As you enter into Woodbury Court it seems very quiet and peaceful but as you move along the corridors and meet the residents and staff the home comes alive. Staff pride themselves on activity-based care and involve residents in all that they do. Promoting independence and choice is paramount.

My mum moved into Woodbury Court nearly seven years ago. She has been very happy there from day one. The manager and her deputy are approachable, hands-on and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are also friendly, helpful and hardworking. I would highly recommend this care home. We,
as a family, have peace of mind that our loved one is happy, settled and so cared for.

My mum was quite poorly before going to Woodbury Court. She is now like a changed lady. She loves it at Woodbury Court, and they do so much with the clients. They join everyone in with everything they are doing in the day room every day. I like it as well because the staff take loads of photos of everyone
and put them onto their webpage. So you can see what your family is or has been up to when you are not there. The staff are very good with the clients. I honestly could not ask for any better care for my mum. Thank you to everyone for all you do for my mum, and you are all lovely and doing a fantastic job.

I have been happy with Mum's care. Unfortunately, Mum's health needs have changed since she has been in care, and the home and staff have adapted her care to reflect this. All staff are friendly and caring to Mum.

Our mum has been living in Woodbury Court for six months now and we have found the care is absolutely brilliant!
All the staff are attentive and kind. They have all supported Mum and our family when we needed it and continue to do so. There are plenty of activities daily for the residents and welcome
visits from our pets, which mum loves.
I honestly believe Mum has been fortunate to have a home here with such lovely staff members. I thank each and every one for their kind compassion and cheerful personality. It's a challenge at times, but the staff shine through.

Staff great, and the care given to me was very good. There's one thing that lets the place down the catering. A number of times I had to complain about the food. A few times I was given cooked meals that were cold and in some cases were still frozen.
It has to be said though that I got on well with
the staff both nursing and caregivers, I had a laugh with them sometimes too. They had a live singer perform some songs which were great, though I only listened from my room, it wasn't bad actually.
Overall, my experience was not too bad, but it would have been better if the food was better than it was because, as well as the above, they gave me baked jacket potatoes several days on the trot, which I took to rejecting. The same applies to the several plates of pasta bake I was given day after day.
Don't get me wrong, I like jacket potatoes and pasta bake too, but when you are given the same thing day after day, it can get a bit boring. But, as I said, my overall experience was good.

Mum has been a resident since July, after having a stroke then breaking her hip. It took a little time for her to settle but now she looks forward to spending her day with the other residents in the day rooms. She is happy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and genuinely care for their charges.
The home is clean and bright and the rooms are well furnished. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are always on hand to help.

My mother was placed in Woodbury in May after the passing of her best friend and companion of more than 40 years, who was also her carer. Her friend passed while she was in the hospital, and she was stuck in the hospital for two weeks before being placed in Woodbury. She was in a very fragile state
when she arrived there, traumatised by her friend's passing and the realisation that she could never go home again. She was truly blessed that she was placed in Woodbury as the kindness and care she received were exceptional. All the staff took to her and befriended her, especially one lady. In addition, the manager and the care home team were instrumental in assisting me in organising a transfer to a facility in Dublin, where I live. She only spent a short time there, but she made a big impression on everybody, as they did on her. While she wanted to move to Ireland to be closer to family, she still misses all her friends at Woodbury. Thank you for everything; we are forever in your debt.

My mum has been a resident at Woodbury Court since February 2022. She suffered a stroke last Christmas and went from a very active person to one needing professional care. My family and I have been extremely pleased with the professional level of care our mum/nan has received.
All the staff are very
friendly and the love and patience they show are humbling.
In May, Mum suffered another stroke. This affected her even more than previously. The management at Woodbury Court stepped up and continue to care so well. The general attitude within the home gives us confidence that proper care is afforded to our much-loved mum/nan at all times.
The manager and staff are very approachable and deal with any problems promptly and always with a smile.
I doubt anyone would want their parent in a home but if this is required for the best care I would think one would be hard pressed to find a better, more caring home.

Warm and welcoming felt like home from home for Dad. My father was very nervous about taking some respite for a couple of weeks but the staff made him feel very safe and were very attentive to his needs. In the few weeks he has spent at Woodbury Court we noticed his speech was vastly improved. All the

Woodbury Court is a lovely, clean and caring home. My husband entered in September 2021 and has settled happily. He has Alzheimer's so is in a world of his own but gets on well with all the staff. The staff are amazing in what they do to entertain residents and they had an amazing Jubilee party in the
car park, which residents and visitors thoroughly enjoyed. You can visit any time and do not have to make an appointment which is a good sign that they are always pleased to see you.

My dad has only been at Woodbury Court for a couple of months, in this time I have seen a huge improvement in not only his health but well-being too. Every time I visit there is always something going on, tea parties, music, raffles, Easter hunt, days out and more.
Like most elderly people my dad was
lonely, I’m seeing him smiling like I’ve not seen in years and that’s all down to each and every one of the team there, they’re all super friendly and they work hard to keep all the residents happy and the place is spotless. I leave him knowing he’s happy and in good hands.

A nice atmosphere for the residents and everyone you meet are very friendly and chatty making you feel very welcome.
The manager has been great helping us with all the paperwork etc and all the staff are very helpful.
The rooms are clean and light as are the corridors, lounge and breakfast room.

would recommend this care home as a great place for your loved one to become a resident.

