My sister came to you, and the change in her has been amazing. She's put on weight, is eating better, takes an interest in everything and joins in activities. She is not so depressed any more. I found Anson Court an excellent place. The care is of a very high standard, the staff are lovely, they are like a second family, and nothing is too much trouble. This care home should be proud of what it has, a loving place

Reply from Debbie Gilard, Head of Corporate Services at Anson Court

The care home is clean and very friendly. The food is good. The staff try to ensure residents' food preferences in stock. My mother only likes peppermint tea, and this was ordered especially for her. I have found everyone approachable and keen to iron out any problems. When mum had a fall. They were quick to inform us and keep us posted along with additional plans to reduce the chances of it happening again. The new manager Coni is a good resource, with lots of experience, and effective in her role. I have nothing negative to say.

Beautiful place, my mum unfortunately passed there. The staff genuinely care about the people who, are there. My mum liked it there the staff are professional and subtle in equal measures. ConnI and lovely team sacrificed days off and ends of shifts to come and say farewell well to our beautiful mum. Mum will be missed by us all

Was able to get my dad into Anson very quickly. The staff were really lovely, caring and made us feel he was very safe.

He spent 3 weeks getting better. The food is 10/10, he's regained weight and looks so well. Nothing is too much trouble, and staff very quick to deal with any health concerns.

Conni, the new manager, has been amazing and shows that she really cares for the residents. She spoke to mum soon after arriving and asked her needs etc; she is so lovely with mum. She dances and sings with the residents and always has a kind word for residents and their families, she is involved and often walks around and talks to the residents. The senior carers always action any issues and there are lots of activities which the residents are encouraged to join. The gardens are lovely and there are some special carers who make a difference. It's a vibrant, happy care home with a bright cafe , lovely cake and plenty of smiles.

Reply from John Joannides, Corporate Services at Anson Court

Mum went into Anson Court as an emergency placement after several falls. Coni and her team were very caring, providing mum with dignity and taking into account her needs at all times. The carers team are exceptional (especially Elga who mum formed a close bond with). They also kept our family updated on mum's care and what she needed. This is an exceptional, caring home, and I would recommend it to any family seeking the same.

When Mum had to go into a care home as an emergency, it was one of the most distressing experiences I've ever been through. Everything happened so quickly, and neither of us felt prepared. Seeing Mum so overwhelmed and unsettled was heartbreaking, and I found it incredibly difficult to process everything at the time.

However, from the moment we arrived, the care and compassion shown by the staff made a huge difference. They were not only kind and attentive to Mum, but they also supported me through what was an emotional and uncertain situation. I felt listened to, reassured, and never like I was facing it alone.

I want to especially mention Agle, Anna, and Coni, who went above and beyond during those first difficult days. Their warmth, patience, and genuine kindness helped Mum feel safe, and helped me begin to feel at ease knowing she was in good hands.

Now, just a week later, the difference is incredible. Mum is much more settled and even seems happy. She's eating well, engaging more.

I was so happy when my husband got into Anson Court full time, he was going to the day centre for 2 years, they were wonderful with the residents, played lots of games, made lovely little gifts to bring home. I felt like I had won the lottery when they accepted my husband full time. They make them feel very special on birthdays, Christmas and any other special times. I feel they give residents dignity, care and support.

My beloved husband, who is physically disabled and has Alzheimer's Disease has been looked after by the staff at Anson Court for the past nine months. It took him a little time to settle, but with the help of the wonderful staff, who made every effort to get to know him and understand his dementia, he is now comfortable and relaxed. I cannot praise the staff enough. Without exception they are kind gentle efficient and caring. They are well-trained and work competently together, to the benefit of the residents.
The food at Anson Court is excellent. Care is taken with the menus to ensure maximum nourishment, and meals are well presented, and appetising.
My husband's room looks out onto the garden, which he loves. His bedroom and bathroom are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times.

Over the past nine months there have of course been occasions when I've had questions to ask but all my concerns have been treated seriously and dealt with satisfactorily.

Anson Court is a lovely, lovely home. Where the facilities, my room, the activities and entertainment and with love and care shown by the staff is second to none. The home is kept very warm, clean, and tidy. The new manager is lovely and seems very, very passionate about the love and care of the residents, especially those with dementia. She even sings to the residents. I also love the garden.

It wasn't an easy decision for our mother to go to a Carchome to live. The staff, under the leadership of the manager, provide such a caring environment. The reception is always clean and tidy. Nan's room could be a little tidier. Don't allow her to have stuff on the floor, as she bends over to pick it up and falls.
The carer on reception I asked her to assist with a cushion that fitted Nans chair as she kept falling off. It was over a week before done and only due to me knowing her I asked her and she did it that day. She was a super star

Otherwise happy with Nans overall care and well being.

Carers treated my father with care and respect. Some carers went the extra mile to make father comfortable. Anson Court ordered quickly any necessary equipment to help father. Staff were observant and quick to contact a GP or district nurse when necessary. The bedroom and communal dining area are large and bright and lovely. Carers were friendly and welcoming to relatives visiting father. Carers were supportive to me when I found moments disturbing as father's health declined.

My father has been at Anson Court for six months. The staff have been very kind and caring, ironing out all the little difficulties that arise when someone first goes into care, with patience and understanding. There are activities to take part in - Dad especially enjoys the weekly chair exercise class. The gardens are peaceful and a joy to walk around. The rooms are bright and airy, comfortable and clean. Care is tailored to every individual need. Varied menus and good choice of food. Thanks, Anson Court.
