Choosing a care home is an important decision, and families often say they feel confident from their very first visit to Weavers Grange. Surrounded by two acres of gardens and mature cedar trees, the home offers a calm and comfortable environment where residents can continue daily life with familiarity and dignity.

Residential, nursing and short stay respite care is provided for up to 63 residents. The experienced team takes time to understand each resident properly, shaping support around individual routines, preferences and wellbeing while keeping relatives informed and involved.

Each private suite has been recently refurbished and includes en-suite facilities, nurse call systems and connections for personal televisions and telephones. Accessible bathing areas, passenger lifts and a range of welcoming lounges and dining rooms provide spaces for social time as well as quiet relaxation.

Meals are freshly prepared by the in house kitchen team and carefully planned around dietary requirements. A varied programme of activities supports wellbeing, and regular visits from a hairdresser, chiropodist, optician and clergy help maintain familiar routines.

As part of Stow Healthcare, Weavers Grange follows a long standing commitment to attentive and compassionate care delivered by a professional and approachable team.

Families are invited to visit the home, meet the team and discuss individual care needs in person.

My father in law moved into Cedars Place in December 2025. We were really happy with the care he received and the support given to the family. All the staff were so kind and always had time for a chat with him. The home is very clean, I would highly recommend.
Reply from Lynn Pereira, Marketing and Content Executive at Weavers GrangeThank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. It is truly comforting to hear that your father in law received such considerate care and that your family felt supported during his time with us. Supporting residents with dignity and compassion, while also being there for those who love them, is something that matters deeply to everyone here. Your kind words about the warmth shown and the time taken to sit and chat will mean so much to the team. Those simple moments of conversation often make the biggest difference.

My father came into cedars place on Xmas eve needing respite care but is now awaiting confirmation to be there full time
In the few weeks he has been in the home , we have found the care he has received to be very good
He has been treated with respect and dignity at all times from the care staff
and the management are always there to check on him and also us his family as it's been a worrying time getting my dad settled into the home so we are very pleased with cedars place
Reply from Lynn Pereira, Marketing and Content Executive at Weavers GrangeThank you for sharing your experience and for such kind feedback. We are really pleased to hear that your father has settled well at Cedars Place and that the care he has received has been reassuring for you and your family.
We know how worrying it can be when a loved one first comes into care, especially at such a significant time of year, so it means a lot to know that your father has been treated with dignity and respect and that you have felt supported along the way. The team genuinely cares about both our residents and their families, and your comments will be very encouraging for them.
Thank you for placing your trust in us.

My mum moved into Cedars Place in June 2025 and we are beginning to see a real improvement in her overall wellbeing.
On every visit she looks warm, clean and well cared for.
During a recent assessment I was really pleased to hear that her aggression, caused by her dementia, has actually started to
reduce which to me means that she feels settled and most importantly safe.
I would have given 5 stars but there appeared a distinct lack in care staff over the 2 hours I was there which gives some cause for concern. Especially as I was unable to ensure she was able to drink her tea which had been delivered within the first 30 minutes of my visit. I was unable to find anyone to help me lift her into a position whereby I could give her a drink.
I have not noticed that during any of my other visits, so I can only assume something important was happening at that time. I did go downstairs to look but there were only catering and cleaning staff available and no one in the office.
Reply from Lynn Pereira, Marketing and Content Executive at Weavers GrangeThank you so much for sharing your thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mum is settling in well and that her wellbeing has noticeably improved, as that means so much to us. We appreciate you highlighting the quieter staffing period during your visit and truly value you bringing it to our attention. While this is not reflective of our usual standards, your comments help us continue to improve. We are glad your other visits have been positive and look forward to continuing to support your mum with the care and comfort she deserves.

My mum had a lovely time staying just over two weeks for respite. Her room was very quiet and overlooked the gardens at the rear, which were well looked after. The staff always friendly and attentive and she received excellent care whilst staying there, enjoying the lovely meals and snacks provided.

Overall this has been a great move for my mother. There have been odd times when there have not been enough staff around or things have not been done quickly enough but this may have been due to circumstances outside their control. It is a friendly place, the food is good and plentiful. Staff , including
the cleaners, are lovely.

My mother has been at Cedars Place for the past two years. She has received great kindness and attentive care from the staff here.
When problems arise as they inevitably do over time, they are dealt with professionally and sensitively . We tried a couple of other homes before settling on CP, and it
has been by far the best.
Thank you.

Mum was cared for so well. Her personal hygiene own neglect was overcome and she was always well presented and dressed as she chose. The food is good and carefully, visually presented to help choice. The home is immaculately clean and the bedrooms always kept neat and tidy. Activities take place 7 days
a week and the rapport staff build with residents is positive and relatable to each individual. The activities ladies are true stars and bring laughter to each session alongside a range of topical activities. Visitors can bring dogs and there is an open door policy at the home which all staff express, must feel like their own to every resident.

My mother was cared for in Cedars Place from January 2023 to November 2024. We were really happy with the care she received. The staff were kind and caring and showed real patience. Everyone was always happy to have a chat with us whenever we visited. The activities on offer were really varied and
she enjoyed taking part in some of them. We were always happy when we left after a visit that she was being well looked after.
The staff were supportive and exceptionally caring at the difficult time of her end of life care. We cannot thank them enough for looking after her for nearly the last two years of her life. We would definitely recommend Cedars Place.

My Nana came for temporary respite care following a hospital stay. We chose a lovely front facing room where we knew Nana would enjoy looking out of the window and the room was perfect for what she needed. We couldn't be happier with the care she received, everybody made her feel very welcome and included.
All the staff are wonderful and we're very grateful that they made her stay a comfortable one. Cedars Place is a lovely care home that we wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending.

The care provided to my dad whilst he was with you form June - November was outstanding. All staff were so kind, not only to my dad, but to us family members who were also going through a tough time during this period. My dad was kept comfortable and were kept informed and consulted with every difficult
point during his time with you. All staff showed great compassion and dad could not have spent his final months anywhere better suited to his needs. Thank you all very much for the great care you provide, it really is appreciated.

Cedars Place is a lovely environment with caring staff. The end of life care that our mum received was excellent and we are grateful for everything you have done for her, including looking after and comforting dad when he came to visit, giving him a hug and making him a cup of tea. It would have been
better if we could have been consulted on the care plan when mum arrived, rather than a week into her stay, so that more appropriate meals could have been provided.

My dad went into Cedars Place for end of life care for 5 days before he died. The care he received was amazing and I can't thank the staff enough for looking after him with such dignity.
Mum then needed to go into Nursing Care as she is bedbound with advanced Parkinson's and we knew exactly the best
place for her. Moving into a nursing home could potentially have been a traumatic one but on arrival she was fussed over and made to feel so welcome and it was such a relief to know she was going to be so well looked after.
The care she receives is so personal to her needs and they have managed to get her to sit in a chair in the dining room, which she hasn't been able to do for 2 years at home. It means the world that I can spend time with her at a table and not at her bedside.
Every member of staff are so caring, loving and compassionate and they love the residents like they were their own relatives.
I honestly cannot recommend Cedars highly enough. Thank you so much.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.802)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.802) out of 10 for Weavers Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.802 for Weavers Grange is calculated as follows: ( (288 Excellents x 5) + (62 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 354 Ratings = 4.802
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Weavers Grange is based on 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 63 registered maximum number of service users is 12.6, which has been reached with 31 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
