As you enter into Woodbury Court it seems very quiet and peaceful but as you move along the corridors and meet the residents and staff the home comes alive. Staff pride themselves on activity-based care and involve residents in all that they do. Promoting independence and choice is paramount.

The home has warm, welcoming and cosy dining rooms and lounges. But if a quiet place is needed that can also be found, choice is so important.

My brother in law was moved to Woodbury Court from another care home as it was closing down in May. This was when COVID-19 was at a high so we have been unable to visit him at this new home. They have kept us informed of his settling in period and progress regularly including photographs and conversations
with him on the phone. On Friday we were able to see him in the home's garden. It was wonderful to see him after 3+months. The visit was very well organised and he was well prepared for the visit. Top marks to the manager and her team. Thank you.

Today was the first time in over three months that I was able to see my brother, was so pleased to see him and to see how well he looked and how happy he is, he has only been in this home for about four weeks and has settled in so well which is a credit to all the staff. Thank you for your care and

I had a social distancing visit with my mum for the first time in 12 weeks, it was a well-controlled visit. The care home has done an excellent job of looking after her during this pandemic.
They keep me informed at all times. Have sent me photos of mum getting involved with staff and other residents
during the lockdown when I could not see mum face to face.
They are all doing an amazing job.

My nan has been living at Woodbury Court for around three and a half years and I could not recommend this care home more. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and modern, and the food smells amazing – my nan always looks forward to her tea breaks during the day!
There is consistent communication via email/calls to provide regular updates and this is particularly appreciated during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff have also organised several video calls with my nan during lockdown and it has been so wonderful to be able to communicate with her over the past couple of months when I haven’t been able to visit in person.
I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all the carers and staff who have continued working during these troubling times. Your optimism, kindness and compassion shine through and I, like so many others, am so grateful for the incredible service you provide for our loved ones.

Woodbury Court is an excellent care home. The management and staff are always available to discuss any issues that they or I have in relation to my sister-in-law's care. Although she can be difficult or demanding at times the staff always take it in their stride and remain cheerful, helpful and professional.
My sister-in-law has settled in very well and appears to be very happy in her surroundings.

I am a daughter of a person who has been a resident for a number of years at Woodbury Court. My sister and I visit regularly. We have always been extremely pleased with everything. The staff, accommodation, cleanliness - everything - has been of the highest standard. During this lockdown period,
they are keeping us up-to-date with everything including regular photos sent to us of our mum. When it was decided, quite a few years ago, that a care home was necessary for our mum, we were very careful indeed in choosing one and we have never, for a moment, regretted our choice. Mum is very happy there and our late dad, who also needed a care home a year after mum, was also a resident for many years. Again, we had no complaints and indeed when he was very near to the end of his life, they couldn't have been more helpful. Well done Woodbury!

When my father passed away some six years ago, my mum could not cope without him. Life seemed to be over and she became mentally unstable and extremely unwell. As a result, she became sectioned under the mental health act and my sister decided to look for a care home to save her from herself, really
she was very ill, we approached Woodbury Court and was welcomed by the house manager who was very professional in her application and the staff were very reassuring with the task that was ahead for us all. They have been brilliant with mum over the time she has been there and basically given her a life we thought she could never have again. They look after her which is something me and my family are extremely grateful for.

My Nan has lived at Woodbury Court for almost four years now. She has dementia which has worsened over time. We lost my mum in 2018 and the staff were fantastic to me and my Nan, a male carer, in particular, my Nan loves and he brought her to my Mums funeral as we couldn’t get her safely in the funeral
cars. I expected I would need to follow the funeral with my Nan in a cab and was unbelievably grateful for his assistance. My Nan is so happy at Woodbury, she's always smiling and giggling with the staff and tells me how lovely they are. Nan is well cared for and the food always looks great. More funding /budget is needed by the care home Group to supply more regular transport for the homes to be able to take residents out and about. I feel my Nan would really benefit from leaving the home a bit more and does really enjoy herself when she has a change of scene.