My brother went into Woodbury Court for respite care last summer and the staff took such wonderful care of him that he stayed. Woodbury Court opened its arms and hugged him and haven’t stopped yet. My brother was black and blue from the falls he had had after several operations - since being at Woodbury
Court he has not fallen once. He has a smile on his face all day every day - he is clean and smart and so cared for and surrounded by wonderful caring staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing the life of my brother and making him happy again

Mum has been a resident since July 2020, throughout the whole pandemic. Despite extremely difficult circumstances, all staff, and especially carers, have been excellent throughout her stay. They make her feel special and are always mindful of her health and well-being. Both managers and carers alike
keep us continually appraised of any incidents or issues affecting Mum and have accommodated visits whenever prevailing conditions have allowed.
Woodbury Court is clean and well maintained and there is an emphasis on maximising communal interaction when appropriate within ongoing Covid restraints making the best use of garden, lounge and dining areas for residents.
The carers are thoughtful, considerate and kind and invariably display a tenderness when dealing with Mum and she herself recognises their devotion to her and to others.
Managers and staff have been courteous, polite and very helpful throughout the duration of Mum’s stay

Mum has settled into the routine of the home now, having moved in last May, the care she is getting is excellent, and she is a lot happier now she has settled. Her room is bright and airy and is kept clean and tidy, as are the communal areas. Despite all the problems being thrown up by constant isolations
and closures caused by various Covid outbreaks the staff have still been able to organise special treats and activities which the residents enjoy, such as coffee mornings, crafts, games etc. The staff do have a very welcoming and caring attitude whenever I visit or phone, and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who has a relative that needs care as they get older and frailer or suffer from dementia.

This is our second experience of Woodbury Court after Dad spent 3 happy years there, from 2014 to 2017. In both cases, the home has always been kept in excellent condition and the staff from the management down have been friendly, helpful and attentive.

Our family feel we are so lucky to have found Woodbury Court for my mum.
All the staff are so friendly and kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The management team are very approachable. Any little concern you may have, it is very easy to talk to them about it and it will be dealt with promptly
and effectively.
The building is well kept and the bedrooms are lovely. My mum has her own armchair in her room which makes it feel like home for her.
If Mum isn’t well or has a fall the staff always let me know and reassure me that she is okay.
Through these difficult times of Covid, it has been reassuring to know that she is so well looked after.
She takes part in many of the activities that take place, such as pizza making, coffee mornings, church service and sing songs! (When restrictions allow)
The staff all work so hard to give the residents a happy life in Woodbury Court. Thank you!

Welcome to Woodbury Court. My name is Mel and I am the Home Manager. Woodbury Court is purpose-built and provides residential care for up to 94 residents. Our home consists of 5 homely suits; Rose and Tulip on the ground floor, and Ivy, Lotus and Jasmine on the first floor. Each suite has its own lounge and dining room, as well as communal facilities. Each bedroom benefits from its own en-suite. We provide a hairdressing service in our salon, and our ‘Allsorts’ tea room is very popular with residents and visitors. We offer a wide range of activities which include live entertainment, budding bakers, arts and crafts, and a weekly visit from Poppy the PAT dog. Hi, I am Sarah Foxton. I am the Financial Administrator at Woodbury Court.


I have been part of the Woodbury Court family for eight wonderful years. In my role as Financial Administrator, I enjoy meeting new people and reminiscing with our residents, listening to their cherished memories and fascinating stories.


Beyond work, I love contributing to the home’s vibrant atmosphere, especially when helping to decorate for special events. A fun fact about me: I once won £2,500 on a slot machine during a trip to Las Vegas!


Before joining Woodbury Court, I worked for the Metropolitan Police. I am also a qualified first aider and have successfully passed my basic driving course.


In my free time, I enjoy reading, creating diamond art, going to the cinema, and socialising. Arts and crafts are a passion of mine, and I love bringing creative projects to life.

My name is Lorraine Degville, Deputy Manager at Woodbury Court.


I have been with Runwood Homes for over 10 years, and I truly love my job. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is spending time with the residents each day, getting to know them personally, and ensuring they experience the best day possible through excellent care and kindness. I also enjoy meeting their families and working alongside the amazing team at Woodbury Court.


I hold a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, which has helped me to grow professionally and provide the highest standard of care.


A fun fact about me is that I know and can perform the entire routine of Tina Turner’s "Proud Mary"!


In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and going on days out.

I have been working at Woodbury Court for 2 years, where I thrive in a fun, family-orientated environment. I hold a Level 3 NVQ qualification and am always looking for new ways to enrich the lives of those in my care.


My fun fact is I own a tropical discus fish from the Amazon and once had the opportunity to meet Dannii Minogue! In my free time, I enjoy singing karaoke and travelling.

My name is Neil Potkin. I am a Care Team Leader at Woodbury Court Care Home. I don't have a profile picture as I don't like my photo taken. But I wanted you to know a little about me.


I have been with Runwood Homes for over 14 years, working in various capacities to support the care team and residents. Currently, I hold the role of Care Team Leader at Woodbury Court Care Home.


I have an NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Food Preparation and Hospitality, as well as an NVQ Level 2 in Web Design and Development. My experience spans both the care and hospitality industries, allowing me to bring a diverse set of skills to my role.


A fun fact about me is that I once jumped into a river in Ireland to save a dog that had fallen in and got its paw caught between two rocks. Over the years, the river has grown deeper and more treacherous—depending on who I'm telling the story to!


In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and baking. I also love reading and spending time with my dogs.

John Nicholson

My name is John, and I work as the maintenance man at Woodbury Court. I love the people I work with, as well as the wonderful residents I serve every day. In addition to my maintenance skills, I’ve earned a care certificate, reflecting my commitment to providing support in all aspects of my role.


A lesser-known fact about me is that I can drive Army vehicles—a skill I’m proud of and always happy to share stories about! In my free time, I enjoy watching my son play rugby, which brings me so much joy and pride.
