My husband was admitted to Milkwood House Care Home for safe care as he suffers from Alzheimer's disease. His welcome on his first day was very welcoming. He appeared to settle fairly well initially, then more settled and I was able to settle after a few weeks after the ability to be able to discuss his on-going care. His care was maintained at a good standard. In his latter weeks it was obvious he was very unwell and received end of life care, this was of a very good standard. From the holistic care approach including district nurses, Gp's and spiritually the local minister from Liss. This for me was very comforting overall. Thank you.
I cannot praise the staff and manager enough for the care they gave to my father. He had vascular dementia and was treated with the love and care that family would give, but also with the most professional medical care and in a completely secure environment that we could not give him at home. During his last days, the staff and the manager provided the most incredible care and helped ease his pain. Thank you!
The response time to the doorbell was swift. We were able to walk through the home to find our resident. There were sufficient chairs and space for us to socialise well. We are provided with everything we requested coffee, glasses and biscuits. Staff are always helpful and obliging.
After much searching for a suitable home for my mother, I stumbled across Milkwood House. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and patients/residents seemed to adore the manager - she had time for everyone and patience.
My wife, daughter and I have been visiting my Dad daily while we have stayed in Petersfield with my Mum (we all live overseas). We have all been impressed by the standard of care which you afford to my Dad and from what I have observed, to other residents as well. Thank you so much for what you are doing.
They are always on hand and are never too busy to stop and talk to/reassure residents.
Everyone is very caring.
The activities are varied and the resident I am responsible for really enjoys them and talks about them - they stimulate her.
Management has gone out of their way to get her room exactly how she wants it and to arrange one-to-one outings.
The whole service and care is first class. No complaints what so ever. Highly recommended.
Milkwood House is always welcoming. The staff are always friendly and seem to genuinely care for the residents. I've only had experience of one other care home that one was appalling so to find this is great.
We find the staff very friendly and helpful and always in good spirits.
This care home only looked after my mother-in-law for 3 weeks before she sadly passed away. Those 3 weeks meant the world to me because I knew she was safe and being looked after properly. We only wish that we had placed her here back in April, where maybe with their amazing activities schedule and amazing staff, they would have given us more happy memories.
These people truly care.
I have been here for 9 months now and am happy and well looked after, warm and well fed. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
