Greenbanks is a 66-bed purpose built home with a warm and friendly atmosphere, providing expert care for older people, including those living with Dementia. It is situated in the heart of the community in Watford, only a 7-minute drive to the Warner Bros. Studio, and a 12-minute drive to the town centre, but still benefits from a calm and quiet location.

My father has been a client at the day care centre for the last few years and recently began attending Greenbanks full time.
We only have good things to say; the staff are caring and very patient, they show tremendous kindness to my father.
The facilities are clean, well furnished with a very nice
atmosphere. I totally recommend!

My mother has only been at the care home for a short period of time and all the staff have made the transition very easy for her. She feels safe and well looked after and they made her feel very welcome.


The staff are very kind and helpful. Not only to my mother but myself too. The accommodation

is always clean and well kept. They also encourage residents to make their rooms their own little piece of home.

More English dinners as residents are nearly all old English people who prefer English food as they are not used to foreign dishes.

Mum is well cared for and treated with respect. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming and very helpful to us and assisting mums needs. The manager and her staff are all very helpful and keep us updated on a regular basis. Mum is happy here and now regards it as her home.

My mum is suffering from a bedsore, she has had it since January this year. I am very pleased with the way she has been cared for and the way I have been kept me informed of her progress. I have been very pleased with the care that has been provided since my mum has been staying here.

Greenbanks Care Home is very well managed and has friendly, helpful staff. Nursing care is good and I am happy for my mother to be here. It is fairly local for my visits and is very clean and tidy.

Visited elderly aunt, who was admitted early in September 2016. The aunt was reluctant to give up her "independence" but every effort was made to feel her welcome and introduce her to other residents. We were encouraged to bring her own personal effects (T.V, photo's knick-knacks etc.) to make her delightful
room feel more familiar. Thanks to this she is now feeling very comfortable and becoming more sociable with other residents. This home is very well staffed, with friendly, helpful care assistants always on hand. A very varied program of activities are available morning and afternoon, and residents are encouraged to join in.

My Dad moved into Greenbanks in Nov 2015, he attended a day centre for several months and needed extra care & to be safe due to Alzheimer's, so we chose Greenbanks which is opposite the day centre. The staff are friendly and caring, the home is really open and you can visit at any time. Sadly my dad
had to leave Greenbanks and go into hospital. We really miss the home and its friendly homely feel. I would recommend "Greenbanks".

My name is Catherine Emekwuo, I joined Greenbanks as the Home Manager effective July 2024. I am a Registered Nurse and also trained as a midwife. I have been a nurse for 24 years and have worked in the care industry for the past 21 years across various roles. I started as a Health care assistant and progressed to a Home Manager. I am proud to be leading the team at Greenbanks in making a positive difference in the lives of our residents by providing exceptional care.

My name is Trina and I have worked in Greenbanks for the last 18 years. I started my career in this industry over 30 years ago and started as a carer before working my way up, and I have also managed a Day Centre.


I have experience working with people with Dementia, challenging behaviours, Nursing care and a short time in rehabilitation of those who have had frequent falls. I love the different challenges that each day brings.

My name is Arnell and I have worked in Care since 2002. I started as a Maintenance support, and then I took on a new challenge and became a Care Assistant completed my level 3 in Adult Care and progressed to be a Senior Care Assistant. Alongside this, I have also worked as a Head Housekeeper in a care home, before moving to Greenbanks in 2023 as the Maintenance Operative. I love chatting with residents while I'm doing my job and working with them to make their bedrooms more person-centred and homely.
