A hairdressing salon offers in-house facilities for all residents.
Belford House’s 42 mostly en-suite rooms, located on two floors, all have garden views and a passenger lift is available. Each room has a television and the option of a private telephone. Wi-Fi is available in all bedrooms and through the home.
Belford House works with local GP surgeries and enjoys excellent links with the community multidisciplinary team. There are many activities on offer within the home in which residents are encouraged to participate to help residents maintain their interests, hobbies and skills.

My mum suffers from Alzheimer's, has been a resident at Belford House for just over one year and I can honestly say I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. Mum settled in very quickly and from day one she has been well cared for. Her dementia is well managed, we feel she has improved physically and mentally due to the social interaction and stimulation of the many activities in which she participates. Mum's appetite varies but the quality of food seems good. A very reasonably priced pre-booked lunch is frequently enjoyed by my 95-year old father when he visits, which again is great for both of them to be able to share a meal together. I live locally and can visit at any time, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and both the manager and deputy manager are available at most times for a chat to discuss any issues or concerns. In my view, Belford House would be very hard to beat!

Mums room is light and airy but she doesn't spend a lot of time there as they have lots of activities going on downstairs. Being able to visit anytime means you can pop whenever it's convenient and if you go in the afternoon there is homemade cake and a cup of tea to be sampled

Mum has settled in really well and staff are always lovely. Mum seems to be very happy at Belford House it's good to know that she is safe and well cared for. The staff have been great at helping us out with paperwork we've needed them to fill in.

I have found that the staff treat my mum as a person, they know her food likes and accommodate for them. They all know her by name and take an interest in her. Medically, she is better than when living alone. Any issues are dealt with quickly and solutions are found.

My Husband went into Belford House in October 2024 It was quite a Traumatic time for all of us but a decision I will never regret, The home is lovely a real Home from Home and I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. When my husband first went in it was a massive change for him and with his Dementia there were some problems but the staff were so patient and careing he soon settled down. There is a real atmospher when you go in, its airy, light, and comfortable. The staff are Happy the residents are happy a place when you feel safe and that is something to be proud of I would not hesitate to recomend Belford House

We visit our elderly neighbour who lives there and hear nothing but good things from him about how friendly everyone is. He looks forward to all the great activities, something different each day - apparently it's like being on a cruise ship. We have been very impressed by how helpful the staff have been when we are visiting and everything seems so clean and looked after. We often bring our young child with us to visit and she absolutely loves it! She always gets really fussed over by the staff and the people who live there. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and it's so homely, certainly not like a stuffy clinical hospital ward which is such a relief. We look forward to our next visit!