My Mother has been at Woodbury court for two years, and in that time, her health and mental capacity hasn't declined. My Mum was very distressed and confused at her time of admission, and all the staff and management were fantastically helpful with both family and Mum. They ensured all her needs were
met and worked with us to create a care plan to assist and cater to Mum's individual needs.
Whenever we have had any concerns or issues, they are quick to react to ensure problems are resolved swiftly.
The care staff have built up a great relationship and rapport with Mum, and go the extra mile to ensure all her needs are met and to share a joke and laugh with each other.
The home has a very happy and welcoming atmosphere, and families are welcomed warmly when visiting. Staff are very helpful and engaging.
I have already recommended Woodbury Court to a friend who has placed her Father there, and I would recommend again. 10 out of 10.

My mother and father have been at Woodbury Court care home for approximately two and a half years and are well looked after by the friendly, caring staff. When I mention my parent's names, the staff immediately know who I am talking about, and it's nice to know that they are known and treated as individuals.
During the Covid19 Virus, the manager has been quick to put Woodbury Court into a shutdown procedure, taking safety as a priority for the staff and residents and chiefly, for me, my parents. The use of video calls has been offered as a way to keep in contact during this dreadful time and has been a boon as it isn't always easy to have a conversation on the phone with my parents as their hearing is impaired. Thank you, everyone, at Woodbury Court.

My 97-year-old mother was sent to Woodbury Court by the hospital for assessment a year ago, at the time, she was very resistant to the idea of any kind of care home. Immediately, the staff put her at ease and worked hard to build a good relationship with her. Very quickly, she settled down and is happier
than I've seen her in years, always saying how good the staff are to her. The home has made sure she has three meals a day, and all of her needs are met day and night. I don't think we could have chosen a more caring environment for her. This has been proved during the Corona outbreak when all staff have done their utmost to protect the residents. Woodbury Court is a family and relatives are not forgotten either; support is there for all. We are very grateful we found this care home; we think it is one of the best available.

During this worrying time of Coronavirus, I have been able to video chat with my mum. I get lots of photos, texts get shown to her, flowers have been delivered. I cannot thank and praise the staff at Woodbury Court enough, they are so wonderful. I was even able to say hi to some of the other residents

My father has been a resident at the home for more than five years. He has always been treated with care and respect by all the staff and the carers have responded to his changing needs. Welcome to Woodbury Court. My name is Mel and I am the Home Manager. Woodbury Court is purpose-built and provides residential care for up to 94 residents. Our home consists of 5 homely suits; Rose and Tulip on the ground floor, and Ivy, Lotus and Jasmine on the first floor. Each suite has its own lounge and dining room, as well as communal facilities. Each bedroom benefits from its own en-suite. We provide a hairdressing service in our salon, and our ‘Allsorts’ tea room is very popular with residents and visitors. We offer a wide range of activities which include live entertainment, budding bakers, arts and crafts, and a weekly visit from Poppy the PAT dog. We would like to invite you to come and view our lovely home and meet our team. We are very happy to answer any questions that you have and look forward to welcoming you.

I have been part of the Woodbury Court family for eight wonderful years. In my role as Financial Administrator, I enjoy meeting new people and reminiscing with our residents, listening to their cherished memories and fascinating stories.


Beyond work, I love contributing to the home’s vibrant atmosphere, especially when helping to decorate for special events. A fun fact about me: I once won £2,500 on a slot machine during a trip to Las Vegas!


Before joining Woodbury Court, I worked for the Metropolitan Police. I am also a qualified first aider and have successfully passed my basic driving course.


In my free time, I enjoy reading, creating diamond art, going to the cinema, and socialising. Arts and crafts are a passion of mine, and I love bringing creative projects to life.

I have been with Runwood Homes for over 14 years, working in various capacities to support the care team and residents. Currently, I hold the role of Care Team Leader at Woodbury Court Care Home.


I have an NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Food Preparation and Hospitality, as well as an NVQ Level 2 in Web Design and Development. My experience spans both the care and hospitality industries, allowing me to bring a diverse set of skills to my role.


A fun fact about me is that I once jumped into a river in Ireland to save a dog that had fallen in and got its paw caught between two rocks. Over the years, the river has grown deeper and more treacherous—depending on who I'm telling the story to!
