Mum resides at Valentine House where the staff are all lovely.Professional and caring.Dad also resided at Valentine House up until recently when he passed away where the staff showed care, empathy and warmth at a very vulnerable time for myself and the family.Mum has settled into the care home and joins in with the activities, where there is such a lovely feeling to the home when you walk through the front door.I cannot praise Valentine House enough.

We couldn't be more grateful for the incredible care my mum receives at Valentine House. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're welcomed like family. The staff are simply amazing, so kind, compassionate and always going the extra mile to make sure she feels safe and happy.
What really sets this place apart is the fantastic range of entertainment and activities they provide. Whether it's live music, craft sessions, or themed days, there's always something fu and engaging going on. It's great to see how much thought and effort goes into keeping everyone active, entertained and connected.

What an incredible day at the BBQ! From start to finish, it was filled with laughter, delicious food, and unforgettable memories. The energy was amazing - families coming together, kids running around with huge smiles, and the smell of perfectly grilled food in the air. There's something so special about spending time outdoors with loved ones, soaking up the sun and enjoying the simple pleasures of great company and great food.
One of the best parts of the day was the variety of activities and events that brought everyone together. Whether it was the fun games for the kids, the live music, or the friendly competitions, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It's always heartwarming to see a community come alive like this - sharing stories, making new friends, and celebrating what really matters: connection.
Huge thanks to the organizers for putting together such a thoughtful and well-run event. These kinds of days remind us how important it is to slow down, be present, and celebrate.
Thank for your lovely comments about the summer BBQ! It's really our pleasure to welcome so many people to these events and to see everyone enjoy themselves so much. We'll pass your comments on to the team at Valentine House.
We're really happy with the care my mother-in-law receives. The manager and her dedicated staff always make the effort to ensure she is comfortable and supported. The home itself is clean, calm and has a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. It gives us real peace of mind, she is in such good hands.
Thank you for your lovely comments regarding your mother-in-law's care at Valentine House - we're so pleased you have peace of mind.
The care and attention Dad sets is absolutely outstanding.
Kind and caring, each member of staff we are updated very frequently about Dad and thank you each of the carers for all you do.
Thank you for these kind comments about the care and support your Dad is receiving at Valentine House. We will ensure they are passed onto the staff at the home.
My mum has been in Valentine House just under a year, she wasn't best pleased that she unfortunately had to move to a care home but the manager and all staff had worked very hard with her to ensure she is comfortable and that she is well looked after. As a family we have seen a massive change in her health and appearance she has never looked better or been healthier, nothing is never to much for any of the staff, everyone is very welcoming and always greeted with a smile.
Thank you for this lovely review. We're so pleased that you can see the improvement in your mum's health and appearance since she moved into Valentine House.
Valentines House is very lovely with top food and services.
Thank you for your kind review which will be shared with the staff team.
Would like a service where someone regularly meets with a relative to discuss Mum's current condition/welfare in order that if there are any changes to items required we know as she is unable to tell us.
managerwill be in touch to make these arrangements.
I know most by name.
Thank you for your review and good to hear that you find the staff team friendly.
My mum has been in the home since March 2023 and all the staff have been so kind and always have a smile on their faces when times can be difficult. I know my mum is safe and well looked after and I thank every member of staff for all the support and kindness.
The care at Valentine House is amazing. Residents are shown much loving care and compassion by the carers, management and all who work at the home. The manager and the deputy manager have very good knowledge of the residents and are very supportive of resident's relations.
Thank you for your kind comments, I will ensure this is passed on to the staff at Valentine House.
My mother became a resident of Valentine House for four and a half months of respite care following a severe break of her femur. When she entered Valentine House my mother could not walk and was entirely dependent upon the care provided by the team at Valentine House who were professional, empathetic, kind and frankly brilliant in the care of her during this period. This help has allowed my mum to recently return home and we cannot thank the team enough!
Mum has been here at Valentine House since July, we as a family have seen her slowly come back as the witty and cheerful woman she should be. We know how happy she is here, the staff and management are wonderful. I really am so pleased Mum has her home here, she feels so at ease with everyone, I would like to say thank you to you all for having her and others' best interests at heart all the time.
My nan is in Valentine House and loves it. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Nan has got lovely relationships with all the staff, even the house manager pops in to her for a little chat. Can not fault the place.
My mother has only been here for a week, but already can see a massive difference in her attitude to life, she's mixing in, made friends and is finally eating and drinking properly. She's having showers and her hair washed on a regular basis. The staff are always cheerful and happy to answer any queries or questions.
Thank you very much for your kind comments, which I will share with the staff team.
Kind regards.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. It is great to hear how happy you are at Valentine.
I sometimes feel the staff are stretched for the amount of care/support that is needed from time to time. Also, there is the smell of urine in the corridors. However, I feel I am able to talk to the manager who deals with my concerns. The home is very good in keeping me informed of my Mother's condition and I feel they do care for her.
Thank you for your feedback which is important to us. We will look into the areas you mentioned and make any required improvements to ensure that we continue to provide a pleasant environment and good-quality care.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and allow me the quality time I need with my mother.
