Ashley House could not have looked after my mother-in-law better than they did. They were so kind and caring, not just to mother-in-law, but to us as well. They clearly valued our mother-in-law, treating her with the utmost respect and understanding. We are very grateful for this positive experience.
My mother went in for respite, the place is homely, the staff are amazing, was so worried about putting my mother in there but she was content and happy, even had a lovely haircut. Thank you so much to all the staff. Thank you so very much.
Now that my mother is a resident, the staff could not have been more welcoming for what is a stressful time, nothing is too much trouble. Her room and ensuite are warm and spotlessly clean. Visiting is at any time and we have explored the home together visiting the resident budgerigar and fish, the hairdressers and various areas where friends and family can meet outside the resident's bedroom.
When I left my mother this morning she was looking forward to a tasty lunch and a visit to the shops later.
Thank you so much for such a thorough and heart-warming review. It is really appreciated by our team. Best wishes.
Residents are treated like family. Every resident has a 'front door' style entry to their rooms to feel like a home. The rooms are spacious for additional furniture. The residents are nurtured with activities and visitors e.g. the local nursery school come to play, sing, do puzzles etc. All the staff have total respect for the residents and will happily play along even if the conversation is on repeat with residents' dementia. My granny feels like she is at home and is allowed to feel as if she is helpful and meaningful.
Very welcoming and happy environment, the lounge is always busy with residents. My mum has been in for two weeks and the difference is amazing. She is happy and loves the interaction with all the staff and residents. She came from sheltered accommodation and she had become depressed, no interaction with anyone, the lounge was always empty. So I would definitely recommend to any of my friends to come and look around.
My mother has been in Ashley House Bordon since October 2021. The quality of care has been excellent, the staff is always hugely helpful, nothing is too much effort and my mother has settled in well. Food and facilities are excellent; she is happily putting weight back on that was needed. Special praise goes to the member of staff who manages the visitation process; he is so helpful and always positive and has made the whole process so much more manageable for us all - bless him!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review for Ashley House Residential Care Home - our team are so appreciative. Best wishes, Fae.
My father-in-law was a resident for the last 5 months of his life where I have nothing but praise for the care home staff. They have been so wonderful and professional in the care that they provided I can't thank them enough. We were kept informed and advised of every step they took to ensure that my father-in-law was as comfortable as could be.
We have been very pleased with our experience with Ashley House so far and it has only been a matter of weeks. Dad arrived at Ashley House on 6 August 2021 as his previous home was unable to fulfill all of his challenging needs. Since being at Ashley House these last two and a half months some of those challenging needs have been in abeyance as the care team has been pulling out all the stops and adapting their care to dad's needs. We have been very impressed by this versatility and responsiveness and their ability to think 'outside the box' to come up with something that works for dad. Every one being different. It is early days but we are optimistic that Ashley House is the just the right place for dad. We're looking forward to getting to know all of the staff better as dad settles in and makes himself at home! A big thank you to Ashley House.
Ashley House is clean and homely. The staff are very caring. My mother came in for respite care and is going home more mobile and much healthier than when she came in.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home - your kind words are so appreciated and it's wonderful to hear how well your mum is doing after her stay. Best wishes, Fae.
Ashley House is a great care home, and have provided quality care support for my husband since his arrival. The home is nice, the gardens are very relaxing and the staff work to ensure all his needs are met.
Thank you for taking the time to review Ashley House and for your kind words about our team. It is wonderful to hear you feel his needs are well met and you are happy with the care provided. Best wishes.
Very good all round and helpful. Recommend to anyone.

Welcoming. Clean, good food. Good staff.
Ashley House is bright, airy and spotlessly clean, with excellent individual rooms, spacious communal area and a number of smaller sitting areas, all surrounded by a wonderful garden. Mum has been in the home for five years now and is always saying how happy she is and enjoys the various group activities, as well as the weekly hairdresser visits. The staff are very warm and welcoming, happy to provide updates and without fail have managed to arrange visits to see mum at short notice. Well done Ashley House!
We are very pleased with the care my mother is receiving at Ashley House Bordon.
Dad seems so much happier with life since moving to Ashley House he tells me every visit how well the staff are caring for him and how kind they are. We are very impressed with communication we feel thoroughly included in his care plan and when very poorly the staff kept us fully informed of his conditions. Nothing ever seems too much trouble.
Always seems to be a pleasant place, when I visit. Staff are always helpful when I'm there and when I telephone. My Aunt is always clean, well dressed and appears to be very content there. I'm impressed by the way they have coped with all the Covid problems.
Unbelievably dedicated and caring staff who make the residents their priority and feel like family. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We are so pleased he has settled so well and is enjoying his time there; he’s really flourishing. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your kind words about Ashley House. It is wonderful to hear your father-in-law has settled in so well with us, we really do hope he enjoys his new home. Best wishes, Fae.
The staff are very friendly at Ashley House. It seems like a warm atmosphere and most of the time Mum seems happy. Mum has put on weight and is eating well. She can be difficult at times so patience is needed. Also, because of her disease, she will often get confused. When things are a bit easier we would love her to go on day trips and maybe a few more family activities that we can join as a family.
Always has a very homely feel.
Safe arrangements made to visit Mum in the garden where despite us wearing masks Mum was able to recognise my husband and me. We had a good chat and sing song together (Mum knew all the words!). The staff were very helpful in arranging our visit and made us aware of all the restrictions required to keep everyone safe. Thank you for all your first-class care and getting Mum ready for visit. It has been the best and most rewarding time we have spent with Mum this year.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and for such wonderful feedback. It really is lovely to hear. Best wishes, Fae.

Meet the Team (7)

I have worked in social care for 30 years. I have been in a range of different roles and settings, from Support Worker to Regional Operations Manager.
I am passionate about enriching the lives of our residents. I particularly enjoy building relationships with the family and friends of our residents.
The social aspect at Ashley House is very important and it is always lovely to see friendships emerging within the home and the wider community through our resident activities.

The best bit about my job is working with our residents. They all have stories to tell, and I feel privileged to be able to hear them. I also like the family feel of Ashley House, it does not matter which department you work in we are all working towards the same goal, to ensure our residents are safe and happy.

I love that I enrich lives, and I am able to make a big difference in our residents' lives. It is a very rewarding job.

I enjoy working as a team with laughs and support. I enjoy cooking food for our residents and when they're happy with their meal it makes me happy too!

In my role as a kitchen assistant, I particularly love to cook breakfast for our residents. I also enjoy the time I get to spend chatting with them.

As activities coordinator at Ashley House, I love helping our residents and bringing a smile to their faces. It's so rewarding being a companion, giving them someone to talk to and laugh with.

I love bonding with our residents and staff too. Getting to know our residents' families is also really rewarding.
