Overall Experience

The staff are excellent - really helpful and courteous. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. I would recommend unreservedly for a person who is physically frail and has some short term memory loss. The home seems to be to treat every resident as a whole person.

My mother has been resident for 12 years. For much of this period she has been bedridden. I have always found her care impeccable and of the highest quality. She has had all the appropriate care including a water bed.

Review from Anthony P (Friend of Resident) published on 6 June 2016 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My friend moved into Woodpeckers in December 2015, initially for respite care following a period on hospital. He was immediately taken with the home and declared he never wanted to leave. Unfortunately his health continues to deteriorate and he became increasingly unable to participate in activities. He had further sojourns in hospital and his diet became difficult.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. My friend was most appreciative to the end. He died on the 21st of May, staff caring for him to the end.
