Mountbatten Lodge is a purpose-build care home that's situated in a quiet residential area with a retail park within walking distance. The home offers residential care, specialist dementia care and respite care.

Within the home you'll find a number of inviting lounges and dining rooms as well as other welcoming communal areas. The home also benefits from a café which is the perfect place to sit and socialise with friends and family over coffee, tea and other refreshments.

Mountbatten Lodge's beautiful landscaped garden includes a number of seating areas situated along a meandering walk way. The perfect place to relax during the warmer months.

The home has its own dedicated activity worker who ensures that there are a wide range of activities to suit every person's interests and personality.

The staff at Mountbatten Lodge have been so supportive and caring to my nan. They have also gone above and beyond with keeping our family informed - sending us regular photos of my nan, arranging video calls etc. My nan says that she likes all of the staff, she likes the food - and that everything is
very clean! My nan seems to be happy and settled and she feels safe - we are grateful to the staff for all their work!

My mum has been in your care for 6 years now and in that time she has gone through a lot of changes and her needs have always been met with confidence and care. She has always been happy and stimulated. I have found the care staff to be considerate of her feelings and needs. Nobody is unsure of their
role and it appears that all the staff are well trained.

When I first had to make appointments to look for a care home for my mother Mountbatten Lodge was the only one of six where I was told to just turn up! The residents were enjoying an exercise lesson and a resident's relative was full of praise for this care home. My mother has been there 9 months now.
The home has 4 units and therefore 4 lounges and 4 dining rooms, which makes for a comfortable, homely atmosphere. There is a lovely cafe/meeting room where the residents get together for varied entertainment. Another lovely quiet room leads out to the popular garden. The home is always clean and tidy, meals on time, laundry is done efficiently and nothing is too much trouble for the carers working there. They are extremely kind and patient and I can leave my mother in the knowledge she is in safe hands and well cared for.

My nan moved into the care home as she couldn't return home. My nan calls it home. Her room is lovely, clean and practical. The staff are so lovely and the atmosphere is like family house.
There are lots of activities which family can also take part in. The staff are wonderful and are very caring
for my nan. Just wanted to say a big thank you.

Mum is very happy at Mountbatten. We feel she is given the right level of care, whilst leaving her some independence.


Any problems are sorted out quickly and we are informed.


My only concern is that a lot of good long-term staff are leaving which can be upsetting for people with dementia.


They

are leaving because of restructuring, not because they are unhappy here.

My mother moved into Mountbatten Lodge in February and we were not sure how she would settle.
She has not been diagnosed with dementia so we are delighted that she considers she is in a lovely hotel and insists she is not going into a care home.

The home is lovely, it is the first contact that I have ever had with a care home and I am extremely pleased with my choice.
The home is a very welcoming place with a lovely atmosphere and the residents are very well cared for. The staff are alert to patients needs and are very good with my dad who
is extremely hard of hearing.
I would thoroughly recommend Mountbatten Lodge to anyone interested in accommodation for a relative.

I can only say that my husband has received the best of care and attention in the 5 and a half years he has been on Mountbatten Lodge. I think the caring is marvellous and the office staff are always there to hear any problems we may have.

When my father arrived at Mountbatten Lodge he was so weak, he was having trouble walking and hardly eating and speaking. we had been caring for him at home and thought we were providing the best care. Until he came here. They have given him back his independence and care for him like a member of the
family. He is very happy and loves the staff who treat him wonderfully. They also support us and understood how we felt. I highly commend and recommend Mountbatten Lodge

I have worked at Quantum Care since 2014, starting as a care worker and progressing to deputy home manager. I have gained my teaching qualification which allows me to teach the following in-house; Manual Handling, Dementia, Medication, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency Aid, Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Food Safety & Nutrition. I have my Level 2 qualification in Seated Exercise and my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am currently working towards my Level 5 Qualification. 


My biggest passion in life is being able to give someone the best quality care and teaching and supporting my team to do the same. I have been in the care industry for many years and my passion is as strong as it was when I was 17.
