Halstead Hall is a residential care home located in 15 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The home provides long-term, respite and convalescence care for up to 65 residents.

Halstead Hall offers a choice of high-quality, newly refurbished, bedroom suites, all of which include en-suite bathrooms and nurse call buzzers, as well as a TV and telephone point. Larger communal bathrooms are all accessible with a hoist and bath chair, and there are lifts providing access to all floors.

An attractive dining room offers a tempting and varied menu of home-cooked food, freshly prepared from local produce where possible. Individual tastes are taken into consideration and all special diets can be catered for.

Entertainment and activities are organised on a daily basis and all residents are encouraged to participate. Visiting services include a hairdresser, chiropodist, optician and clergy.

Our mum came to Halstead Hall for two weeks restbite care. Sadly, she was only there for just under two weeks when she passed away. The care she received was absolutely excellent from all the staff. As a family, we stayed with her for her final five days. Within this time, the staff not only cared for
her, but they also went above and beyond and cared for us as well. They supported us through our worse times and we couldn’t thank them enough. You really do have staff that care from love!

Mum came in for 2 weeks of respite care. The staff were very welcoming and supported Mum with patients and dignity.
When Mum's health failed due to her cancer and she slipped into end-of-life care, the team were just incredible with their support and understanding as were the senior staff and district
nurses.

Mum came to Halstead Hall during the Covid lockdown, as the home she has been a resident of closed down. She has settled well, and visits were facilitated during the Covid-restricted period. Mum is now on end-of-life care and is being looked after extremely well by the staff.

My father came here after a fall a year ago, he was made to feel welcome and secure in his surroundings and he loved it here so much that he decided to stay permanently. The staff have always supported him in everything (encouraging but not pushy) and communication with myself has been great, I no longer
worry about my dad on a day to day basis as I know he is in safe hands.

Mum has been a resident since before Stow Healthcare took over. The vast improvements they have made are amazing. The staff are all incredible, with nothing being too much trouble. The atmosphere created is welcoming and happy.

We are very happy with the care Mum is receiving at Halstead Hall. The staff are very attentive and they interact with Mum well. We can see she feels comfortable with them and her surroundings. Mum is included in activities and joins in when she feels like it. The home is clean and well cared for and
the meals are appropriate for Mum's needs. Mum is kept clean and well-dressed. We are kept informed of any changes in regards to visiting or Mum's health.

My husband is very well cared for. When my husband has had problems, staff liaise with me and ask my opinion. I feel that the staff will call me if there are any problems that I can help with. All staff are very sociable and caring.

Always made welcome when we visit the home. The resident has always got clean clothes on. Pleased that the resident is kept entertained with various activities as much as possible. Good quality of food and also good portions. Residents' view of the garden is very relaxing.

My mother-in-law has been at Halstead Hall for the past few months. The care and attention she has received from all staff have been exemplary. Her mobility and mental health have improved immeasurably. She enjoys and looks forward to all the activities organised and I understand from her that she enjoys
setting them up as well as the participation. To be able to see her laughing and joking again is all down to the staff here. She's been to the cinema a couple of times, something she hasn't done for many years. She speaks highly of the meals and enjoys the fruit and snacks freely available. It has certainly confirmed to us how happy she is here and would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone looking for residential care.

Staff at Halstead Hall have been fantastic taking care of Mum for two respite periods, which were needed at very short notice on both occasions.
She settled in well and made good friends very quickly. As I live abroad with limited family close by, it is a relief that Mum is, safe, content and that
she herself says "the staff are lovely". The Hall itself is stunning and the room mum has is amazing although she appears to spend most of her time in the communal areas "with the girls".

My mother has been in Halstead Hall about 7 weeks now and I have to say the staff from admin to the carers involved with Mum's care have been wonderful. They seem to genuinely care about the residents. It was Mum’s birthday recently and they went out their way to make sure she felt special, so thank
you. As much as I didn’t want Mum in a home I know we’ve made the right choice and Mum is safe and well cared for.
