My elderly grandmother has recently moved into Belford House. From initial enquiry we, as family members, have been made to feel supported, always welcome and nothing has been or is too much trouble. My grandmother: 'I like it here, everyone is so friendly, they all work so hard and everyone always has a smile. The food is lovely, I can't always remember what I have eaten, but I know it was tasty! I like having company, I sleep so much better at night, someone checks on me. I have a beautiful room.' The difference within my grandmother is just wonderful to see, she is so much more animated, has more conversation and is actively choosing to spend time with her friends in the lovely big lounge area. It is clear to see that every staff member of Belford House share the same values of treating the residents with the highest level of respect whilst delivering excellent care in a lovely, homely and comfortable environment. Thank you to everyone at Belford House.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. It is great to receive these kind words and your grandmother's feelings on Belford House and the staff are wonderful to hear. We are very happy to hear how supported you feel as a family. The well-being of our residents is of utmost...
Thank you to all the staff at Belford House who cared so well for my relative. What a fantastic place to stay and enjoy those later years. Staff are kind and show compassion. So much thought and love is shown to the residents. The home is well run, excellent management. Staff are well trained, caring and professional. The home is always lovely and clean. On arrival, one is greeted by a member of the team. Signing in at reception is all automated and very straightforward. On numerous occasions after visiting my relative, I have been offered a drink or meal too. Birthdays have been made very special with the chef providing a cake for all to enjoy. My relative has been extremely happy staying there. Very happy to join in activities, especially the singing and dancing when the opportunity arises.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. We are very happy to hear that your loved one was cared for so well and that you were made to feel at home too when you visited. The well-being of our residents is of utmost importance to us at Hartford Care and making birthdays special and...
I have been very impressed with the care that my mother receives at Belford House. The staff really care and the home feels homely, welcoming and well run. The rooms can be personalised to the resident and are kept clean. It’s really hard making the decision to put a loved one in a home, but when caring at home becomes too hard, I can’t recommend this place enough. It has and is the right place for my mother. Thank you all.
We are so pleased to hear how happy you are with the care your mother receives at Belford House. We appreciate how hard it is to make the decision to move a loved one into a care home and we pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming, friendly homes and are glad that has not gone unnoticed. We will...
After viewing many care homes in the area, we decided on Belford House because of their willingness to take Dad out for a short walk each day. Which was one of the few remaining activities he took any enjoyment in. I feel the whole team went above and beyond to engage the residents in familiar activities, even though Dad could be tricky at times they dealt with the issues as they arose in a professional manner. We visited Dad several times a week and mostly saw him in the small lounge, which is a bright and comfortable room, including the provision of self serve coffee. We were made to feel welcome and staff were always willing to give a catch up on Dad's situation. What we didn't fully appreciate at the start, is how caring the whole team are, even the cleaners and catering staff. Our email queries were dealt with immediately and Dad's health was monitored and his care adjusted accordingly right up to and particularly in his last days.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased you were happy with the level of care provided by the whole team at Belford House. It was our privilege to care for your father and ensure he continued to do the things he loved for as long as he could. We shall pass on your kind words to the team. Warm wishes to you and your family.
My husband has been a resident at Belford House Care Home for ten months and during this time he has been treated with much care and compassion by all the staff. This was highlighted when he broke his femur and required extra care and attention. Liaison with relatives is excellent.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We will pass this on to all the staff at Belford House who I am sure will be very pleased to hear how their hard work and dedication are making your husband's stay at Belford House an enjoyable and comfortable one.
My mum has been in Belford House Care Home for over five years and is now at the end of her life. It is hard to put into words how deeply grateful we are, as a family, for the kind and sensitive care they have given her during these last difficult months. She arrived in July 2018 with Parkinson’s disease and has slowly gone downhill ever since. The staff have been tirelessly supportive and kind to her (and to her family and friends) throughout the five years that she has counted Belford House as her home. It is a spotlessly clean, homely, caring environment and we could not wish for more care for our mum in the twilight of her life.
I am so pleased that you are happy with the care and support we have the privilege to provide for your mum. As always, we are grateful for your kind words and review which I will share with all staff at Belford House. Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely words with us.
Mum moved to Belford House from another care home many miles away. She has settled really well, as a result of the friendly, caring and supportive staff. There is always a smile, and staff have quickly learned Mum's foibles persuading her to get involved in activities. She loves her food, and the chef provides some great meals and is always mindful of Mum's dietary needs. Belford House has a family feel, visitors are welcomed, and staff are always available to talk to. Any medical needs have been swiftly addressed, and one member of staff has a good understanding of residents' needs. We are really pleased that Mum has come to live at Belford House and would recommend it to others.
It's great to hear that your Mum has settled so well at Belford House, following her transition from another care home, and that you're both so happy with your decision. We're really proud of our teams and feedback like yours is so gratefully received - thank you so much for taking the time and...
