Mountbatten Lodge is a purpose-build care home that's situated in a quiet residential area with a retail park within walking distance. The home offers residential care, specialist dementia care and respite care.

Within the home you'll find a number of inviting lounges and dining rooms as well as other welcoming communal areas. The home also benefits from a café which is the perfect place to sit and socialise with friends and family over coffee, tea and other refreshments.

Mountbatten Lodge's beautiful landscaped garden includes a number of seating areas situated along a meandering walk way. The perfect place to relax during the warmer months.

The staff are very friendly and attentive and interact with the residents personally and get to know them by doing things like singing dancing and arts with them. My great-grandmother is very happy. The surrounding area is very nice a very warm place overall. The place looks very nice and well-decorated
nothing looks old and it looks very homey!

Our Mum is very happy at Mountbatten Lodge, all the staff go above and beyond ensuring she is safe and well cared for, which gives my family peace of mind. If there are any issues we are notified by a phone call, happily these are few and far between. Recently they asked all the residents if they had
one wish what would it be, Mum is a massive Elvis fan and her wish was to go to Gracelands which of course was impossible but they arranged for an Elvis impersonator to come along to the care home to perform, seeing mums face light up and singing along to the songs made it all worthwhile. The care staff are very attentive. On occasions, if the carers have time they will take Mum in her wheelchair over to the supermarket, Mum loves this as it makes her feel like she has a purpose and a bit of normality in the outside world. If you are looking for an excellent care home as Elvis would say 'you've come to the right place' well done all of you.

Mum moved into Mountbatten Lodge in November 2022. From the start, staff have been good at helping her settle in. Given all her circumstances she’s done really well, when I visit, it’s clear that she’s in a clean, well-run, friendly home, with supportive staff. We have had issues (not related to the
home or the care there) and the manager could not have been more helpful or supportive. I could only be happier if Mum were nearer me - we are significantly distant geographically. I feel lucky that Mum is in such a good home - the food’s great too!

Staff are always welcoming, kind and attentive.
There is always a member of staff close by for my relatives needs. My relative is living with dementia, but she knows the staff are there to help her.
Whenever I have voiced minor concerns - staff ensure the concern is addressed promptly.

Can not praise the staff enough. They are all kind and caring and go above and beyond to care for the residents. They bring so much joy to residents, spending time with them and finding new ways to entertain them. The home is always clean and well-maintained. They keep us, the family, up to date with
everything happening both in the home and with my nan. We sleep a lot better knowing Nan is in their care, being well looked after, physically, mentally and emotionally. It really is a joy to go in for my weekly visit. Can't thank them all enough and would recommend Mountbatten Lodge to everyone who needs their loved ones looked after.

My mum has been a resident at Mountbatten Lodge now for seven months.
In Mum's first week of being there, she was invited to the Theatre to see Jersey Boys, which she still talks about today.
I can honestly say that my mum is extremely happy there. All the staff are extremely caring and helpful. There
always seem to be lots of activities they can take part in. Last week they held a dementia meeting that relatives or friends could attend which was very interesting.
Mountbatten Lodge is absolutely perfect for my mum.

My Mum loved her time in the care home, she laughed daily and received care beyond expectations while remaining professional. The commitment to all residents was second to none and it was clear the devotion was genuine. They support the residents and family members with true compassion and dignity.

My Nan’s been living at Mountbatten Lodge for over a year now, and I have to say I am always grateful she made the move there as I know she is safe and well looked after. The home is always clean, and the facilities are well laid out making it feel truly welcoming and homely.
The staff are all extremely
attentive and caring, always making sure that my Nan feels comfortable and well-cared for. They take the time to get to know all the residents personally, which helps them provide more individualised care and support. The activities are fantastic, ranging from arts and crafts, zoo outings, animal therapy and even visits from Elvis! There is always something on offer, which makes for a happy, fun environment.
Mountbatten Lodge has a manager who is exceptional. Her dedication to ensuring that the resident's needs are always met and exceeded is inspiring, and we are grateful for all the support she has given to our family over the past year.

My mother was a resident here, she sadly passed away in April. The care given to her throughout her time here was of a high standard. The carers were kind and developed a strong bond with Mum enabling her to feel happy and safe and she was well looked after.

This care home is amazing! All the team treat residents with such dignity and care. Since my father moved in I feel I have also become part of this community! My mother was a resident at Mountbatten Lodge for over 9 years until she died there this year in June. I couldn't praise the staff and management enough and would highly recommend the home to anyone in the area looking for full-time care or respite care. The cleanliness, quality of the staff and 24-hour
care given, was excellent. Even the cost was reasonable compared to other care homes.

I always find the staff courteous and caring. They all provide great care to my mother who never had a bad word to say about them either. Mum enjoys the activities and her food. The lodge itself is pleasant but perhaps could do with a lick of paint here and there. Overall I would say that Mum is happy
and extremely well cared for and that makes her family happy!

The feedback on the maintenance is appreciated, there was scheduled work to be carried out but, the pandemic made it quite challenging as Government regulations restricted visitors to the building. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Mountbatten Lodge for the wonderful jubilee funtion they put on for residents and their families today. The wonderful food and homemade cakes were amazing all the nurses and care staff from the cleaners and upwards went out of their way to make this

I visited my mother on two separate occasions and was very impressed with all the staff, from the minute that I arrived, during my visit and as we left. I work in a care home in the west country and I wish it was to the same standards as Mountbatten Lodge.
The whole presentation of corridors and rooms
etc was excellent.

I have worked at Quantum Care since 2014, starting as a care worker and progressing to deputy home manager. I have gained my teaching qualification which allows me to teach the following in-house; Manual Handling, Dementia, Medication, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency Aid, Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Food Safety & Nutrition. I have my Level 2 qualification in Seated Exercise and my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am currently working towards my Level 5 Qualification. 


My biggest passion in life is being able to give someone the best quality care and teaching and supporting my team to do the same. I have been in the care industry for many years and my passion is as strong as it was when I was 17.
