided.

It has been reassuring for us as a family to know that my mum is safe and so well cared for.

From the first visit to view Halstead Hall for our Mum, we were made to feel very welcome. Having to move Mum out of her own home after 60 years was a very difficult decision.
