Special thanks to the manager and co for getting my mother-in-law to an x-ray urgently when we couldn't. And very special grateful thanks to the lady who gave up her day off to accompany her to hospital for a blood transfusion today.

My mother has settled in very well and seems happy here. The staff have been very friendly and I can talk to them about any problems I have and it gets sorted straight away. The food is lovely and cooked on the premises, Mum seems to be gaining a bit more weight which is good.


The rooms are lovely

and spacious, plenty of room for manoeuvring a wheelchair etc. Kept clean and always tidy.

As a family, we have been extremely impressed by the quality of care that mum has received in the first few weeks at Evelyn May House.
Staff are caring, courteous and respectful in both their relationship with mum and her family members.
As mum's needs have changed so has her care seamlessly
adapting to her needs. External medical support has been called in immediately when needed.
This is a fantastic facility where I feel sure mum is safe and secure.

I could not have wished for a better place to end her days. My mother had the best care. The carers cared for her with such love and affection and dignity.
The staff were second to none.
The care home is perfect with good facilities and beautiful tea room and surroundings. My mother was always happy

I can’t express enough how wonderful and caring the team at Evelyn May House are. They cared for my mum for over two years, right through to the very dignified end. Everyone showed her such tenderness, kindness and respect that made my mum feel safe, happy and secure. I will savour many memories of
the happy moments my mum had, especially the singalongs and dancing that she loved.

Dad moved into Evelyn May House on the 25th of June 2018 and unfortunately passed away on the 5th of September 2018. During his time at Evelyn May House, I found the staff, carers and cleaners to be professional, caring, understanding and always treated my dad with dignity and respect. I would not have
wanted dad to be cared for anywhere else. The staff were approachable and always kept me informed, they were always welcoming when I visited dad.

The home had a vibrant and healthy atmosphere, the residents seemed happy and well cared for. All in all, I had a very nice experience. If I should ever need this kind of assistance I think I would be very happy here. Not sure if there's enough activities. 1st visit though.

First impressions are always paramount when deciding on a care home. I felt totally at ease with the staff and the surroundings. I cannot fault the care given to my father. Dad passed away at Evelyn May and the staff helped a very difficult situation to be more bearable for his family The whole team,
from admin to carers and support staff are absolutely brilliant. I wouldn't have wanted Dad to be anywhere else.

I have visited mum, she feels happy but seems disturbed by unstable people around her, shouting, crying etc.
I feel she would be happier in a more quiet environment.

Mum was put into Evelyn May House for two weeks respite. During that period mum was looked after very well. She ate well which is something she will not do at home. Her pressure sores (which were very bad on admission) were treated and healed well. She was kept clean and interacted well with all the
carers and other staff.

My mother has been in Evelyn May House for over 4 years.


She is very happy and is looked after by caring and attentive staff, the home is always clean and they keep her room spotless.


She loves her food and enjoys being able to choose what she can have, Friday is her favourite day as she has fish

and chips.


They do many activities and get most of the residents to participate overall I am so pleased on how my mum is looked after.
