I cannot say enough about this wonderful care home, the staff are all amazing, nothing is too much trouble, I only wish we found this care home in the beginning, my mum is really at the end of her life with Dementia and we as a family know she is getting the best care.

As with any decision of this magnitude, it is extremely difficult to put yourself in a loved one's shoes and decide whether a care home will be suitable for all their needs. I have to say, from the moment we were shown around the home to when my father arrived we were kept informed with the staff taking
their time to fully explain all the questions we had. The care home was pleasantly laid out with separate units for each group of residents each with their own lounge, dining area and individual rooms. The home was clean, brightly lit and felt comfortable to be in. Whenever any questions arose the staff always responded quickly and took the time to discuss any areas of concern. Perhaps, the most rewarding of all was the way the staff treated my father with dignity, caring and in looking after his needs. They were always courteous, helpful and demonstrated a happy and positive mindset. Well done to Ashwood Care Home!

It is such a hard decision to make when you have to place a parent in care. But please put any preconceived negative thoughts aside, Ashwood is the best place to choose to place a loved one. The level of care is amazing, I have seen firsthand the genuine care and dedication my mother and other residents
receive. You may feel anxious when you first visit a loved one, but I promise you that you will leave feeling that they are well cared for and looked after. You can ring the home anytime to check on how your loved one is getting on, and the staff know straight away how they are doing, they are all invested in each resident. It's clean, bright and spacious, and doesn't smell, has lovely outdoor space, and the team are always organising events, crafts etc. They go above and beyond and take the worry away. Can't praise Ashwood enough. Thank you.

My mum has lived at Ashwood since the start of covid in 2020. These were challenging times for the staff. Over the last 2 years, I have found all the staff to be caring and friendly and try their hardest to reassure the people that live there. It feels like a family environment and it makes leaving
your loved one a little easier when you feel that they are being well cared for.

My Mum has been in Ashwood since November 2021, she settled in quite quickly and all the staff have been very friendly and caring. It was so nice to be back in the home after a lockdown recently due to a Covid outbreak. The home was swift to respond and very diligent in working to rid the home of infections. They kept the family up to date and welcomed us all back once they re-opened. The staff know every resident and their needs
and likes and keeps me well informed if there are any issues. I feel able to relax knowing she is so well looked after.

My father-in-law stayed at Ashwood for Christmas and New Year. It was his first experience of residential care and he absolutely loved it. He is still talking about the lovely staff, residents, and food. He compares it to a first-class hotel and enjoyed all the activities and socialising that he was
able to engage with. He left feeling refreshed and very much cared for, both physically, loving the bubble bath and emotionally, as he felt safe and valued. As his visiting family, we could see how happy he was here and how much he was respected with dignity. He would love to return if needed and we would feel he would be cared for as we and he would wish.

I found Ashwood very warm and welcoming when I was looking for somewhere for my mother. Mum has since transferred to the home and has settled in nicely. The staff are always kind and approachable. The rooms are nice and the home is always clean and tidy.

My Nan has been a resident at Ashwood for around 5 months now, and I really couldn’t be more grateful to the lovely, friendly, helpful carers here. Any questions, worries, etc I’ve had I’ve always been helped and reassured and been able to contact whenever needed. With everything covid related going

When it was mentioned Nan might be going into a home we had our reservations. The staff guided both Nan and ourselves through what could have been a really difficult and distressing time (for us all). Now seeing how settled and looked after (and loved) by the team at Ashwood has proved that this was
the right decision. Nan has made some lovely friends and has an amazing bond with the kind and caring team. Nothing is too much for them and the love they give to Nan goes a long way. As always, the various staff members have been helpful and accommodating. This is particularly noticeable in these times of coronavirus where they are under even greater pressure. My mother, a dementia sufferer, always seems happy and well-looked after.

My mum has been a permanent resident here for almost a year. Prior to her admission, she had a few respite stays in Ashwood. We, as a family, are delighted with the care, attention, and kindness shown to our mum and cannot recommend it highly enough. We know how difficult and challenging it can be to

I have worked in the care industry for over 12 years and worked in Domiciliary care and for the NHS before joining the Ashwood family. I have worked at Ashwood for nearly 8 years in various roles, and I am so proud to work here. Runwood has enabled me to complete my NVQ 2 and 3 as well as many other qualifications.

Before my employment with Ashwood, I worked in hospitality in 2006, where I gained knowledge and understanding of all aspects surrounding the sector. In 2017 I decided I wanted to try something new and different, and I chose the care sector to start this new chapter of my working life. In 2017 I joined Ashwood as an administrator, where I have gained knowledge and understanding of the care sector. During my time here at Ashwood, I feel like I am part of a family. I have a degree in art and enjoy using my flair for art and design within the home.

I started at Ashwood 4 years ago as a domestic and soon progressed to Head Housekeeper. I enjoy the interaction with residents and love listening to their life stories so much. I have a hands-on approach and help with laundry and care, and have been known to help in the kitchen too.
