My mom admitted to Greenbanks in May 2020. Staff have done exactly what they told us and took extra care with my mom. I am impressed with the level of care and attention to detail, especially regarding residents safety in these uncertain times. All staff go above and beyond to show kindness, consideration and empathy. The management team is amazing and very kind. They are the best in all aspect.

From the moment our beloved mother entered Greenbanks she was made to feel like family. Dementia care is exceptional, and they are treated with respect and dignity always. The range of activities and a lively friendly atmosphere, ensure that all residents feel like they are in a warm and loving home. The staff really knew and loved our Mum, and we formed amazing relationships with them over the three years that Mum was there. They knew her likes and dislikes, loved her humour and made sure she was well looked after. Our visits were fun and uplifting, and it made a difference knowing that when we left that she was in safe hands. Thank you, to the manager and all of your team, especially, six members of staff, for making her final year's happy ones.

My Aunt spent just over a year at Greenbanks where she was treated with care and dignity at all times. She enjoyed the food to an extent where she put weight on - 2 dress sizes. The staff were all friendly and helpful. She was lucky that she had a lovely bright room. Would recommend the home to others.

It was ok staying at Greenbanks. The food was good and it was nice having a TV in the room. The only disadvantage was that I was not allowed to do any walking there.

My brother has been a resident at Greenbanks for over 4 1/2 years. He has vascular dementia and can be rude and aggressive at times. The staff especially senior nurse have been professional and cooperative at all times. The manager is, in my opinion, excellent and runs a very well organised establishment. I would like to thank all the staff for the care and dedication they show to my brother.

The care at Greenbanks Care Home has been very good for my relative, whom has been a resident for quite a number of years. There has been a few changes over the years with staff, but overall my relative has been very lucky to have had a number of small changes. Greenbanks is lovely and warm in winter and feel fortunate enough to have a garden in the summer. Overall very pleased with most aspects of the home, All staff were really good over the Christmas period and have recently celebrated Chinese New Year within the home which was very enjoyable.

My mum was at Greenbanks for 3 years. She loved the place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help.
Always there was a smiling face on reception, which continued through Greenbanks. Management was excellent same as staff.

Only one thing, the place needs to be upgraded.

My father was transferred to Greenbanks from home in December 2018 for respite care. On arrival, we found the staff welcoming and reception area was calming with piped music playing. My father was taken immediately to his room which was large and well appointed with its furniture and had an en-suite toilet facility. The room was pleasantly decorated and very clean. During his stay, the staff have all been kind and compassionate, very caring and always had a smile on their face.

Review from Steve B (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 29 October 2018 Submitted via Website

Good care provider, cleanliness is very good and staff friendly. The only downside I experience is staff are often too busy to give you the time necessary to discuss your parent and their needs, and general communication back to the family could be better. Activities for the residents on a daily basis appears sparse, often left sitting in the dayroom in front of the TV. Maybe it’s the day/time of day that I visit?
