The staff at Ashley House are fantastic with any concerns we have relating to our grandmother who has been a resident since April 2025. They also offer a very fun, warm and friendly environment where our grandmother feels safe and loved. We would, and have, recommended Ashley House to anyone who asks.

My Mum is beautifully cared for at Ashley House. The staff understand her needs, treat her with respect and humour and their interaction with her always brings a smile to her face.

I also feel I am cared for, which is lovely when dealing with the complex emotions around dementia. Whenever I turn up I am welcome and seen as part of the friendly community that is Ashley House.

Communication with Ashley House is easy and plentiful.

The facilities are simple but that is all my Mum needs at this stage in her life.

Staff provide genuine care, feels like popping round a family members for a cuppa, rather than visiting a care home.
Always clean, and well maintained, with management actively seeking ways to improve the facilities and experience for residents.

Food is great! Mum always clearing her plate, with friendly chefs, again always checking the residents feedback.

I have just placed my mum in your Ashley House Residential Care Home. The management, staff and volunteers could not have been more welcoming, helpful and supportive,
Although mum has only been in their care a few days she seems happy and settled.

The relief in knowing she is safe and happy is immeasurable.

The staff at this care home have been absolutely wonderful with both my mum and dad. They helped them settle in quickly, and their kindness, approachability and professionalism give our family real peace of mind.

The home itself is always clean, tidy and well looked after, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere every time we visit. It feels safe and very well managed, which is so important with both of our parents living there.

There are plenty of activities on offer, and the team do a great job of keeping residents engaged and involved in daily life.

Overall, it's a very safe, caring environment, and we feel incredibly fortunate that both our mum and dad are being looked after so well here.

Observations show all staff caring. All staff speak calmly and friendly to all residents even under pressure from a difficult resident.

Staff are constantly observing if resident needs anything. They are compassionate and patient. Feeding those who need help to eat. I have never heard a harsh voice but softly talking. The manager is very good in listening about how things are going, she has the attributes of a manager interested in welfare of staff and residents.

Ashley House was recommended by a friend who had rated it highly in connection with the care of her mother. I have experience of a number of places with both parents who required care in their latter years and Ashley House was head and shoulders above the rest. It may not be an elegant building set in beautiful grounds, but the quality of care is outstanding. The purpose-built nature of the building makes it feel far less like an institution or hotel and more like a home. It is homely and friendly and the staff, without exception were all kind, caring and attentive. Not once in the whole year and a half my mother was there, did I have any cause for concern in any regard. Ashley House has a happy atmosphere, there appears to be a very low turnover of staff and it is clean and well-maintained. My only comment would be the garden could be improved on a bit but that may well have already been addressed. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Ashley House.

On viewing the home I was 100% impressed, was so friendly, caring and very family orientated. Once Mum moved in much against her will as never wanted to go into a home she very quickly decided she wanted to stay even tho initially it was for respite. The relief of knowing she's safe 24/7 is amazing. The staff are totally amazing, not met a member who is not 110% committed to making the lives of the residents like home.

Since my grandmother arrived at Ashley House in the winter of 2021 (initially for respite) she was treated with kindness, compassion and respect by all staff members. She has remained at Ashley House ever since and has formed some great relationships with other residents and staff.

Whenever I visit my mother, Ashley House is always clean and the staff friendly. It is obvious the staff all care for the residents, and I know my mother receives so much love and attention from them all. It is a difficult job for them looking after people of varying stages of dementia, but I never see any signs of frustration or impatience.
I am always greeted by the staff with courtesy and interest, and they always update me with any changes that occur, in particular, related to her physical and mental health. I have occasionally taken my two dogs into Ashley House, and the excitement of all the residents and staff is palpable. It's such a joy to have them welcomed as they are always pleased to have strokes (and to hoover up any food that has fallen on the floor!).

I will definitely conclude that Ashley House has been a wonderful choice for me to house my mother.
