My dad was cared for at Crowstone House for a year. During that time the care he received was fantastic, the staff were kind respectful and recognised dads sense of humour. The setting of Crowstone House is second to none and the cleanliness of dads bedroom, the lounge dining room and all communal areas were exemplary. A big thank you to everyone involved in my dads care. My brother and I are very grateful.

My father was treated with genuine compassion and dignity. Every member of the care team was so kind and respectful to our whole family. His room was peaceful and he enjoyed the wonderful sea views from the lounge. Many thanks to you all.

Mum came to Crowstone (Westcliff) in March 2017 after my Father's death. Mum was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer and had decided that she wanted to be looked after. The carers and office staff looked after Mum fantastically and she was very happy there. The nurse and senior carer and carer were mum's favourites but she liked all the staff and I believe they had a soft spot for her too. My sisters and I are very grateful to all the staff for the care and attention they gave to Mum throughout her time with them.

Our mum only spent her last seven weeks in Crowstone House.
The care received during the period was most caring, thoughtful and understanding of her condition, acute dementia, unable to walk, have any kind of conversation. Also, she was incontinent.
We as her family cannot praise highly enough, all the staff in looking after our mum during her final days.

Thank you again from all the family and friends.

Mum has had 2 wonderful years at Crowstone House. The staff have been thoughtful, caring, considerate and compassionate.

Above all else, Mum has been treated with dignity and respect. This has been of paramount importance to both Mum and the family.

Thank you, everyone, from the management team, support staff, catering... you've been wonderful.

I was given lots of support when my cousin went to Crowstone House. She was made to feel welcome and soon settled. The staff were amazing. Always caring and happy around the residents. My cousin was taken on trips out to the theatre and always enjoyed herself.
Her room was kept spotless and her clothes always clean. I would recommend this care home.

My cousin was very happy there for four years.

Unfortunately, my mother was only at Crowstone House for a short while. But during that time, the family felt that she benefitted enormously from the care, attention and good humour of all those who came into contact with her.

By the time mum went into the home her dementia was well advanced. The staff at Crowstone could not have been kinder, not just to mum, but to us as a family. I have nothing but admiration for all at Crowstone. It is a warm friendly home. It doesn't feel like a care home because it's not a cold purpose-built property. I know mum was well cared for and as happy as she could be. Thank you Crowstone, long may you continue.

My mother was a resident at Crowslane House from November 2016 until January 2017. My mother was very happy here. The staff treated her with kindness and respect. The food is a very high standard. The kindness shown to our family on the day she died was so wonderful.

My mum was admitted to Crowstone House 3 years ago. I feel very happy that mum is receiving such excellent care here. It's like home to home. My wish is that everyone who lives with dementia received the kind of care and treatment that mum is getting here. I visit the home daily and mum is always happy and smiling. I feel very lucky to have found the right place for me.

Although my mother has only been a resident for two weeks, the care and consideration she was given by the staff in this amazing home was second to none. She was very unwell on admission but the time spent with her and care given could not be faulted. We as a family were given all the support possible during this time and also after her death. Thank you to all concerned.

My husband has been cared for at Crowstone House for six months and those last six months of his life have been made happy and comfortable due to the care and love that was given to him by all who looked after him. The surroundings at Crowstone House are light, spacious and clean, but above all the carers were at all times caring, gentle and courteous to my husband. I also found that I was made so welcome when I visited him that it made a stressful time so much easier to bear. Sadly my husband died in hospital but my thanks go to ALL the staff who cared so well for him during his stay at Crowstone House.

Crowstone House is a beautiful listed building on the seafront. My wife has a delightful first-floor room overlooking the estuary. This is a particular blessing because we have been married sixty-four years and we ran a business together for over forty years before retiring to our house further up the estuary in Leigh which has similar views.
My wife enjoys looking out and the view seems to comfort her in her confused state of mind.
It is extremely heart wrenching to be separated after such a long happy marriage but the lovely caring staff have been very welcoming and I can even have lunch with my wife each day.
During these past four years, it has become increasingly more difficult looking after her so it is a great blessing to know she is now safe in lovely surroundings and being properly looked after and cared for by dedicated professionals.

My wife has the added stimulus of being encouraged to join in the many and varied activities by the very enthusiastic coordinator who sometimes includes me!

My mother stayed in her wheelchair in the mini bus and I had a nice seat. I was impressed with the company vehicle, they hired it to take us to Alton Nurseries. Mum loved it. The trips are very therapeutic for her. She was able to go down memory lane with some purchases and a cafe shop. She also had some fresh air and shared in Christmas outside the care home. Our family rated the venue and organisation highly. I enjoyed escorting mum. Thank you.

I find the home clean, the staff caring and considerate. The only problem is that my 95-year-old father does not suffer from dementia whilst most residents there do. The bedroom which he has is very small without a toilet. We knew this and agreed to it as no other rooms were available at the time. Possible more stimulation would be an advantage to the residents.
