My mother was cared for extremely well and the staff were very patient and understanding when she showed emotion and worry about her health and circumstances. Her final days in the home were second to none. The staff were a constant support to the patient and her family and her care was outstanding.

One of the most difficult choices to make is to find the right care home for your parent. From the initial phone call through to my first visit and making the decision that Wimborne would provide the most suitable care was a positive journey. Six months on my parents have received kindness, respect, excellent care and accommodation and overall a happy atmosphere for both residents and families when visiting. To all of the staff at Wimborne, I thank you.

Mum is always clean and well dressed and she enjoys the interactions from all the staff when they walk by and call out to her. She especially enjoys music when they either have a visiting singer or the activity lady turns the tele off and plays music.

Many thanks for your review. There are new activities involving music and dance that our Activities Co-ordinator has been arranging, I hope that Mum will enjoy these.

My wife suffers from dementia and has been in Wimborne Care Home for 16 months. I visit her every day and find she is being looked after with a caring and dedicated staff who treat her with great respect and dignity and I have nothing but praise for all of them who are doing a different and worthwhile job. The gardens are kept in great order and her private room is always clean and warm. The food is of the highest quality and is always served in a friendly atmosphere. All in all, it is like one happy family.

The only element that I would suggest would be a locked cupboard for any valuables/purses and the staff and daughter keep a key. Other than that, this home is absolutely amazing and the staff are so very kind and caring to my mother.

My mum lived here for 9 months before she returned to Wales. The care she received was outstanding, she felt she was on holiday and said it was the loveliest place she had ever stayed and the staff were so lovely with her.

The activities staff are exceptional, they knew exactly what mum liked doing and always went out of their way to make sure she was as occupied as possible. The food was outstanding and so well presented, the residents were treated like five star hotel guests.

The team at Wimbourne took superb care of my stepmother, from her early stage Alzheimers disease, up to the end of life, a period of two years.

The level of caring offered to her was excellent, universally through the full Wimbourne team. They have my heartfelt thanks and those of the whole family for their loving care given.

My mother has been a resident here for 3 years and is now 106 years old.
She has always been treated with kindness and dignity and the staff enjoy looking after her.
She is no longer mobile and staff are always popping in and out of her room to check her.
She always eats her food that is carefully prepared for her and has to be fed.
I visited many care homes and chose very carefully and have not been disappointed.
All the staff are very kind and appear to enjoy looking after her.

I am so lucky and so is she!

It is a relief to know that my relative is being well looked after by caring and considerate staff. She first moved into the home three years ago at the fine age of 103. The fact that she is still with us now 106 is a testimony to the excellent care she has received from everybody at the home.

I joined Wimborne 4 years ago. Working in the kitchen in Wimborne is where I found my absolute passion for cooking.

I have worked up to Head Chef, and I really enjoy getting to know our residents, their preferences and providing nutritious and completely delicious food.

I also greatly enjoy our weekly baking club, where I interact more with the residents. We host great parties and special events here at Wimborne, and I have these culinary challenges. I'm always keen to try new things and residents are happy to too.

I've asked our residents what their favourites of my cooking are for my profile, and they have said my Viennese whirls are pretty exceptional, as are my roasts and puddings!

I'm the 'hostess with the mostess'! I help residents with their enjoyment of life, from simple things like ensuring everything is ready for them at meal times to the important things like making sure the right thing happens at the right time in the right place. I know how everyone likes everything and has a keen eye for detail.

I get joy from making people happy, and here, both residents and staff are so kind, all do so appreciate the help, and it is wonderful to feel so valued by everyone.

My experience of working here at Wimborne has been just fantastic, so much so that I'm often in during my own time, and a personal highlight has been a Jive night recently, when I had the great pleasure of dancing with so many of our residents in a real 'night to remember'.
