My mum moved into Weald Hall on 25th November 2025 and the improvement in her physical and mental wellbeing has been very encouraging. The staff are caring and conscientious and we as a family are very grateful for everything they've done for Mum. The standard of the home and its activities is first
rate and staff have always been friendly and helpful when we have contacted them.

It's the staff that make this place. There are some very good people working here, people that really care. My mum loves it in here. I could not have predicted it would turn out like this after struggling to look after her for some years. It has shown to be a great home for her. Thanks so much for
the entertainment put on every day. I'm not naming anyone because there are loads, and I might miss someone out. Thank you again for what you do.

My Dad moved into Weald Hall in Sept 25, and the transformation has been incredible. Before, he was confined to a dementia unit, but now he has the freedom to roam, engage with both residents and staff, participate in daily activities, and take an active interest in life once more. At first, I was concerned
about how he'd adjust to a new care home, but the staff were exceptional. They gently helped him settle in, drawing on their wealth of dementia knowledge to ensure he was always comfortable and well-cared for. The rooms are a great size, giving Dad plenty of space to feel at home, and the whole environment feels like a home rather than a care home. The staff-to-resident ratio is excellent, meaning there's always someone nearby. Weald Hall has truly brought new energy into Dad's life, taking him out to play golf and even to the local market. Since his move to Weald Hall, I've felt an immense sense of relief, finally able to relax after a challenging year.
Reply from Kate Wyatt, Administrator at Weald Hall Care HomeThank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. We're truly delighted to hear about your dad's positive transformation since joining Weald Hall. Our team is passionate about creating a homely, engaging environment where every resident can live life to the fullest, so it's incredibly uplifting to know he's enjoying his independence, activities, and community here. We understand how important it is for families to feel reassured and supported, and we're so pleased that you now feel at ease. Your kind words mean a great deal to our whole team. Weald Hall Care Home was my first experience of respite care and I couldn't have found a better place to put my husband into, it enabled me to have a break with piece of mind knowing that he was in goodhands.
The care he was given was first class, the staff are amazing so dedicated with endless patience.

I find 'all' the staff very helpful to my sister-in-law and motice they have the same care to all residents I come in contact with.
The home is very safe, when I visit my sister-in-law I am always let in and out by staff only. When I visit the home there's always some activity with residents in the
main room in the morning. My sister-in-laws room and home is extremely clean. The home seems to be very well run and my sister-in-law is very happy there.

My mum had been struggling at home on her own, even with carers visiting, for some time then fell and had a lengthy stay in hospital, when ready for discharge she was assessed as needing residential care, since she has been at Weald Hall she has settled in and seems happier and more enthusiastic than
she has been for a long time. we think it's the activities, new friends and the lovely happy staff. Thank you.

My father in law moved into Weald Hall in Feb 25 and sadly died there in March 25. Although he was only there for 5 weeks the care was absolutely fantastic. All the staff are professional, warm, caring and compassionate. The facilities from the bedrooms to the communal areas are spotless and promote
service user interaction. We are so glad my father in law could spend his last few weeks here being cared for by these wonderful people. All the staff were wonderful to our family, it was like a home from home when we were there and they supported us throughout his stay and when he died. I will be forever grateful to them, thank you management and your amazing team x

My mum has been a resident for 18months now and overall we are very happy with the level of care she receives .The carers and office staff are always helpful with their knowledge regarding dementia and have got us through some challenging times .As a regular weekly/almost daily visiter they are always
welcoming and nothing is too much trouble if you need help with your loved ones .They have lots of entertainment for the residents as well as family days where all the family can join in .The home has a great feel to it and everyone is treated with the upmost respect .Many of the staff have been there along time so you can get to know them properly , there doesn't .appear to be a big turnover of staff which speaks volumes .The main thing is my mum says she is happy and staff are lovely and she feels safe and cared for which is very reassuring for us as a family .It is very well run by the management team who go above and beyond for the safety of the residence .

The home is always very friendly and welcoming and the staff caring and helpful to deal with. Communication with ourselves is done striking a good balance between keeping relatives informed where necessary but not so often as to cause alarm or worry.
I've often said of the staff there that often have
work in challenging circumstances that they earn and deserve every penny of their salaries.

Having visited several care homes recently, Weald Hall is up there with the best.
It is always clean and tidy and no unpleasant smells. There is a good staff to resident ratio. Activities are varied, trips out are arranged to local facilities for residents that wish to partake.
Well cared for grounds

Dad has recently moved to Weald Care Home. And before Dad even moved in we felt part of their family. So supportive and caring to Dad and us. Extremely professional and have a wealth of knowledge of dementia care. Although my dad is fairly poorly I know his in safe hands. Dad lives with his illness
at weald care home. He is no longer dying from his illness in care. And when his time comes I feel comforted in the fact he will be surrounded by us and the love and care at weald Hall. They continue think outside of the box to meet Dad's care needs.

Due to the full care my father needs I can not fault what they do for him at the home .He has his own privacy but is always checked on if something is out of normal routine.
Even today he normally has his door always open but I was just helping him and straight away there was a knock at the door and
a voice asking "is everything OK " and a head popped round just to make sure dad was OK.

We have been looking for a care home for my mum for some time and nowhere we have seen comes close to Weald Hall. Mum has dementia and Dad has cancer so he is finding it extremely difficult to care for her. Mum is completely dependent on him and only ever happy if she is with him. That was until we
took her to Weald Hall. As soon as Mum arrived she was relaxed and settled immediately. The manager and her wonderful team took time to get to know about Mum before meeting her to ensure a personal connection straight away. It didn't take long before Mum was dancing to ABBA and eating delicious food she would refuse if we offered it to her!
Something that really made all the difference to us, was the care and consideration also given to Dad during such a difficult time.
Weald Hall really is home from home and I can't recommend it enough.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.934 for Weald Hall Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (678 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 725 Ratings = 4.934
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Weald Hall Care Home is based on 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8, which has been reached with 61 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
