I have been happy with Mum's care. Unfortunately, Mum's health needs have changed since she has been in care, and the home and staff have adapted her care to reflect this. All staff are friendly and caring to Mum.

Our mum has been living in Woodbury Court for six months now and we have found the care is absolutely brilliant!
All the staff are attentive and kind. They have all supported Mum and our family when we needed it and continue to do so. There are plenty of activities daily for the residents and welcome visits from our pets, which mum loves.

I honestly believe Mum has been fortunate to have a home here with such lovely staff members. I thank each and every one for their kind compassion and cheerful personality. It's a challenge at times, but the staff shine through.

Since my father became a resident, I have been impressed with the professionalism of the management team, who have kept me informed of issues arising with collaborative discussions on reactive strategies.

This is underpinned by the friendly and caring atmosphere created by the staff, who are fully aware of my father's needs and likes.

I have been impressed with the level of care provided by the staff at Woodbury Court since my mother became a resident in October 2021. The approachable management team are always happy to discuss any matter regarding my mother's care and I have found the care team both cheerful and understanding when interacting with the residents. I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent care home.

Staff great, and the care given to me was very good. There's one thing that lets the place down the catering. A number of times I had to complain about the food. A few times I was given cooked meals that were cold and in some cases were still frozen.
It has to be said though that I got on well with the staff both nursing and caregivers, I had a laugh with them sometimes too. They had a live singer perform some songs which were great, though I only listened from my room, it wasn't bad actually.
Overall, my experience was not too bad, but it would have been better if the food was better than it was because, as well as the above, they gave me baked jacket potatoes several days on the trot, which I took to rejecting. The same applies to the several plates of pasta bake I was given day after day.

Don't get me wrong, I like jacket potatoes and pasta bake too, but when you are given the same thing day after day, it can get a bit boring. But, as I said, my overall experience was good.

Mum has been a resident since July, after having a stroke then breaking her hip. It took a little time for her to settle but now she looks forward to spending her day with the other residents in the day rooms. She is happy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and genuinely care for their charges. The home is clean and bright and the rooms are well furnished. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are always on hand to help.

My mother was placed in Woodbury in May after the passing of her best friend and companion of more than 40 years, who was also her carer. Her friend passed while she was in the hospital, and she was stuck in the hospital for two weeks before being placed in Woodbury. She was in a very fragile state when she arrived there, traumatised by her friend's passing and the realisation that she could never go home again. She was truly blessed that she was placed in Woodbury as the kindness and care she received were exceptional. All the staff took to her and befriended her, especially one lady. In addition, the manager and the care home team were instrumental in assisting me in organising a transfer to a facility in Dublin, where I live. She only spent a short time there, but she made a big impression on everybody, as they did on her. While she wanted to move to Ireland to be closer to family, she still misses all her friends at Woodbury. Thank you for everything; we are forever in your debt.

My mum has been a resident at Woodbury Court since February 2022. She suffered a stroke last Christmas and went from a very active person to one needing professional care. My family and I have been extremely pleased with the professional level of care our mum/nan has received.
All the staff are very friendly and the love and patience they show are humbling.
In May, Mum suffered another stroke. This affected her even more than previously. The management at Woodbury Court stepped up and continue to care so well. The general attitude within the home gives us confidence that proper care is afforded to our much-loved mum/nan at all times.
The manager and staff are very approachable and deal with any problems promptly and always with a smile.

I doubt anyone would want their parent in a home but if this is required for the best care I would think one would be hard pressed to find a better, more caring home.

Warm and welcoming felt like home from home for Dad. My father was very nervous about taking some respite for a couple of weeks but the staff made him feel very safe and were very attentive to his needs. In the few weeks he has spent at Woodbury Court we noticed his speech was vastly improved. All the staff we found were friendly and very professional, they also made our family more relaxed. A big thank you from my dad, as well as ourselves.

Woodbury Court is a lovely, clean and caring home. My husband entered in September 2021 and has settled happily. He has Alzheimer's so is in a world of his own but gets on well with all the staff. The staff are amazing in what they do to entertain residents and they had an amazing Jubilee party in the car park, which residents and visitors thoroughly enjoyed. You can visit any time and do not have to make an appointment which is a good sign that they are always pleased to see you.

