As you enter into Woodbury Court it seems very quiet and peaceful but as you move along the corridors and meet the residents and staff the home comes alive. Staff pride themselves on activity-based care and involve residents in all that they do. Promoting independence and choice is paramount.

Dad joined Woodbury in January to give Mum some respite. Unfortunately, she passed away in February after a very short illness and our whole lives turned upside down. The whole team at Woodbury have been absolutely incredible. They supported Dad in his transition, made it all so smooth and stress-free.
We were all over the place but they have a wonderful talent for caring, supporting, saying the right things and generally just 'being there'. Dad is so, so happy there. Every day we see updates of the activities they do with him. He's been out on lots of trips, dabbled in the garden and even made cakes! (He never even knew where the kitchen was at home!). He really has settled so well. Every member of staff have been so genuinely caring towards Dad and us. We're able to relax about Dad's care knowing he's happy. I struggle so much with guilt, but they always take time to support me and I don't think they know how much they really do help. I truly couldn't ask for a more caring team.

Mum has been in Woodbury Court for over a year now and we are very happy with the care and compassion she receives. The staff throughout Mum's stay have been helpful, kind and on hand whenever they have been needed. If we have any issues or help with medical appointments or queries on Mum's care we
are always helped and listened to. One staff member in particular is brilliant at dealing with Mum's care and ensuring everything is as it should be. The management team are always friendly and approachable and very hands on with residents and family members. We feel Mum is happy and content at Woodbury and that is so important to us. I would have no doubt in recommending Woodbury to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

I can wholeheartedly say the workers on the ground level and all other management staff genuinely care about the residents. I feel listened to and no question or query is ever too much trouble. I wish the carers got paid more as they are always overstretched and work so very hard. I feel for them. It's
not a job you can do without having the care and empathy they all have. The care home is well-kept and clean. Thank you Woodbury Court.

My mum was admitted after 2 failed hospital discharges for respite and recovery. It made such a difference to her recovery and wellbeing that there was a case for Woodbury Court to become her new home in a safe environment where she is now thriving and enjoying the last years of her life. This has also
made a huge difference to family members who can relax and know she is safe and well cared for by all the amazing people at Woodbury Court.

It wasn't an easy decision for my mum to move into a care home but via a friend's recommendation we visited Woodbury Court. From the first visit to when my mum moved in the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Her care is outstanding and it's so reassuring that my mum is happy there. The home is
kept to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and always keep me updated between visits. It's a peace of mind knowing my mum is happy, safe and being so well looked after.

A very new experience for us but all the staff at Woodbury have made my mum's transition to her new environment as easy as it could be. She had some health issues and visits to A&E and the lovely caring staff supported her and us as a family.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for looking after my dad so well during his 4-week stay after leaving the hospital. Every single member of staff encountered, from caterers to carers went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, with special mention to two particular members of staff, who helped
to locate a wheelchair for Dad on Sunday afternoon to be able to enjoy the sunny courtyard with family. We were impressed with the level of care and trouble taken to try and work around Dad's slightly awkward food timing requests. Staff were accommodating, and our family were able to use the tea room for a lovely 90th birthday celebration. The only negative point from a safety and practical point of view was the lack of segregation between patients with and without dementia, but other than this, we have nothing but praise for Woodbury Court.

I have left a review once before but feel I need to do so once again.
My mum has been a resident since September 2023, when she came after a short stay in hospital with a broken hip and then another care home.
Woodbury has been amazing to my mum and me.
The staff work so very hard and any small problems
are resolved quickly.
The hard work and care from management to cleaners is impeccable.
They are true angels.

I can't praise Woodbury Court enough; they do so much to support the resident's wellbeing. Their communication with residents and their families is second to none. Despite the horrid realities of Alzheimer's disease, I know I am leaving my mum in safe and caring hands. Thank you so much, Woodbury.

The home has always been well kept, clean, bright and the staff are welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The management team are amazing, kind and always willing to listen. My mother has been at Woodbury Court for almost 4 years and the care has been excellent. Her dementia has deteriorated and she
is challenging to care for but the staff are really kind and try to engage with her at all times. The home has just had a refurbishment and it looks and feels fantastic; there always seems to be some activities and everyone is encouraged to participate and now with more access to the minibus there will be more trips out. No one would wish to be in a care home, but I can honestly say that I doubt that I could have found anywhere that I would have such confidence in.

