Greenhill Care Home

My mother-in-law is there and she is so happy. The staff can't do enough for them and when we visit we always get a cup of tea. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are lovely, always clean I would recommend it. Had a Christmas party which I went to and enjoyed put on a good spread of food for all the residents and the families. Great place.

My second respite stay at Greenhill. Brilliant staff and management. Nothing is too much trouble, very caring, professional and always cheerful. Food is varied and good, grounds are fantastic. Thanks for a great stay. Best staff ever!

We were very happy with the care we received for my Dad whilst at Greenhill. The carers were all amazing and looked after my dad so well. My special thanks to the lady (who he loved especially) and to the man he liked. My only criticism was I would have liked to be kept informed of doctors' visits - what happened and told when the doctor was seeing Dad - so I could choose to be present if I wanted to and given feedback at least afterwards.

During my respite three week stay, staff were excellent in all ways. Friendly, caring and attentive but not pushy and treated all residents (many with differing abilities) with respect and kindness. They made the home as near a 'home' as possible. Quality and choice of food was good. Lovely grounds and gardens with lots of seating. Facilities were good, although an additional lift would be useful. Staff were professional and organised and the home is well managed. I have no complaints and thank everyone who made my stay there safe, pleasant and comfortable.

My mother, who recently passed away, was a resident for 30 months, and during that period, the care she received was excellent. The management and staff were both caring and efficient and treated her with respect. I would have no doubt about recommending the home to anyone who asks.

We would thoroughly recommend Greenhill Care Home for your loved one. In Mum's time at Greenhill (four and a half years), she was treated with the utmost respect. Although she suffered from severe dementia and was unable to speak, we could always tell that she was happy there. We cannot thank enough the wonderful staff and team for their care and dedication.

Mum was admitted to the home with dementia four years ago. She settled in very quickly with the help and support of your lovely staff, many of whom have been there for years. Pre-Covid, Mum was very active and enjoyed the activities, especially those of a musical nature. In the last year, Mum has become physically frail and was increasingly dependent on the staff to look after her. They were always kind and Mum loved them and personal care was good and administered with good humour. As a family, we are very happy with the home. In Mum's last few days, we were there at her bedside constantly, day and night. The staff were kindness itself to us. They kept us 'fed and watered' and comforted us when Mum sadly passed away. It only reinforced our opinion that Greenhill Care Home was the right choice for our lovely mum in 2018/

My mother spent the last six months of her life at Greenhill Care Home and she was always treated with kindness and respect. The staff are all very caring even in sometimes difficult situations and looked after us as a family as well as my mum. I couldn't fault Greenhill at all and would recommend it to anyone.

There was always someone on hand for a chat when she was lonely and was well looked after when her health was failing. I really thank the management, staff and carers for making Mum feel that she was at home.

My wife was accepted to Greenhill Care Home in April 2020 and sadly passed away in October 2022. At first, it was difficult as Covid hit us and I cannot fault the staff who cared for her when she caught it and nursed her back to health. She was so happy and we were happy with the care and love they gave to her. I would recommend the care home to anyone that asked me.

My mother received wonderful care while she was at Greenhill Care Home. She was safe, happy and contented. The staff were amazing and treated her with compassion and respect. They were always helpful and professional. The beautiful gardens were a lovely, calm and relaxing place to sit with her. Our family will always be grateful that my mother was looked after so well in the last moments of her life.

Great consideration and care were taken in the days before my mother died. A vicar was asked to say prayers over her as she regularly attended service while in the home. The staff were excellent, even in the most difficult of circumstances.

This care home is well organised and the staff are extremely caring and professional. My mother was very well looked after and my relatives and I were always treated with respect and welcomed. When my mother needed extra care and attention the staff rose to the occasion and provided the additional care without question.

My mother was sadly only able to enjoy Greenhill for four months before she passed away but during that time she was very well cared for by the professional and affectionate staff. I was always kept informed about any health issues and my visits were welcomed. Communication with my mother wasn't always easy as there are no dedicated resident phones, but with the help of the staff, we did finally find a solution, which however was short-lived.

I looked at nine care homes before I chose Greenhill Care Home. From the moment I walked in and met the manager, I knew this was the place for my mum. The staff are angels, some of them have been there for years - something that is very important for dementia residents as continuity and recognising those around them really helps. The home is lovely, the bedrooms are on the small side but the residents are encouraged to be downstairs in the lounges/dining room area during the day so the bedrooms are just for the evenings/sleeping in. Greenhill definitely extended my mum's life - she was safe, cared for and well looked after right to the very end.

You are always apprehensive when placing someone into care, but from the first time I drove my dad through the gate in July 2021 until his passing in May 2022, I have never looked back. The manageress and all the staff I have met there have been exceptional. They are always courteous, caring, professional and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. It is a clean, secure, caring environment set within lovely gardens. During the pandemic, with the extra stress of restricted visits and PPE, the home was managed impeccably. I cannot praise Greenhill Care Home enough; their level of care for my dad has been outstanding. The care, friendliness, facilities, and service I have experienced during my dad’s stay has been faultless. At no time have I had cause for complaint, and it has left me in no doubt I made the right choice. I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenhill to anyone. On behalf of all my family, I would like to thank everyone at Greenhill for making my dad’s latter months in life.

Greenhill Care Home provided great care from start to finish. Particular credit to the team in the dementia unit. My mum was always treated with kindness, attention and respect. The glorious gardens provided a real lift on many occasions too!
