Larchwood Care Home is an excellent home, all the staff are kind, caring and truly lovely people. My husband is very happy there and he is looked after so well, I could not be happier knowing when I am not there he is being kept clean, treated with respect and I can only say loved. The home is clean, the rooms are lovely and has a lovely feel about it. I have always been treated with respect whenever I visit my husband, I cannot praise he home enough.

My husband has been in Larchwood for over a year, in that time the new manager has done wonders, the home is always clean and homely, nothing is too much trouble, any problems are resolved quickly. There is always a member of staff on hand to discuss any needs, any medical problems are resolved quickly .
The carers are kind and understanding of Dementia residents and give them the respect they deserve.

In difficult situations.

The entertainment team are first class and there is always a variety of activities for the residents.

The hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly. The gardens are well kept with plenty of leisure areas for the residents to see the wildlife.

A very pleasant visit to see my Dad, he appeared to be very well looked after. Staff are so pleasant and caring. I was there during lunchtime and could sit with my Dad at mealtime. the food is excellent, a choice of meals are well cooked and nutritional (fresh vegetables and good quality meat). So pleased that my Dad is resident in such a lovely care home.

The Staff and nurses have worked hard to help my wife recover from pressure sores which were discovered following a recent Hospital visit.
They (Larchwood) were proactive in getting her back from Hospital so they could provide the care and attention that was required to meet her needs as someone with vascular dementia.

They are kind, supportive and most of all understanding.

Just a note about our pie and mash visit with Dad recently, my sisters and I were very pleased and impressed with the facilities and staff, thanks very much for this and also for looking after Dad.
It has been a year since my dad joined the home and in this first year we have all found him improving steadily, he's more the happy-go-lucky person he has always been so once again thank you.

Hoping you have a lovely Xmas.

My dad was poorly and when hospital and respite in a care home he wasn't looking forward to it but the Larchwood care team made him at home and safe. He didn't want to come home which made it easier for us when the decision had to be made. The whole team go above and beyond the call of duty and nothing is too much trouble. He has new teeth which he has wanted for years and Larchwood has so many things, that they sort everything out. I would be at a total loss without Larchwood and the management team as always there to help in any way.

We came to see the country and western singer on the 22nd of August. We had a fantastic time. The weather wasn't good but the staff were great organising the event inside. All the residents were enjoying the music and good food. Again we had a great day.

Since the new management has taken over the home has changed so much for the better. It's clean and tidier. The rubbish has all been cleared and the garden refurbished. The rooms look homely. The staff seem happy and really care about my mum. Her eyes light up when they walk in her room. Thank you for looking after her.

My mother was sent to Larchwood Care Home from the hospital. She was greeted like an old friend, which made me both surprised and extremely happy and my mother therefore settled in extremely well. She is happy and loves the staff who in turn show nothing but kindness to her. Everyone is encouraged to socialise which is a lovely thing to see.

Mum came to the home in February 2022 - she had dementia and we could no longer care for her at home. After a difficult couple of weeks finding her feet, Mum soon settled in, we found staff to be kind, caring and attended to all Mum's needs. She had a lovely well kept room with doors to a lovely garden. She enjoyed the food and even though wheelchair-bound at the end, she enjoyed the activities with the lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble, it was her home.

My mother has been at Larchwood Care Home for approximately eight months. During this time I have only ever seen her treated with dignity and friendship. She feels happy and has many people to talk to. Her condition does leave her confused and muddled but the staff at Larchwood help and aid her. Overall we are extremely happy with Larchwood.

My stepmother has been in the care home since August 2022. We are very happy with the care that's been provided for her. The staff are always polite and friendly to visitors. She eats well and is always clean and tidy and we often ask her if she is happy here and she always says that she is, and you are all lovely souls.

The level of care Dad receives is outstanding. The staff all love him, genuinely care for him and treat him with absolute respect and dignity.
My brother and I manage our lives so that one of us is not far from Dad. We have just had a rare holiday together and were able to go away with the knowledge that Dad was in excellent hands. We were so pleased to find that Dad had been on an outing while we were away and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We can't thank you enough for all you do for Dad and us.