My dad has only been at Woodbury Court for a couple of months, in this time I have seen a huge improvement in not only his health but well-being too. Every time I visit there is always something going on, tea parties, music, raffles, Easter hunt, days out and more.

Like most elderly people my dad was lonely, I’m seeing him smiling like I’ve not seen in years and that’s all down to each and every one of the team there, they’re all super friendly and they work hard to keep all the residents happy and the place is spotless. I leave him knowing he’s happy and in good hands.

My brother went into Woodbury Court for respite care last summer and the staff took such wonderful care of him that he stayed. Woodbury Court opened its arms and hugged him and haven’t stopped yet. My brother was black and blue from the falls he had had after several operations - since being at Woodbury Court he has not fallen once. He has a smile on his face all day every day - he is clean and smart and so cared for and surrounded by wonderful caring staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing the life of my brother and making him happy again

My mother has been a resident of Woodbury Court since 2019 after her former home closed, we were nervous as she was happy in her previous residence, however, we needn't have worried. Woodbury Court has been marvellous for my mum even in the very difficult Covid times. She is well looked after and all the staff I have met do a wonderful job.

Mum has been a resident since July 2020, throughout the whole pandemic. Despite extremely difficult circumstances, all staff, and especially carers, have been excellent throughout her stay. They make her feel special and are always mindful of her health and well-being. Both managers and carers alike keep us continually appraised of any incidents or issues affecting Mum and have accommodated visits whenever prevailing conditions have allowed.
Woodbury Court is clean and well maintained and there is an emphasis on maximising communal interaction when appropriate within ongoing Covid restraints making the best use of garden, lounge and dining areas for residents.
The carers are thoughtful, considerate and kind and invariably display a tenderness when dealing with Mum and she herself recognises their devotion to her and to others.

Managers and staff have been courteous, polite and very helpful throughout the duration of Mum’s stay

Mum has settled into the routine of the home now, having moved in last May, the care she is getting is excellent, and she is a lot happier now she has settled. Her room is bright and airy and is kept clean and tidy, as are the communal areas. Despite all the problems being thrown up by constant isolations and closures caused by various Covid outbreaks the staff have still been able to organise special treats and activities which the residents enjoy, such as coffee mornings, crafts, games etc. The staff do have a very welcoming and caring attitude whenever I visit or phone, and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who has a relative that needs care as they get older and frailer or suffer from dementia.

Our family feel we are so lucky to have found Woodbury Court for my mum.
All the staff are so friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The management team are very approachable. Any little concern you may have, it is very easy to talk to them about it and it will be dealt with promptly and effectively.
The building is well kept and the bedrooms are lovely. My mum has her own armchair in her room which makes it feel like home for her.
If Mum isn’t well or has a fall the staff always let me know and reassure me that she is okay.
Through these difficult times of Covid, it has been reassuring to know that she is so well looked after.
She takes part in many of the activities that take place, such as pizza making, coffee mornings, church service and sing songs! (When restrictions allow)

The staff all work so hard to give the residents a happy life in Woodbury Court. Thank you!

Review from John M (Son of Resident) published on 15 February 2022 Submitted via Website

My mother moved to Woodbury Court in 2017 as she has dementia and needed 24/7 support. I have nothing but praise for the staff and management who have made it a proper home for her and given her the support and care she needs. The home has been regularly redecorated and improved and is always immaculately clean. Her room is lovely and bright, the food is of a high standard with a selection of choices and you can see into the kitchen when you visit and it is spotless. They organise activities e.g. nail painting, pizza decorating etc. Clothes are laundered regularly and hung up in her wardrobe. Unfortunately, Mum has had to be hospitalised on a few occasions and each time I’ve had the staff and management calling me regularly to see how she is. They really care and regularly sent photos of Mum during the lockdowns. I have no hesitation in recommending Woodbury Court and would like to thank the staff and management for their professionalism and hard work.

The carers here do go above and beyond. They all seem to care very much about the residents.
Must be hard with the lockdowns for staff and residents, but they soldier on.
When they can, there are activities for residents and a hairdresser during the week, which is great. There is a small garden which should look good in the spring.
The courtyard to be fair could benefit from a good spruce up, but guess that is up to directors.

But the carers, management, receptionist, kitchen staff and laundry ladies all do their very best for the residents and I couldn’t hope for anymore and feel confident my mother is in safe and caring hands, which is all I could hope for.