Lovely home! The manager and the team always listen and sort any problems out quickly and efficiently. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Recently decorated, nice bright rooms. Lovely conservatory for the dining room downstairs.

I can’t praise Woodbury enough. The care they give both my mother and myself is exemplary. All members of staff are friendly, caring and supportive.
There is always so much for residents to do, and even though my mother will not leave her room, the staff never give up trying and encouraging her to
join in.
I always feel welcome, and I especially like the fact I can email anytime if I have any concerns and I get a reply quickly.
I love that whoever is around, be it carers, management, domestic staff, and maintenance all come and have a chat with both myself and mum. It really is a caring family environment.

My mum joined the Woodbury Court family in December and the care and support we received in the lead-up to her coming to the home meant the world to us as it was a hugely emotional time. Since becoming a resident Mum quickly settled and has been extremely well cared for, nothing is too much trouble
and any issues/concerns that I have brought up have already been addressed, they are always one step ahead. The relief we feel whenever we visit to see happy smiling faces from everyone - the staff are very attentive and make you feel part of the Woodbury family. We consider ourselves very lucky she is there.

My mum has been at Woodbury Court since February 2019 and she has been looked after with the greatest of care for all that time. I always feel confident she is safe and looked after, especially when I go away. The manager and the undermanager and all the staff have created a lovely atmosphere where
there is always laughter somewhere. There are lots of activities for all and effort is made for individual activities too. The families are also included and there is always a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear when needed. I would not have my lovely mum in any other place.

Welcome to Woodbury Court. My name is Mel and I am the Home Manager. Woodbury Court is purpose-built and provides residential care for up to 94 residents. Our home consists of 5 homely suits; Rose and Tulip on the ground floor, and Ivy, Lotus and Jasmine on the first floor. Each suite has its own lounge and dining room, as well as communal facilities. Each bedroom benefits from its own en-suite. We provide a hairdressing service in our salon, and our ‘Allsorts’ tea room is very popular with residents and visitors. We offer a wide range of activities which include live entertainment, budding bakers, arts and crafts, and a weekly visit from Poppy the PAT dog. We would like to invite you to come and view our lovely home and meet our team. We are very happy to answer any questions that you have and look forward to welcoming you.

Beyond work, I love contributing to the home’s vibrant atmosphere, especially when helping to decorate for special events. A fun fact about me: I once won £2,500 on a slot machine during a trip to Las Vegas!


Before joining Woodbury Court, I worked for the Metropolitan Police. I am also a qualified first aider and have successfully passed my basic driving course.


In my free time, I enjoy reading, creating diamond art, going to the cinema, and socialising. Arts and crafts are a passion of mine, and I love bringing creative projects to life.

I have been working at Woodbury Court for 2 years, where I thrive in a fun, family-orientated environment. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, I’m passionate about helping the residents and creating a positive atmosphere for them. I hold a Level 3 NVQ qualification and am always looking for new ways to enrich the lives of those in my care.


My fun fact is I own a tropical discus fish from the Amazon and once had the opportunity to meet Dannii Minogue! In my free time, I enjoy singing karaoke and travelling.

My name is Neil Potkin. I am a Care Team Leader at Woodbury Court Care Home. I don't have a profile picture as I don't like my photo taken. But I wanted you to know a little about me.


I have been with Runwood Homes for over 14 years, working in various capacities to support the care team and residents. Currently, I hold the role of Care Team Leader at Woodbury Court Care Home.


I have an NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Food Preparation and Hospitality, as well as an NVQ Level 2 in Web Design and Development. My experience spans both the care and hospitality industries, allowing me to bring a diverse set of skills to my role.


A fun fact about me is that I once jumped into a river in Ireland to save a dog that had fallen in and got its paw caught between two rocks. Over the years, the river has grown deeper and more treacherous—depending on who I'm telling the story to!


In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and baking. I also love reading and spending time with my dogs.

My name is John, and I work as the maintenance man at Woodbury Court. I love the people I work with, as well as the wonderful residents I serve every day. In addition to my maintenance skills, I’ve earned a care certificate, reflecting my commitment to providing support in all aspects of my role.


A lesser-known fact about me is that I can drive Army vehicles—a skill I’m proud of and always happy to share stories about! In my free time, I enjoy watching my son play rugby, which brings me so much joy and pride.
