Over all time The Lodge has 63 reviews.
I have been visiting the lodge for a while now and have been so impressed by the recent changes since the new owners took charge. The whole home feels revitalised and staff team are so happy to help. The manager is warm friendly and approachable.
My mother-in-law has been a resident in this home for 18 months and since Black Swan took over ownership this year the care and standards have improved immensely. The residents have a choice of menu and the staff are cheerful and very supportive. It is a home from home. The lounge is bright and comfortable with a large television, the dining room is lovely too. The residents are taken out to events locally which they enjoy. Altogether, a very happy care home.
Leaving reviews is not something I normally take the time to do. However, I felt after visiting my sister who has been at the home a number of years, my experience was one of complete adoration to the efforts and changes that have been completed since the new ownership.
They truly care about the people that live there and nothing is too much trouble. They have worked tirelessly at providing an adaptable environment and one where people have assisted with being given the choices to the small details and the overall decoration. Everything has changed and changed for the better. Everyone is smiling and the staff group are so helpful and caring. Thanks for making me worry less!

- Good - The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
- Requires Improvement - The service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
- Inadequate - The service is performing badly and we've taken action against the person or organisation that runs it.
- Not rated - we have not yet rated this area of the service, this is normally because the assessments we have carried out have been focused on other key questions.