They all have a " can do" attitude which meant that nothing was too much trouble, especially when it came down to the individual care of the resident. I would recommend Belford House to any person considering full/ part-time care as it is a difficult time for family and residents alike, to have to make that decision, but taking in the people, the atmosphere and the surroundings makes that decision much easier.
We are deeply sorry for the loss of your father, it was our absolute pleasure to care for him and we share your sadness in his passing. We are extremely grateful for your kind words about Belford House and our team and thank you for trusting us with his care.
My mum was at Belford House for about six months before she sadly passed away. I had big concerns when we decided she needed full-time care, but the wonderful staff at Belford House, led by the manager, did a fantastic job of both easing her into her new way of life and filling her days while she stayed. The staff were always very, very helpful, and it felt like nothing was too much. My mum was a gregarious character, which the staff quickly recognised. Overall, a truly caring, uplifting environment which gave me confidence my mum was in the best, safest hands in her final stage of life. Thank you all!
Thank you so much for your very kind words about Belford House. Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of your mum. It was a pleasure for us to care for her and to support her in helping her to live her best life with us. We will pass on your thanks to Belford's manager and all the team who cared for her.
My mother has been a resident at Belford House for over 2 years. It is a very caring home with excellent friendly staff who are genuinely interested in the care and needs of our Mum. The staff are always helpful and informative in dealing with any queries we have had. Mum feels secure there and is always reassured by both the Junior and Senior staff when she is feeling anxious. There are many varied activities on offer and family events when Covid allows. The GP practice attached to Belford also seems to be very efficient. Overall Belford House feels like a big family-run home which is so important to us for our Mum. Thank you to everyone at Belford House for looking after Mum.
What lovely words about Belford House. It is our pleasure to care for your mother and have you as part of our happy Belford family We shall share your review with all the team members who are looking after your mother.
The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. My mother-in-law was treated with respect, dignity and importantly a very high standard of care from all.
The care staff ensured her last few days were comfortable, in a lovely caring environment. She even had the opportunity to see her much loved dog before she died. As a family, we can not thank the staff enough for all they did.
Thank you very much for your wonderful words about Belford House. We all share your sorrow on the loss of your mother-in-law who we shall miss very much. We will share your thanks and appreciation with all our caring team who looked after her.
My Dad is now there by himself and has early-stage dementia and I couldn’t wish for a better Care home for him to be in as they treat him like he is family and it’s so much more homely than the last Care home they were in.
Thank you for your kind words. It was an absolute pleasure to look after your parents and now your dad. Your Mum was a lovely lady and their marriage an absolute inspiration to all of us at Belford House.
Mum was very worried about going into residential care. Having looked at other care homes in the area, I knew Belford House was the one. The manager and staff were welcoming, and with full PPE and testing negative, allowed me to speak to a resident about the home. Mum moved in at the end of July. She has been happy here since day one. She told me the staff are always kind, caring helpful and great fun. She feels like she has known them for years, and being shy, they always ensure she feels included in the many activities they have. She said she is happy we chose Belford House for her. Thank you to the whole team.
What a wonderful review of Belford House. We really appreciate your lovely words. We are delighted to have your Mum here and much of that is down to the information you, her family, provided us about her that enabled us to tailor our approach to be as person-centred as possible and make her feel at home with us.
My mother has been into Belford House twice now for respite care. Each time she has been, her health and strength seem to improve; she is more alert. The staff are all very friendly and caring.
Thank you for your lovely words about Belford House. We really enjoy looking after your mother and we are so glad we can make such a difference to her well-being during her respite stays with us.
Like the care home, and staff are lovely.
Thank you for your fantastic review of Belford House. It is our pleasure to look after you and we are delighted you are so happy in our care.
Very happy home - company, food and staff.
What a lovely review of Belford House. We are delighted to have you as part of our very special family and will ensure everybody sees your wonderful words about them.
The staff are very nice and helpful.
The food is very good; I enjoy it.
What lovely words about Belford House. It is our pleasure to care for you and have you as part of our Belford family. We shall let everyone, including the chefs, know how much you appreciate everything they are doing for you.
My mother has been at Belford House for about 3 months. Her general health has improved, together with an increase in her mobility. Mum particularly enjoys participating in the activities and outings. The staff are caring and seem really interested in getting to know and understand the residents.
What a wonderful review of Belford House. It is our pleasure to look after your mother, and it is a joy to see her thriving in our care. We are so glad to have you as part of our Belford family - and we shall let our brilliant staff know how much you appreciate the support they are giving her.
My husband has been a resident at Belford House for eighteen months. The care he received throughout his time has been excellent. Staff were always caring particularly for his last few difficult months when nothing was too much trouble. He was treated with dignity right to the end. During Covid, visiting was difficult but when possible they bent over backwards to allow visitors in. I have no hesitation in recommending Belford House.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and recommendation of Belford House. It was a great pleasure to look after your husband. He will be remembered by all of us for his great sense of humour.
This is due to Covid.
Thank you for your kind comments about Belford House. We look forward to welcoming you into our lovely, friendly home so that you can see how good we really are!
