Ashley House has the most amazing staff they look after each resident in a loving and caring way.
Excellent care, home from home. Always feel very welcome. Can't fault.
I know I could not give my mother the care and support she is given at the home. Of course she would rather have stayed independent and in her own home or one of her children's homes but it is not possible with the care and attention she needs. We could not do better for her and are made very welcome when we visit.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and will do all they can to help. The home was very helpful and understanding in the early days which was a very stressful time for us all. The atmosphere is always bright and cheerful and feels like home. Mum is always clean and well dressed with her hair and nails regularly done.
Very welcome rest for one week, staff were extremely helpful and very caring. Sometimes difficult as non-dementia resident.
This unit provides care for a number of ladies whose mental capacity have deteriorated and some who also have physical disability. It is readily accessible by visitors and I have always found there are good levels of care. In a unit where there are challenges they bring a lightness of touch and enthusiasm. The overall atmosphere is contentment. The rooms are comfortable and brightened by personal possessions of the residents. No one would volunteer - nor could they not live here - if the need ever arose this may well be as good as it gets.

Meet the Team (7)

I have worked in social care for 30 years. I have been in a range of different roles and settings, from Support Worker to Regional Operations Manager.
I am passionate about enriching the lives of our residents. I particularly enjoy building relationships with the family and friends of our residents.
The social aspect at Ashley House is very important and it is always lovely to see friendships emerging within the home and the wider community through our resident activities.

The best bit about my job is working with our residents. They all have stories to tell, and I feel privileged to be able to hear them. I also like the family feel of Ashley House, it does not matter which department you work in we are all working towards the same goal, to ensure our residents are safe and happy.

I love that I enrich lives, and I am able to make a big difference in our residents' lives. It is a very rewarding job.

I enjoy working as a team with laughs and support. I enjoy cooking food for our residents and when they're happy with their meal it makes me happy too!

In my role as a kitchen assistant, I particularly love to cook breakfast for our residents. I also enjoy the time I get to spend chatting with them.

As activities coordinator at Ashley House, I love helping our residents and bringing a smile to their faces. It's so rewarding being a companion, giving them someone to talk to and laugh with.

I love bonding with our residents and staff too. Getting to know our residents' families is also really rewarding.
