My Aunt spent just over a year at Greenbanks where she was treated with care and dignity at all times. She enjoyed the food to an extent where she put weight on - 2 dress sizes. The staff were all friendly and helpful. She was lucky that she had a lovely bright room. Would recommend the home to others.

It was ok staying at Greenbanks. The food was good and it was nice having a TV in the room. The only disadvantage was that I was not allowed to do any walking there.

Greenbanks has always been extremely supportive of my grandma's care. I am always up to date with medical, her wellbeing and health as well as any financial matters. Greenbanks is always clean and the staff are polite and respectful. They give great care to my grandmother and I am at peace knowing that
she is safe.

My brother has been a resident at Greenbanks for over 4 1/2 years. He has vascular dementia and can be rude and aggressive at times. The staff especially senior nurse have been professional and cooperative at all times. The manager is, in my opinion, excellent and runs a very well organised establishment.
I would like to thank all the staff for the care and dedication they show to my brother.

The care at Greenbanks Care Home has been very good for my relative, whom has been a resident for quite a number of years. There has been a few changes over the years with staff, but overall my relative has been very lucky to have had a number of small changes. Greenbanks is lovely and warm in winter
and feel fortunate enough to have a garden in the summer. Overall very pleased with most aspects of the home, All staff were really good over the Christmas period and have recently celebrated Chinese New Year within the home which was very enjoyable.

My mum was at Greenbanks for 3 years. She loved the place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help.
Always there was a smiling face on reception, which continued through Greenbanks. Management was excellent same as staff.
Only one thing, the place needs to be upgraded.

My father was transferred to Greenbanks from home in December 2018 for respite care. On arrival, we found the staff welcoming and reception area was calming with piped music playing. My father was taken immediately to his room which was large and well appointed with its furniture and had an en-suite
toilet facility. The room was pleasantly decorated and very clean. During his stay, the staff have all been kind and compassionate, very caring and always had a smile on their face.

Good care provider, cleanliness is very good and staff friendly. The only downside I experience is staff are often too busy to give you the time necessary to discuss your parent and their needs, and general communication back to the family could be better. Activities for the residents on a daily basis
appears sparse, often left sitting in the dayroom in front of the TV. Maybe it’s the day/time of day that I visit?

I was very worried about my mum going into residential care and it was quite a dramatic transition for a lot of reasons, but my mum started to improve generally (apart from dementia) not long after moving to Greenbanks. She is also clean and well fed and the staff are polite and attentive to her needs.
After a very stressful few years, I no longer have to worry about my mum's welfare and I have peace of mind that she is in the right place, being cared for properly by people with the right training and expertise.

My father is new to Greenbanks. He first walked through the door three weeks ago, and the change in him in that short space of time is incredible. He has gone from spending 22/23 hours a day in bed, not eating; to walking around his new environment, sitting in the lovely garden, making lots of new friends
and eating regularly. The activities coordinator even found someone to play chess with him.


My dad's room is lovely, it was all newly painted ready for him. Carpets look new as does the furniture.


Staff have made a real effort to get to know my dad.


There is a genuine care shown to the people and the buildings and facilities. Everything is kept clean and smelling fresh.


The only reason I have slightly marked down on facilities is that there is no internet signal in my Dad's room. Having said that, staff have been very co-operative with my requests to try a signal booster.


My dad is absolutely delighted with his new home, as are we, his family.

We only have good things to say; the staff are caring and very patient, they show tremendous kindness to my father.

My mother has only been at the care home for a short period of time and all the staff have made the transition very easy for her. She feels safe and well looked after and they made her feel very welcome.


The staff are very kind and helpful. Not only to my mother but myself too. The accommodation

My name is Catherine Emekwuo, I joined Greenbanks as the Home Manager effective July 2024. I am a Registered Nurse and also trained as a midwife. I have been a nurse for 24 years and have worked in the care industry for the past 21 years across various roles. I started as a Health care assistant and progressed to a Home Manager. I am proud to be leading the team at Greenbanks in making a positive difference in the lives of our residents by providing exceptional care.

I joined Greenbanks in May 2025 as Deputy Manager, bringing with me a background in bookkeeping, credit control, and customer service. Although I didn’t pursue a medical career, my passion for making a difference inspired me to move into the social care sector in April 2019. Soon after, I was proud to be nominated as Employee of the Month—a recognition that encouraged and motivated me to continue growing in this field.

My name is Arnell and I have worked in Care since 2002. I started as a Maintenance support, and then I took on a new challenge and became a Care Assistant completed my level 3 in Adult Care and progressed to be a Senior Care Assistant. Alongside this, I have also worked as a Head Housekeeper in a care home, before moving to Greenbanks in 2023 as the Maintenance Operative. I love chatting with residents while I'm doing my job and working with them to make their bedrooms more person-centred and homely.
